Re: TWW Monday 11/12

  • I’m just going to say I go here now.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 21/??

    Timing: Not great.

    Typical LP length: 7-12 days.

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: It’s Monday! I binged watched Schitt’s Creek this weekend and it was amazing being lazy for once lol.

CS/Q: I’m so unsure of what’s happening here lol. I’m going to temp for a few more days and see if I get CH.

  • @brookert615 I’m sorry your cycle is being so confusing! I totally get the frustration. I’m glad you had a relaxing weekend!

    Month/Cycle: 7/5

    CD/DPO: 34/8

    Timing: -5,-3,-1

    Typical LP length: 15 days

    Testing: Thursday (11DPO)

R/R: H and I got a lot done around the house this weekend! Really trying to hold out to test until Thursday even though Ava wrongly thinks I’m 12dpo today...

CS/Q: I’ve noticed this cycle and last that my RHR rises leading up to O but then steadily decreases during my LP. Last cycle it spiked on 11DPO and stayed elevated for a few days so naturally I thought I was KU but obviously not. I know RHR is supposed to stay elevated after O so not sure what the deal is.

  • @brookert615 I just started Schitt’s Creek. Love it so far!

Month/Cycle: 24/idk, currently benched pending testing

    CD/DPO: 17/4

    Timing: n/a

Typical LP length: 14ish? Second cycle temping so still figuring everything out.

    Testing: wfaf

R/R: slowed down a lot after this past week. DH was off all weekend, plus today, so it’s been nice spending some quality time with him.

CS/Q: my chart is terrible this cycle.

  • Month/Cycle:  10/4

    CD/DPO: 17/3

    Timing: -1

    Typical LP length: 9

    Testing: WFAF

R/R: I dunno, I think I'm feeling too blah to come up with something. I guess I'll rant about the mental toll this takes on us. Dudes don't have to go google every little symptom or chart question or constantly battle the daily rollercoaster of "I need more information!"... 5 minutes later, "You need to calm yourself down. You don't need more information, just wait." DH and I agreed on a window that we would try for and it's closing in. I think the reality of this not happening is setting in and really making me down. Rave: I'm so thankful for this group even if I haven't made the most of it lately. I'm looking forward to being a better member and contributor for the few months I have left. Not sure why I thought it was better to go alone.

CS/Q: I just got the Ava bracelet and I know it takes a few cycles to calibrate but my first two temps have been low and weird. 96.57 and 94.71. What is that about? Should I be concerned or just consider it a fluke?

  • @dogmomma096 Glad you were able to get so much done!!! That temp rise is looking good! FX for you!  <3

@kbrown2385 That is so wonderful to hear about your weekend - glad you were able to spend that quality time!

@SA0012 Sorry for all of the emotions your dealing with right now  <3.

  • @brookert615  sorry things aren't more clear this cycle. Super frustrating.

    Month/Cycle: 4

    CD/DPO:  32/11w

    Timing:  not great

    Typical LP length:  11ish

Testing:  trying to wait until tomorrow (FF says AF due today)... but having all the AF signs today, so probably won't be necessary.

R/R:  just feeling down today. Likely to head over to WTO soon. I'm just pissy that my stupid cycle is always in slow motion, so it'll be another 21+ days until O. Ugh.

    CS/q:  nothing.
  • Month/Cycle: 6/6 (benched this cycle)

    CD/DPO: 23/10ish

    Timing: F-

    Typical LP length: 14ish

    Testing: lol, no.

R/R: Had a great time at SIL’s beach house and we saw seals on the harbor cruise!! I also tried one of those electric Lime scooters which was SO much fun!!! But then I proceeded to *almost* hit a runner (who runs in the city in the most touristy part, anyways?!?) and decided that I should give up my electric scootin’ career.

    CS/Q: Not today, broski.
  • @SA0012 I'm sorry you're feeling so down. I totally agree that men (in general) don't understand how much we stress over every little detail. I have the Ava bracelet and am on my 3rd month using it. First, your temps with Ava are going to be much lower than temps from an oral/vaginal BBT. Ava takes your skin surface temperature rather than an internal temperature so it is normal for it to be pretty low (normal range is 90.5 to 98.2). Also, my first cycle using it, my temps were pretty erratic for the first week or so. Did you just start using it on CD17? It's recommended to start at the beginning of a cycle, but can't hurt to keep using it through the rest of this cycle (just keep in mind that any information from it might be unreliable). Last month was more consistent, and this month (cycle 3) has been the most consistent temps of all so I think it does take about 3 months to fully adapt.
  • @lcking82 Hugs to you and I hope AF stays away  Having a late O really does drag out this whole process and make it feel like it's moving so slowly. Every cycle I'm like "maybe I'll O on CD14 like a normal person!" so we HIO like crazy starting CD10, but O just keeps getting later and later and I get tired of HIO and frustrated with my body. Be kind to yourself and I hope you get to stay here.

Will be back later to tag! In a day long conference for work so can’t have TB pulled up on my computer- surrounded by coworkers.

    Month/Cycle: 13/13

    CD/DPO: 20/7

    Timing: good

    Typical LP length: 13-15

    Testing: not for a while

R/R: rant- this all day conference today and tomorrow. Rave- I basically only have a 2 day work week because of this conference and then I’m doing a day of “VTO”- volunteer time off- on Thursday.

CS/Q: I knew I should’ve stopped temping but now I’m just in the habit. Trying not to SS today as I had a huge drop this morning so of course I’m over analyzing every twinge 🙄

    ETA chart

  • @brookert615 Why do you have open circles on CD18-21? If CD20 wasn’t so low I’d say you maybe O’d on CD17ish. Also, I have been looking for a new show to watch, maybe I’ll start watching that Schitt’s Creek!

@dogmomma096 Woohoo for being productive around the house all weekend!

@kbrown2385 Yay for spending some quality time with YH!

@SA0012 I’m sorry you’re having a rough time. Have you had a heart to heart with YH about extending your timeframe? There’s no harm in telling him how you feel.

@Icking82 I’m hoping it’s KU symptoms and not AF for you!

@brookert615 Glad you were able to have a lazy weekend. It's always good to rest and recharge for the week. I hope you get your CH's soon!
@dogmomma096 So glad you were able to get a lot done! I wore a fitbit for a few cycles and I think I remember my RHR being elevated after O but not sure. Does Ava track your RHR for you?
@kbrown2385 Glad you got some quality time with YH.
@SA0012 I agree that it isn't fair how guys don't have to worry about everything we do when ttc. That's why I think this group is so helpful because we can share and commiserate together and it helps to know you aren't alone. Sending you extra love and hugs today. <3
@lillywonderland It sounds like you had an awesome weekend. I'm sorry that your lime scooter career was cut short. :D

    Month/Cycle: 11/11 (2 benched out of these)

    CD/DPO: 22 / 5 DPO

    Timing: -4, -3, -1, 0

    Typical LP length: 13

    Testing: too early

R/R: Rant: It's been raining for a week straight and I just need it to stop. It makes my fibro pain & sinuses really bad because of the pressure changes and it also makes me just want to sleep and not get anything done.
Rave: My husband and I had a really good talk last night. We've been in couples counseling to work on our communication and it has really been beneficial and helpful.

CS/Q: My temp is jumping way up there but I think it's because I started sleeping with two blankets since it's gotten a lot chillier.

  • @littleredm Yes, Ava tracks RHR and breathing rate. My RHR just seems so off but temps definitely confirm O.
  • @lillywonderland I usually temp once I wake up for my morning pee which is around 4:30 but I took it within the hour but not exactly on the dot - I'm assuming that's why? Also... HOW COOL about seeing the seals! I saw some in San Francisco and it was seriously so cute! Too funny about the scooter lol. Schitt's Creek I feel had a slow start but it gets pretty funny! David is my favorite.

@lcking82 So sorry you're down today  <3<3<3! Sending all of the hugs!

@b_1029 Hopefully the conference flies today! Too cool about the two-day work week!

@littleredm FX the rain stops and you can get some relief!!! That's so awesome your communication is getting better!

  • @brookert615 welcome! I’m sorry for the confusing cycle!
@dogmomma096 yay for a productive weekend! It’s always so much easier heading into the week!
@kbrown2385 that’s great that you were able to spend quality time with DH!
@SA0012 echoing what others have said, I’m sorry you’re feeling down about this. Just know you have a supportive community here ❤️
@lcking82 I’m sorry you’re feeling down :( I hope it’s not AF! FX for you!
@lillywonderland how dare that runner get in the way of your scooter career?!!!
@littleredm I’m sorry you’re not feeling good but am glad you and DH and are communicating better. It’s so important during this crazy process!
  • Good morning my lovelies! @kiki047 Thinking of you today!!

@brookert615 Have you tried discarding that random temp spike from a few weeks ago to see what FF does?

@dogmomma096 FX for you think week!! Temps are looking good but I agree, it is odd that your RHR keeps declining. Have you recently started exercising more than usual?

@kbrown2385 Do you temp vaginally? Is that what a chart typically looks like for you?

@SA0012 Are you using the bracelet and temping manually? I would expect the Ava temp to be lower because it's measuring off of your wrist and not inside your body. I wouldn't be too concerned. Also, I totally get the rant about DH. Mine can't even take his chewy vitamins every day. Seriously? They're like candy.

@lillywonderland So glad the weekend was a blast! And I have no idea why these cities are bringing electric scooters to their highest volume areas. I can't even ride one without hurting myself (or others) in my drive way. Bless you and the poor pedestrian who almost lost his life  :D

@lcking82 Sorry for the AF symptoms BUT lucky for you those are also KU symptoms!! :D fx af stays away.

@b_1029 Good luck at your conference today!! Sorry for the temp drop :(

@littleredm It's so refreshing to have good convos with DH. I think I'm going to ask mine to come with me to my counselor next visit just to refresh our communication skills. Thank goodness we have DHs who will do things like that. I know a lot of men won't/don't. How did dinner party go?

    Month/Cycle: 12?13?

CD/DPO: 27/9 Hoping to get at least 12 days LP

    Timing: n/a

    Typical LP length: 10-13

    Testing: no need

R/R: Excited for my follow up RE appointment but dreading my recent TSH results. All of my hypothyroid symptoms seem to be coming back after having been on the meds 2.5 and doubling my dose. Bleh.

    CS/Q: Nah

  • @nomangos23 Yeah, it doesn't do anything different... maybe because I noted I drank the night before? Oh well! Sorry you're dreading your results. May I ask what meds they have you on? I have Hashimoto's and they kept upping my Levothyroxine and then decided to move me to me to Armour and now my levels are steady.

  • @brookert615 Same, Levothyroxine. What's weird if I felt results immediately then the symptoms started to slowly come back and the levels aren't budging. We doubled the dose and I'm afraid I'll go in tomorrow and see they still haven't moved.
  • @nomangos23 So frustrating. Getting those levels right and feeling right is seriously the worst process. FX your RE will have a solution for you. I know a lot of doctors won't push Armour or Nature Thyroid from what I read (something about Levo and big pharma) but they helps the T3 levels as well. I noticed a huge difference in about 3 weeks and I'm not on as high of a dose either now. Not sure if you follow Izabella Wentz but she has a book called "The Root Cause" - there's a lot of good info!

  • @lcking82 I'm sorry about the AF symptoms. Long cycles can be super frustrating. :/
@b_1029 I feel you on the SS. I'm at 5dpo and going down the google rabbit hole so I'm trying to tell myself to chill out. That's awesome about the 2 day work week and VTO. Where are you doing for your VTO day?
@nomangos23 That's so frustrating about your TSH results. I hope that your appointment with your RE goes well and your results are much better this time. We're definitely lucky to have husbands who are willing to work on things.. I think everybody could honestly benefit from a little counseling in their life, whether that be for marriage or other aspects. The dinner party was a big success. It was very chill and low key and the food turned out perfect! (thank goodness :p )
  • @littleredm some people from my team and I are doing habitat for humanity! I’m really excited!
  • @brookert615 Glad you were able to have a relaxing weekend!

@dogmomma096 That’s great you and YH had a productive weekend! Hope you had some down time as well. My RHR this cycle rose nicely then started dropping at about 9 dpo, but last cycle it was all over the place and looked like a roller coaster. On the AVA website, it does say that for some women RHR rises after ovulation and then falls during the luteal phase. Your temps clearly show you ovulated!

@kbrown2385 Glad you got to spend some quality time with YH! I hope you get some answers soon from your testing.

@SA0012 Sorry you’re feeling down. I love this group because it makes me feel less alone and crazy. As others have said, that’s normal for your skin temp to be lower.

@lcking82 Sorry you’re feeling down. Maybe a glass or three of wine tonight? (I’ll join you)

@lillywonderland That sounds like so much fun! Glad you had a good time! And seals! Aw  <3

@b_1029 Hope the conference flies by. Yay for a short work week! Nice looking chart!

@littleredm Glad counselling is going well for you and YH. Hopefully the rain stops soon. I agree, it’s hard to get anything done when it’s yucky out.. I just want to crawl under the covers with a book and cup of tea.

@nomangos23 Hope your results come back ok!

R/R: Today or tomorrow will be my last day here. Having AF symptoms and had a temp drop as well, so I’m feeling a little down. DH has the day off today so we might do a few errands. I’ll probably treat myself to some wine tonight if AF arrives.

  • @brookert615 I'm tentatively joining y'all in the TWW too... my chart is also confusing me. Sorry you're in a weird state of limbo for now! Glad you had a nice relaxing wkd. I've only seen a few episodes of Schitt's Creek but from what I have seen, it's hilarious!
@dogmomma096 that's weird about your RHR. Mine used to be a good indicator but lately I haven't trusted it because of my anxiety. Regardless of RHR, your temps look great!
@kbrown2385 that's nice that you've gotten to spend some quality time with YH. That's my favourite way to spend my downtime these days.
@SA0012 I'm sorry TTC is taking its toll on you. We've all been there. Glad you've come back to hang out with us. I hope being able to talk about it will help relieve some of the stress, and you're always welcome to vent here when you need to.
@lcking82 Oh man, I hear you on the slow-mo feeling. The long cycles are extra draining. I'm sorry AF is knocking on your door...
@lillywonderland How are you feeling? Are your blisters gone yet? Your weekend sounds like fun! I'm not balanced or coordinated enough for scooters (or walking, for that matter), so I probably would've been that person that wiped out or crashed into someone.
@b_1029 hope the conference goes quickly and you can enjoy your short work week.
@littleredm that's so good to hear that therapy is helping! I hope the weather gets better soon so you're feeling better. I have arthritis in a few of my joints and it's flaring up right now because of the weather here too. Glad your dinner party went well!
@nomangos23 I <3  you, thank you! I'll update here and in the IF thread (with questions). Feeling calmer now but was a bundle of nerves earlier.

    Month/Cycle: 11/8

    CD/DPO: 32/4 (?)

Timing: meh. I'm not convinced I even O'd when FF says I did but based on tentative CH, -3, +1

    Typical LP length: 6-9 days

Testing: Ha! My RE said to POAS tonight because I have to start provera soon and schedule CD3 testing but obvi it's going to be a BFN because at best I might be 4-6 DPO? I call tomorrow for test results from the bloodwork to confirm it's negative.

R/R: Neither a rant or a rave... RE appt went about as well as can be expected. Need more tests to get more answers. Both MF and I almost passed out/puked from them taking sooo much blood. I'm good with like 4 vials, anything beyond that and I'm donezo. That was embarrassing. MF had to get his done in an exam room so he could lie down, and our RE made him stay there until I got up on the table for my exam almost an hour later.
Was prescribed metformin, and provera that he said I can start either right away (after I POAS), in the next 10 days, or WFAF. Then I go for cycle monitoring and an echovist, and MF will do his SA this week too.

CS/Q: Not totally convinced I actually O'd but I have tentative CH so I'm going with that for now.

  • @kiki047 Do you know what they tested today? Did you like the RE and the nurses in the office?

@nomangos23 He didn't get into specifics and I ran out of time to ask him to elaborate about the bloodwork but he did mention initial testing for STD/STIs (I had a pap too) and HCG. He's also going to submit a request for genetic testing because I was born with a congenital birth defect. It's superficial but he said at the very least I should go for research purposes because there's still inconclusive evidence that it's a genetic abnormality or just a randomly occurring birth defect.

ETA: I forgot to answer the second part of your question. I really liked the RE, he was very personable and made us feel comfortable from the start. He joked around just enough without being flippant. He did talk really fast and it felt a little rushed (this was after waiting an hour just to get in) but that's also just our medical system. We didn't have any interactions with the nurses today, just the lab tech that works there (who was also very nice). Feeling pretty ok with our decision so far... the location of the clinic is also great in terms of being accessible, having free parking, and proximity to both home and work. That's the main reason I chose it. If I had to fight to get downtown between 7-9am for monitoring I'd be pulling my hair out and I'd be so stressed by the time I got there.

  • @kiki047 so glad to hear it went well! Liking the doctor and his staff are just as important as his protocol I think.
  • @misshelen86 cheers, my dear!

@kiki047 I’m so glad there was some “work” done!  First steps accomplished!

  • @b_1029 Yay for short work weeks! What kind of conference is it? Boring or exciting? Lol. Also, props to you for volunteering! I kinda fell off that bandwagon after college, eep.

@littleredm Rain, rain go away! I’m sorry about your crappy weather and pain, but I’m so glad that counseling is working great for you! I’ll try to send some sunshine your way! 😎

@nomangos23 Gaah, every time I type out your s/n I misspell “mangos”. I want to add an e for some reason. Anywho, creeping on your convo with @brookert615, but I would push hard for an alternative to the Levo if it’s not budging your levels. Sometimes doctors are used to only prescribing 1 or 2 kinds of medication for a certain condition because it’s what has worked for them and their patients in the past. There are so many drugs out there that you should be able to find one that your body will react to. Also, it might be interesting to note whether or not you’re taking the generic or brand name prescription. As a rule, the generic has the same active ingredient as the branded but the “fillers/preservatives” are different in many genetics (unless of course the manufacturer of the generic is the branded company...yada yada yada). It’s not completely inconceivable that you could have a reaction to the “fillers/preservatives” in your drug.

@kiki047 I was super creepily thinking about you all day. I’m so glad that you had a fairly positive experience at the RE (minus the whole blood thing - I might be in the minority of the entire human population that actually enjoys getting blood taken, lol).

@misshelen86 Many, many hugs to you. ❤️ I’m hoping that pee stick was wrong (and it still could be) so I’ll be thinking and sending all the positive vibes your way.

@pugmum I’m so sorry. ❤️ Are you feeling any better by chance?
  • @lillywonderland eh, somewhere in the middle! I’m part of the team that organizes it so I’m just glad it’s here and will be over soon. And I’ve been bad about volunteering too, but my company gives you a day of VTO per year so I’ve finally started again since I started working here! Also very interesting to read your stuff you wrote about levo- @nomangos23 @brookert615 I am also on it, don’t feel like it does much for me
  • @kiki047 I’m so glad to hear your RE appointment went well! FX for good results!
@PugMum sorry for the spotting and the van :( stupid winter!
@misshelen86  so sorry to hear about the temp drop - but it’s not over till it’s over! FX for you ❤️

  • @nomangos23 No I'm not doing any manual temping but the skin vs. internal difference makes a lot of sense. Thanks! And the story about YH is too funny. Can you even imagine how great it would be to ONLY have to think about vitamins?!?

@dogmomma096 Yes, I am starting in the middle of the cycle. Somehow I missed that you're not supposed to, thanks for letting me know! I guess I'll just keep going now that I'm in it but won't expect accuracy for a few months. Thanks for the normal temp range for skin, I couldn't seem to find that anywhere! I hope Ava gets more and more accurate for you soon!

@lillywonderland Yes, I have. In fact, March is already an extension of our original plan. He wanted to be done a long time ago. I think all of the pressure of me wanting this so badly is starting to cause some new DE issues that are clearly working against us. So I'm having a hard time navigating when to be honest and transparent with my feelings (which he is ALWAYS open to) and when it would just be added pressure for him to hear it. However, just because I'm crazy, and even though this makes no actual sense I asked him if we could push just *one* month more since it looks like I should O twice in April... so technically it's a two-for-one?? Lol, I know it probably just makes it sound worse, not better, but he said he'll think about it. We'll see!

And thank you to everyone else who expressed support, between that and eating my feelings yesterday it worked! I'm feeling much better today :)
