Any appointments? Questions?: 1 week from today! No questions ATM.

Rants/Raves?: Rave- made it to my friends wedding this weekend and felt pretty good the whole time! It was nice to have a little break from the all day sickness. Also, it's a holiday week so work is nice and quiet. No real rants

How are you feeling?: Better than I have! Lately I have been dealing with more morning sickness rather than all day sickness. I'm getting anxious about my appointment next week.

GTKY: What are you looking forward to eating most on Thanksgiving? (For our Canadian moms, what did you enjoy most?) Leftovers! I love to make Thanksgiving leftover sandwiches with Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce. YUM!

Baby is the size of a(n): Water bottle cap

Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment is the NT scan/NIPT on December 3rd

Rants/Raves?: I’m SO ready to tell my family, but I’m also weirdly nervous. My brain is playing weird tricks on me this pregnancy and I’m reading more into situations than I probably should and making mountains out of molehills. I feel like I’m having a hard time connecting with this baby and I know that being allowed to talk about it and not have to hide it anymore will help. Planning on finally announcing on Thanksgiving and I’m just hoping there isn’t a whole lot of judgement, since this is baby number 4 and everyone seems to have opinions about how many kids you should have. On the other side of things, I’m hoping it’ll make my mom lay off about not having the house perfectly clean (she’s majorly OCD in the literal way and HATES when my house isn’t clean and organized). Trying to keep up with everything while dealing with pregnancy exhaustion that is only just starting to get better and having my husband out to sea has been next to impossible and I’m just so tired of hearing her complain about my lack of house keeping skills. It was so tempting last night to just bark “I’m pregnant! Leave me alone!” at her.

How are you feeling?: I have a nasty head cold that is just starting to get better, but it managed to hit me just as I was starting to feel better. Awesome, right? I’m so over feeling useless. As far as pregnancy symptoms go, the insomnia and need to pee in the middle of the night has hit hard, but the morning sickness has mostly abated and the exhaustion is becoming manageable, so on that front, I’m good. My first blood panels came back and my cholesterol is a bit high, which I knew, but I’m not looking forward to the lecture I’m going to get from my doctor. 🙄 And I’m waiting on my carrier screen results today. So yeah. It’s been a long week.

GTKY: What are you looking forward to eating most on Thanksgiving? (For our Canadian moms, what did you enjoy most?) My dad makes this amazing onion and blue cheese galette on puff pastry that is absolutely Heaven on a plate for me. Super excited about that. My husband also makes AMAZING mashed potato’s with garlic and parsley, and my dad is making sage rubbed turkey stuffed with oranges. The dessert table is also going to be impressive - pecan pie, maple layered cheese cake, apple cake with caramel buttercream garnish, pumpkin pie, and rum cake.

Baby is the size of a(n): raspberry (I think, right? Hahah)

Any appointments? Questions?: next appointment is Nov. 26th

Rants/Raves?: tbh, I’m not looking forward to Thanksgiving  and I wish I could find foods that sound appetizing. I get nauseated when my stomach is empty but nothing really sounds good.

How are you feeling?: amazing, other than the nausea.

GTKY: What are you looking forward to eating most on Thanksgiving? (For our Canadian moms, what did you enjoy most?) I’m making my first vegan Thanksgiving . We don’t really celebrate Thanksgiving, so for us it’s just a family time.

  • Due Date: 6/21, 9w3d

Baby is the size of a green olive

Any appts/Questions: Next appt is 11/28, hoping to get my blood work results (pre-pregnancy my A1C was a little elevated), also hoping I am set up on patient portal soon.

Raves: I told my aunts/uncles/grandma (95 years old) via FaceTime this weekend. My grandma kept asking if I was serious, and everyone else kept asking each other how long we’ve been married (14 years!). We live on the opposite side of the country from both of our families, so it was great to see how happy they all were.

Rants: prune juice is disgusting but taking it via shot glass helps. Bloating, constipation, and dehydration are no joke.

How are you feeling? Soooo tired.

GTKY: I am looking forward to stuffing (I bake it in a bundt pan so it gets crispy), brussels sprouts (halfbakedharvest on IG’s recipe with hazelnuts) pumpkin cake.
  • Due date/W+D: 6/22, 9+2

Baby is the size of a(n): Cherry

Any appointments? Questions?: We had our first OB appointment on Friday. My bloods came back this weekend with slightly elevated TSH so back I go for a thyroid panel tomorrow. I also have my weekly blood draw with my RE’s office while I start to wean off the PIO and estradiol patches, so tomorrow will be a day of needles.

Rants/Raves?: So. Hungry. All. The. Time. But my nausea has mostly abated unless I let the hunger get out of control. Not looking forward to doing my PIO in an airport bathroom tomorrow night. JFK is not clean.

How are you feeling?: See above.

    Stuffing!!

  • @pai314 maybe a knuckle sandwich will help your aunt!🤦🏻‍♀️ I'm totally kidding I know people only try to hurt other people because they're hurting but that still gives her no right!
  • @pai314 - LOL @ your aunt. Just keep reminding yourself that her comments are a reflection on her and her situation - not you and yours.

@KissMeImScottish - Girl, I'll say it again. You're superwoman. Do NOT feel badly about your mother's comments. MH isn't at sea, but he flies all. day. and we don't have any children yet - I'm barely keeping the house together these days.

    Due date/W+D: June 17th, 9w6d

Baby is the size of a(n): Strawberry

Any appointments? Questions?: Next u/s is on Nov 29th just before the in-laws come into town on Dec. 1 and we break the news. H is going to come. He's been very clinical about the pregnancy so far but I think he's starting to get excited. He's definitely terrified, though.  :D

Rants/Raves?: There's so much to do before we leave town tomorrow for the holiday weekend, but I'm excited. We're going to Dallas to visit old friends that we haven't seen in a long time. I've never been (other than DFW :D )! I love seeing new places.

How are you feeling?: Eh, mostly better. The MS has improved, but it flares up after dinner. The fatigue is still real. I've not been sleeping well - just really restless and I always have to pee. Every day I wake up still tired even after 9+ hours of sleep.

GTKY: What are you looking forward to eating most on Thanksgiving? (For our Canadian moms, what did you enjoy most?) Cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes! I could totally skip the turkey and I'm a meat-loving gal.

  • Due date/W+D: 10w2d: June 16

Baby is the size of a(n): kumquat

Any appointments? Questions?: appointment on Friday to review blood glucose

Rants/Raves?: my DH has been awesome stepping up taking care of our DD these last few weeks. He plays with her so well when I’m too tired to fake enthusiasm.

How are you feeling?: sooooo tired

GTKY: What are you looking forward to eating most on Thanksgiving? (For our Canadian moms, what did you enjoy most?) The turkey and gravy. I’m going to try not to cry too hard about all the carbs I want but am not allowed to have.

  • Due date/W+D: June 22/9+3

Baby is the size of a(n): cherry

Any appointments? Questions?: My first appointment is next week, FINALLY! We went ahead with a midwife practice this time so everything is very new and different then what I'm used to. I've never gone this long without an ultrasound and my anxiety ridden brain keeps telling me something will be wrong BUT trying to ignore that.

Rants/Raves?: I am on day 9 of the flu from hell. Finally a little better but still coughing and hacking and feeling totally wiped out. Really hoping it's completely gone by the weekend! RAVE I missed you guys! Between going to Disneyland (which was the best time ever!) and then being knocked out by illness running rampant in the house I haven't had a chance to pop in for a bit. Glad to be back!

How are you feeling?: I started taking dicletin for nausea and I notice a big difference. I take two at night and it seems to get my through the night and most of the day. I tried skipping a dose to see how I was doing and threw up so staying on it for now.

GTKY: What are you looking forward to eating most on Thanksgiving? (For our Canadian moms, what did you enjoy most?) oh, I worked on Thanksgiving, it was a total bummer. But I did get the house to myself for a bit between when I got home from work and when DH and the kiddos got back from dinner so that was nice. They also brought me a plate of yumminess so I didn't totally miss out!
