I'm drinking sparkling water as per usual, and this flavor is "vanilla zen". Actually it tastes like yogurt and I need a different one, EW. On the bright side, I'm drinking water.
I filled my 30 oz cup up this morning with water, ice, lemon & mint. Using a straw is making it a lot easier for me, and it stays ice cold in my cup. I'm almost due for a refill!
@sleepy33 Lol that totally drives me nuts. SIL gave water bottles as a gift for her bachelorette party so I looked it up online (2 1/2 years later, finally) to figure out how many ounces it is. I've been thinking people who are drinking 8oz glasses of water are drinking out of very tiny cups.
I've been having a rough time meeting my fluids requirement my stupid throat has been sore for weeks so swallowing *anything* is painful. I try to chug when I can just to get it down but it makes me cough, which makes my throat feel worse. If I mix water with juice that helps. But ugh, it's hard to drink that much. Gonna go fill my bottle now and try to force another 32 ounces down.
@melbee81 I'm in the same boat. Was rocking it with cold water, seltzer and unsweetened cranberry juice, but then the horrible nausea hit and I've been drinking vitamin water or sports drinks (so much sugar!) Thanks for starting this board @DuchessOfCambridge!
I found a great vaccuum insulated 40oz.water bottle (brand is fiftyfifty. Just like a yeti, but 1/2 the price) and it's great keeping water cold. Nice wide mouth and a great carry handle on top. Totally lucked out at TJ Maxx one day.
I've been failing hardcore at this. I've been trying! I manage to drink most of my 24oz bubba every day, and then I can get a glass or two of milk or water at dinner, and I often have a fizzy (uncarbonated but sugar loaded) drink in the evening so... I get maaaaybe 52oz. I have no idea how I'm going to add in another 30oz at a minimum...

@thebobloblaw that's why I've stayed away from the sugar-free Gatorade. Vitamin water zero uses stevia, so I have been having them but am trying to be so careful to not drink too much regular powerade or Gatorade. I'm so worried it's going to contribute to gestational diabetes! Some days though, it's almost the only thing I can keep down.
I've also seen on webmd that say that coffee and tea do count to water intake. Although they are diaretics (sp?), the water you take in is much more than the extra that you lose. https://www.webmd.com/parenting/features/healthy-beverages *edited to add link
@knarlytaurus yeah, I've been thinking about that too. I drank a 695 ml can of green tea this morning, which has caffeine (but only 22mg! and a sh*%-ton of sugar) plus my 24oz water bottle of water and I am so hydrated, it feels like I'm going to the bathroom every 20 minutes.
Also, what about fruit? I just ate 2 oranges, which are full of water. But no way to count it. I feel like I need to adjust the challenge for myself to be like... 50oz of JUST water, and allow my usual diet to account for the rest.

@knarlytaurus mio did make one with stevia at one point, but I can no longer find it in any stores around me 😭. If it is just electrolytes you’re looking for, they do make drops you can add to water but it’s flavor free. Or maybe the true lemon products are an option, but I’ve done no research on them!
Ugh I really needed this too! I was doing really well the first dew few weeks but I've fallen way off the wagon lately. I need to go find my 32 oz water bottle that I've left somewhere in the house and wash it and take it to work tomorrow.
Ps, @keighty80 absolutely genius idea with the lemon ice cubes! Our freezer has an icemaker so I think I checked my trays when we moved. I'll have to buy one with lottle cubes. I wonder if I could freeze lemon juice, mint, or cucumber into cubes and toss some in my bottle in the morning. I used to steal diced cucumbers from the salad station when I worked at a restaurant right out of college and pop them in my water. Best water I've ever had.
I drink lots of water but have an addiction to soda. I stopped drinking pepsi when I found out I was pregnant. Now I drink one bottle sprite a day. What do you all use as a replacement if you have a soda addiction??
@truth_trust That has been really hard for me, as well. Some sparkling waters are really good, if you can find one you really like. I used to have 1-2 sodas a day and completely quite when I found out I was pregnant. I do have a few sips if DH gets one or if we hit a drive thru, I might get a small one for me, but that’s rare. Sparkling flavored water has really been the only thing close for me, but it’s still not the same. I had some Pepsi today and it was glorious.
Doing well so far today, about 70oz down!! Personally I've been shooting for about 90oz per day, since it's recommended we drink 80oz - 100oz a day.
I LOVE sparkling water, and have a Sodastream that I use religiously. Unfortunately the carbonation has been awful for my bloating though, so I've been having to stick with boring flat water. 😖 That's made it quite a bit harder for me. Adding ice and lemon has helped a lot, but the struggle is real!!
@knarlytaurus yes, I have taken a nutrition class before and they count coffee and tea as a water count but for the purposes of this challenge I was excluding anything with caffeine. But I mean, no one has to listen to me lol, do what you want. I'm being a sort of purist about it but if you want to count coffee and water from fruit, go for it 🤷
@truth_trust try lime seltzer, it's a bit soda-ish
BTW, artificial sweeteners freak me out but sucralose is safe for pregnancy. I did some research a while ago, just in case anyone is curious. I don't like the taste of it though, so I still stay away
Re: Water Challenge w/o 11/4
Keep on chugging! I’m getting my morning caffeine fix and will be drinking water the rest of the day! 💦
