Not sure if this will take off -- but what the heck, I'm throwing it out there. We know this is a great place to vent, and we definitely need that support. But sometimes it's just as necessary to have a place to celebrate as to commiserate! Maybe your husband made dinner so you could nap for an extra 20 minutes. Maybe your DD picked up her toys without being nagged. Maybe your boss paid you a nice compliment. Heck, maybe you had a good BM. Nothing is too small to cheer for! So -- if you feel like it -- share the awesome things that happen here, so we can smile along with you.

My DH was up at 7 am this morning and instead of trying to get me up early too he let me sleep until I woke up on my own. Thank god too since I was up no less than 4 times in the night

DH cleaned out our pantry yesterday, which I’ve been putting off for MONTHS. Then we went shopping and he didn’t complain once, lol. Lastly I got a good back rub even though I’m on pelvic rest and he knew it wasn’t going to lead to anything else....pretty sure a back rub really was what lead to me being 9 w 2d right now to begin with! haha

Our cabinets were finally finished yesterday and for the first time we laid out the kitchen and I couldnt be more excited. Everything is my size (5’1 here so I am used to not being able to use most of my kitchen cabinets) and the finish and look is simply gorgeous yet subtle. 2 more weeks for the countertops to get done and then I will have a kitchen!!

my kitchen and my livingroom are actually clean and it feels so good to sit down and watch the football game with them clean! I also had a strawberry banana shake and I'm contemplating going to get a 2nd!

Got to hang out with my niece and nephew this afternoon. They just light up my life so much, and I get to see them tomorrow too -- every fall, we watch Pocahontas together, and that's tomorrow for this year. They're almost 5 and barely 2, and both of them know that Baby Nugget lives in Aunt Ki's tummy. They were coming up with names, which is always amusing. Both are convinced it's a girl, which I wouldn't think much about, except that my niece has had a weird sense with this stuff...she somehow knew I was pregnant before I did, and somehow knew she was getting a little black brother (my nephew is adopted) before she even really knew what race is, and before they had been matched with his bio parents. Anyway, when I left, my niece came running to the window to yell at me that she forgot to tell me before I left that she loves Baby. I can't quit smiling at that...just melted my heart so much.

DH just came home with flowers, a card, and a box Ferrero Rocher. Anxiety has been kicking my ass lately and this was so sweet of him. The card was a “feel better soon” card that had Winnie the Pooh and the quote from Christopher Robin that says “You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.”
I ugly cried.

Ha this is kinda not a big thing but I was FaceTiming with my niece who is only 15 months. She can’t say my name or “auntie” yet but she was showing me her toys and she showed me a cat so I meowed. Her face just lit up and she lifted up the iPad really close to her face and meowed back at me and giggled when I meowed back again. It just felt kinda special.

I work at a great small salon as an independent hairstylist. That I manage myself and my clients and have no “boss”, but I pay the owner a weekly rent for my space (and I LOVE working like this! Such a low stress job!) I told the owner that I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago since we are pretty close and she knew we were trying. I can take off as much time as I want, as long as I am paying my rent so I was thinking I would probably only take 6 weeks off since my fiancé works from home and will be staying home with the baby. Well, last week the owner told me that as a woman running a business in a mostly female dominant industry, she has decided she wants to support women by offering us 6 weeks maternity leave!! That’s six weeks of no rent and holding my chair!!! I cried of course! Haha But that is unheard of in our industry (at least in our area) and I am so grateful!!

@flutterjen That’s so amazing!

So this starts bad but ends good. My toddler is a destructive force of nature and I’ve been really struggling to keep up. And the MS was kicking my butt today and all the mess everywhere was making it worse, so I begged my DH to clean. After a 3 hour nap with DS, I came out of our bedroom to find jack all done. So I asked DH why and when he was going to do it, and he said “I don’t feel like it’s my responsibility or my mess, so I don’t know how much Im even going to do”. I flipped out, left him home alone, and ran to the grocery store to avoid a bigger fight, but I called him on my way home and asked if this was the hill he wanted to die on, and he apologized and then cleaned our bedroom and the living room. I’m super grateful and happy the house is clean and I didn’t have to do it.
