Any appointments? Questions?: I'm having tailbone pain that worsens with walking and sitting on hard surfaces. It seems that walking more than 15 minutes really sets it off. This is really upsetting as I'm trying to stay in shape. I can do yoga sometimes and have started water classes at my gym. If you have this, what's working for you?
Rants/Raves?: So thankful for my husband who has been helping me a lot with the tailbone issues by doing things like starting laundry and changing the sheets. Can't imagine being pregnant/ parenting without the support of a partner. Single moms, I have mad respect for you.
How are you feeling?: see above ha
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Sleeping in, then cooking and cleaning. Not leaving the house!
@govanalyst86 sorry you’re dealing with tailbone pain, but glad YH is being good about helping! I’ve only dealt with it when sitting too lone, so I’m afraid I can’t help.
Due date: 3/15 (Dr says 3/12)
Any appointments? Questions?: Appointment next week.
Rants/Raves?: Rave: DH planted a bunch of the trees and shrubs we bought least weekend and I love how our backyard is coming together! Rant: had to deal with my dad’s wife this weekend and it always leaves me grumpy.
How are you feeling?: Can’t complain, some pelvic achiness, constantly hungry (this morning involved 3 snacks and I still ate lunch right at noon...) and grumpier than normal.
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Snuggle on the couch with a good book and tea!
Appts/Questions: my next appt is tomorrow. I have a fetal echo. My regular 24 week appt is on the 30th.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I don't like that my due date falls on a Sat. They want my appts to be set on the Mon following the change of week. I really wish they'd let me schedule them for the thur or fri before. Rave: I can't believe we're almost to 24 week viability. Also, I'm so excited for thanksgiving. Two thanksgivings sounds amazing to me considering how quickly I get full.
How are you feeling? Pretty good. No changes in symptoms, but I've come to except that this pregnancy will leave me feeling my worst, but it will be worth it in the end.
GTKY: a cup of tea and a good book. Listening to the rain.
Next appointment is the first week of December, and will be my glucose test. I don't know why, but I'm getting major anxiety about it.
Rants/Raves?:
I'm in nesting mode, so we ordered our crib last week and it should be delivered today, and I'm SOOOOOOOOO excited!
@Kenneylynn3 The appointment thing sounds annoying. My OB office doesn't get too hung up on what day or even week I come in for appointments. My next appointment, I'll actually be 26 weeks. There are some weeks I can't make it on the days they have available, so we just schedule when I can get there, and a couple times now that has pushed us out a week, and they don't seem to care.
How are you feeling?:
Not too bad. Trying to navigate the rhythm of my GI system is a continuing experiment, but otherwise feeling OK. Loving all the baby kicks, though baby is starting to hit my bladder occasionally, which is a pretty unpleasant sensation
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day?
Sleeping in and snuggling with our pup And then baking something
Any appointments: met one of the doctors at my OB practice today, she was great in terms of timeliness and obviously a great doctor but I’m hoping the one I meet next month has a more compatible-to-me bedside manner.
Rants/Raves?: She tried to pull the report from my Csection so we could discuss potential VBAC and came back frustrated that it wasn’t available... hoping that is not a permanent issue!
How are you feeling?: happy to have regular movements!
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Curled up watching movies with blankets and snacks was my answer pre-kid, now it’s whatever DD wants since there is no rest
Me: 30 DH: 31 Married: 2012 BFP #1 Sept 2014, MMC Dec 2014 | BFP #2 May 2015, DD Jan 2016 | BFP #3 May 2017, MC July 2017 | BFP #4 Jan 2018, MC Feb 2018 | BFP #5 July 2018, fingers crossed
Any appointments? Questions?: Next appointment is on the 28, with the midwife that held group sessions 3 years ago when I was pregnant with my first son (now they rotate, so I get to meet all). I'm looking forward to seeing her, she was really nice!
Rants/Raves?: Can't choose a nice family picture for our Christmas cards. It was raining heavily during our session, and that made me very anxious. I also don't like how my hair looks in the pictures, and my dress. We wanted to announce the pregnancy via the card to remote friends and relatives, but for that we need a good picture!
How are you feeling?: Very congested, and I read that it's normal. Last time I was pregnant during summer and I don't recall it.
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Pre-kiddo: reading a book on my laptop, and drinking hot chocolate. Post-kiddo: praying that there are any indoor activities that we can go to so that he gets his energy out
Any appointments? Questions?: my next appt is Monday, it’s my 24 week scan which I’m so excited to see this little beauty again.
Rants/Raves?: experienced hormonal range all day yesterday, that was not fun or enjoyable. Thankfully today was a new day and I was in a way better mood.
How are you feeling?: good for the most part. Lower back pain is consuming my life getting out of chairs and out of bed.
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Watching movies all day and listening to the rain
We have two sleeping beauties in heaven. Jack gained his wings on 09/02/2016. Kali gained her wings on 07/28/2015. They will be forever missed.
Any appointments? I have monthly growth ultrasounds beacause of twins. I had one on Tuesday. The girls are measuring 1lb 2oz and 1lb 3oz approx. Baby A is head down and tucked in my pelvis and Baby B is transverse and up in my ribs...which explains why I am constantly short of breath and cannot get comfortable already at 23 weeks. Everything looks good though.
Questions?: Not really
Rants/Raves?: I'm just so dissappointed that I don't get any part of this pregnancy to enjoy. With my older girls I really enjoyed being pregnant and felt pretty good once the nausea let up at 20ish weeks. I even felt fine at 40 and 3/4 when they delivered. This time I'm just uncomfortable ALL THE TIME. I'm constantly out of breath, can't stand for more than a few minutes without compression stockings on because of varicose veins and can't walk very far without my right leg going numb. So I'm at past 3rd tri discomforts and not even there yet.
How are you feeling?: See above. We just moved into our house on Halloween and I'm living in a sea of boxes with half of my stuff still in storage and no washer (have to buy an electric one) because I can't find the energy to do anything about it and still have enough left for the kids.
GTKY: What’s your favorite way to spend a rainy day? Curled up with a book or yarnwork while I stay warm and dry. We had plenty of cold rainy days last week but ironically I didn't do any of that.
@Kenneylynn3 So glad to hear the fetal echo went well! I was supposed to have one for the twins on the 27th (because of their sister's Tetralogy of Fallot) but they just bumped it to December 11th because they didn't allow enough time for twins when they scheduled it 4 weeks ago ) While I'm expecting it to be normal, I would have liked that reassurance SOONER.
