How many kids do you already have? Ages? DS (I guess technically DS1 now!), 3.5
How are your other kids doing this week? Pretty good. My parents gave him a baby doll for big brother practice and he is 90% really sweet with her and 10% needs improvement "Mom I poked the baby in the eyes and I said sorry." OK, start with just not poking a baby in the eyes?
DH and him are also really battling about food this week and it's killing me. I hate how DH makes dinner time a battle. Toddlers are picky and not great at sitting down for 30 minutes straight to focus on food. Don't let this be the hill you die on.

How are your other kids doing this week? This morning was so tough. They actually brought me to tears and I yelled far more than I wanted to and immediately regretted it. They just weren't listening, whining and moving so slow. I do pick up and drop off alone and I'm just getting tired.
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? Seeing my doc tomorrow thank goodness. Going to bring up those super painful cramps from last week. I think I just got so big so fast that my poor body hasn't had time to adjust.

How are your other kids doing this week? She's good. She had a virus last Thursday and Friday but is back to her normal self.
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? Rant that I couldn't sleep last night. I'm exhausted and just want to take a nap today. DH is home after he got the same virus yesterday so I'm jealous of him sleeping.
GTKY: If you're in the US, did you vote? If you're out of the US, share a fun fact! I tried to but I got over heated and light headed, almost passed out. So I left so I wouldn't. I'm going to try to go again after work. I want to vote but I have to take care of myself too. I should've done the early voting.
How many kids do you already have? DD-4 years old
How are your other kids doing this week? Temperamental. I think the time change is really messing with her. Also we just figured out a bedtime issue, she won't go in and go to bed unless i go with her. We tried moving her bedtime up and ran into this, still figuring out how to fix it. Before she was just going to bed when i go to bed but that habit needs to be broken and she needs more sleep.
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? Still so damn tired. I think i might try doubling my iron and see if that helps. I was anemic last time and the doc hasn't said anything so far about it this time around, but i'm going to ask at my appointment tomorrow.

@mermaidca I feel like each night at bedtime I'm yelling recently. I do pick-ups and drop offs 90% of the time and DH doesn't understand why I'm so serious about GO TO BED. Dude if you had to be the one getting him up at 6:15 you might be pissier at bedtime too.
@thatbaintforbetty DS would only go to sleep with one of us in there for a long time. It wasn't a quick fix but it's definitely worth it. Now we go in, read a couple books with dimmed lights, and we can (usually) leave. Now we just need to keep IN the room once we leave again

How are your other kids doing this week? Pretty good we are starting to get excited for the holidays. Just ordered some holiday LEGO sets to build together as a family. So excited to start new family traditions!

I feel like I should "savor" this pregnancy more since it will be my last, but honestly I am not really enjoying any part of it right now. Hopefully when I can start to feel LO move it will become more real and special. Right now it just feels like something to endure.

Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? Tomorrow we are getting an ultrasound at one of those places to find out the gender! OB appt yesterday and I am thinking I don't like her. She is VERY thorough but every time I go there is something. Yesterday apparently they saw something on my NT ultrasound that could just be scar tissue (makes sense since I had a D&C) or could be a super scary thing thats really rare so we will do more tests.

DS seems to regressed a little in potty training. He will only potty at home and as long as he is naked. It’s super frustrating because DH isn’t being very helpful and DS is sooo stuburn

Yes! Our precinct is right next to DDs school so I went after drop off. I thought my 5-10min wait was long(usually I don’t wait at all). Then I hear about people waiting 30min to an hour plus! Makes me glad I don’t live in a big city

How are your other kids doing this week? His temper tantrums and ridiculous behavior have been a bit better so far this week. Trying to get him back on a normal bedtime since daylight savings and our crazy lives pushed it back.
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? I think it's officially time to get my kid to stop jumping and launching himself onto my belly, but I have no idea how to do so without him feeling rejected due to the baby. Any suggestions?

@kangstadt can you just tell him it hurts you? You don't have to mention it hurting the baby. I just try to catch DD before she does something like that (she's almost 2.5) and tell her it hurts if she does that.
How many kids do you already have? N (DD), 9 months
How are your other kids doing this week? N has been in day care since the day after Labor Day - she loves it, but she is not in a nap groove there. At home, she sleeps 11 hours at night and 6-8 hours (obviously not consecutively) in naps throughout the day. At day care, we're lucky if we get an hour and a half out of her. She comes home exhausted and so cranky, and it kills the little quality time we have at home with her in the week. It's just so frustrating, and I feel so bad for her.
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? See above for rant. Rave: I've been feeling this little woman kick all the time, and it is very wonderful. It's starting to make the fact that we'll have two kids soon feel very real!

Pretty well. Daylight savings has her all messed up, but it’s not been affecting her mood too much.
Quesfions? Any book recommendations for a LO under 2 that explain having a baby brother or sister? She’ll be two when baby is born.
GTKY: yep! DD did a good job being patient, and got a “sticky” as a reward. Which ended up on the bottom of my sock. Lol.

@thatbaintforbetty, I got Babies Don't Eat Pizza for my son! It's geared more towards older kids, but I love that it uses accurate terminology (uterus, nursing, umbilical cord), and is focused on the positive of becoming a big brother/sister. It even touches on how the big brother/sister might feel left out, or want to be a baby again, but that's okay.
Everyone does naps differently but at 9 months, my DD was taking an hour nap in the morning and an hour and a half nap in the afternoon. 6-8 hours of naps is a lot for a 9 month old. It sounds like she needs one extra nap at daycare, can you talk to them about putting her down in the morning around 9?

Since the time change, we’ve been having a MOTN wake up at 4am. It’s draining and not getting better. The last 2 nights she asked for milk. She’s been night weaned for quite a while, so it’s odd but makes me nervous she is hungry.

So we realized it would be better to change DD’s room to the bigger room on the other side of the house. However, I’m realizing how much work it will be to re do her room and do a new room. It’s all stressing me out. When does nesting kick in?! I need it ASAP. Haha

Voted, with DD in tow! Then left DD in the car and passed it off to DH so he could vote with her too. They were out of stickers by 11 am at my polling place, and my mother’s polling place had 73% turnout 😲
anyway, MIL told me that night that a friend had not been able to vote and I immediately started texting about provisional ballots and same day registration and reporting being turned away from the polls and getting to Town Hall NOW to cast a ballot. Poll worker training kicked in HARD, guys.

How are your other kids doing this week? Pretty awesome. She had swimming yesterday with daddy (I was feeling too crappy to go last night so it was a day for just the two of them). I get to spend some mommy/daughter time tonight so that'll be fun, especially since the weekend is starting and we have nothing planned
Rants/Raves? Concerns/Questions? Rant would be that I am having pains in my left side of the belly, I know it's probably RLP but it's been going on for two days and not really getting better. If it continues I'll bring it up at my appointment next week. Rave would be my weekend off for sure, I'm looking forward to relaxing, stopping at the craft store, and hopefully getting the house cleaned.

Ack! It sounds like I'm not the only one being driven crazy by my kid. She's getting 4 teeth at once, she outgrew her shoes but I didn't realize so she was being fussy on every walk, she decided she only wants to eat grown up food, and preferably on my lap and off my plate. She also misses Daddy and thinks he lives in my phone. On video chats she will look behind the phone to try and find him.

I'm at last in the final stretch of DH's 5 week overseas trip. I would never make it as a single mom. I can barely work part time as a substitute teacher and come home to my energetic DD without collapsing on the floor. I hate soup now since I've eaten it for 4 weeks straight!
