    Everyone keeps telling me I must be having a girl because of how awful I feel this time around.  We'll find out in a week if they're correct!

    @eli_belle- see the bolded. This is a poll to find out the sex #'s for our bmb- there's no reason in having a team green option as we want to know the # of girls vs boys.

    It might be nice to have an option for not finding out. Then we’d know # of boys, # of girls, and #of people not finding out. More information is always better! Lots of opinion polls include a “don’t know” option ;)

    @professormama unless I'm reading the post wrong, that's not what this particular poll is for. Why don't we start a Team Green thread for those mamas who are waiting to find out?

    I agree with @professormama. There are some team greens who will not find out until the birth and by then, most of us will have jumped ship to FB or another platform. Most of the time there is a team green option.

    So many of us having boys around here!

    @kangstadt if that old wives tale is true I might actually die if I ever cook up a girl.  I always half believed that BS until my last pregnancy when 3 pregnant friends having girls felt great and I suffered miserably for 16 weeks with a boy (and this time appears no different).  I guess we'll know soon if you support the theory!

    Isn’t the thread just “for” gathering information and fun? It wouldn’t change the ratio of boys to girls in the bmb to also know how many people choose not to know the sex in advance, and it would be more inclusive.

    @professormamathe post reads that way. It's trying to find out the #'s, and even says for Green mamas to come back when they know and vote. I don't care, I'm just pointing out what the post says.

    Rather than count how many moms are green, why not start an entire thread devoted to them, like we do for Canada moms, STM's, over 35 moms, etc.? I'm not saying to exclude anyone but a poll trying to determine # of boys vs girls doesn't really need a green option- it's not applicable, since you don't want to know the sex. But ya'll do whatever you want :)

    @kangstadt Right? I was expecting closer to 50/50. I wonder if there are many girl babes in Team Green or if the stats may change a lot over the next month with all the moms waiting until 20 weeks to find out.

    At my anatomy scan today, I let the technician know that DH and I dont want to know the sex. But my mil and fil were there and mil wanted to know to throw a gender reveal. The tech told us when to close our eyes when she got to the genitals and took a screenshot for mil. When she told us to open our eyes again, the screen was stuck on the screenshot and even though the tech didnt say, I'm really sure that I saw testicles before it caught up to real time. The tech gave the potty shot to my mil with the sex written on a paper. I don't want to say that I'm pretty sure I know we're having a boy.
    Positive perspective: I would feel much more disappointed if I were on Team Green.

    @mermaidca, that's not a bad thing!  Teach him to embrace the pink and fight stereotypes :wink:.  (My son rocked French braids today until he finally got sick of them and pulled them out.  His hair is now officially past his shoulders, haha.)

    @mighty_montgomery with DD, the dr called to give us NIPT results. No trisomies-great! And then we also found out you’re having a -LALALALALALA WE DON’T WANT TO KNOW. 
    DH and I looked at each other and admitted that we both heard “boy,” so we were probably 70% sure that’s what it was until DH saw the results in the computer much later and tipped me off once we were in the hospital. It’s very possible you’re wrong!

    @mighty_montgomery and @lyse01 basically the same thing happened to me last pregnancy...at my 20 week scan, I told the US tech that i didn't want to know the sex,(she was going to tell my H and he was going to surprise me and DD with a cute reveal) she forgot to tell me to look away and I definitely saw what looked like testicles. When we got in the car to go home after my scan I said, i know its a boy lol.
    H and I both plan on not finding out but our anatomy scan is next week, we will see.
