@mrskoz428 I'm reading the Duff and I'm only to chapter 4, but it's already no where near being similar to the movie. Wow. It's so different I'm not even really comparing it to the movie AT ALL which is new for me. I'm usually like "oh, that's the same, that's the same, they changed that and that" and this time they just changed everything 😂 it's crazy. But it's got me hooked. I won't be surprised if I finish this tonight.

  • Has anyone watched the Guest Book on TBS? I didn't watch the first season but I have started watching the second season and it is so weird but also entertaining.

  • I started the Netflix Sabrina remake and I'm like 😳 this is not the Sabrina I know, ha!

  • @eatinwatermelonseeds did you finish the book!?!? 😊

  • @DuchessOfCambridge I can't even finish it. It is so awful if you're a big sabrina fan. I wish they hadn't used the name. It's basically the only similarity really.

@mrskoz428 almost! It's so different from the movie!!! I feel like they were just like "hm.. I think we'll take this acronym.... And hmm.... The names... That's good. Leave everything else." I took a couple breaks, I'm not this slow of a reader 😂
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds exactly! 😂😂 It took me a few days to read just because I only read it before bed.

  • My favorite podcast right now is called The Dream.  It’s about MLMs, which have always fascinated me (we don’t really have them where I live so except for the occasional childhood friend into Beachbody on Facebook I don’t have any firsthand experience).  I guess if you’re in one you might find it offensive or disagree.

Im not reading anything right now because I have no attention span and even though I spend an hour+ commuting on public transportation everyday, I just do the crossword on my phone.  Not proud of that...
  • @mrskoz428 OMG THAT WAS SO GOOD. I'm actually mad they changed the movie SO much. I love seeing books made into movies and following closely. These weren't even remotely related. I love the movie, but definitely on its own. I can't even associate the two lol. Now I need to find a new book to read. I have a series I was reading but I've read it twice and I think I just want a one off book. Or maybe even a short series I've never read. I don't know.
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds yep, that’s exactly how I feel! I love anything by Jodi Picoult for adult fiction, if you need something new. House Rules was very good. So is The Pact.

  • Books are always way better than the movies!!! It's impossible to really capture everything that happens in a book. I love the book Warm Bodies but the movie adaptation wasn't great. The book made me *feel* things, and that's what I treasure most in books. If I can put a book down and feel heartbroken, afraid, elated, warm/fuzzy, or drained then it was a damn good story. Yes, even the negative emotions are good for me. I think that's why I dislike literary fiction so much. The stories never make me feel, because they're not intended to do that. Okay, they make me feel dissatisfied so I guess that's something? Lol
  • @wishiwaspreggo that's a book too??? Okay, I need to read that.

@mrskoz428 read the Pact years ago, it was so good!
  • @eatinwatermelonseeds - It's an amazing book. Equal parts romance, horror, and action. Plus you really feel the emotions R experiences as he falls in love with Julie and you feel her conflicting emotions as she falls in love with a zombie. It made me think about what it means to be human. At its core it really is a silly love story but at the same time the author captures and translates emotions so well. I just looked it up again and see he wrote two follow-up books! Hooray for adding more to my TBR list!
  • @DuchessOfCambridge I've been wanting to watch sabrina but maybe I'll just watch reruns of the funny one lol.

I am currently watching Outlander as it just came back last week! I'm reading book 5 of the Outlander series but kind of stuck on it. I love them but these books are long and descriptive AF.

  • @ElleJDubs it's spooky! I wouldn't call it scary though

  • I’ve been listening to my regular podcast favorites, My Favorite Murder, Last Podcast on the Left, and Sword and Scale. I’m a huge true crime creep
  • Currently watching Making a Murderer Season 2 (frankly, this has been a bit of a snoozefest and I'm halfway done) and H and I are watching Man in the High Castle on Amazon Prime.

I loveee podcasts and I'm currently listening to Serial Season 3 and finishing Gladiator:The Aaron Hernandez Story.  I need some new podcast material -- anyone have any suggestions? I've done Serial, Dirty John, Up & Vanished, S-Town, Dr. Death, and Accused already. Clearly, a true crime bent but I don't care for My Favorite Murder.  @elliebo How do you like Sword & Scale?
