Re: Symptoms 10/28-11/4

  • @rache1990 I wish we both had our energy back, where is the 2nd tri energy? Where? At least I'm not sleeping 13 hours a day anymore, but still.

  • Anyone have/have had hemorrhoids? I’m already getting them and they’re so annoying. Can I use preparation h? Or is there a better home remedy?
  • @lilpotatomama Um, I've had mild hemorrhoids off and on for years, ever since I worked my first office job and sat on my butt all day. Kind of scared for post delivery. I use wet tp instead of dry (the super soft stuff that clogs the pipes too) or try to use just water to wash if possible. And I also use witch hazel every time. You can buy wipes, but I use the liquid witch hazel (best is alcohol free so it doesn't burn) on some tp. Don't know about prep H during pregnancy, but would love to know since I know mine will flare up again soon.

  • @lilpotatomama I had hemorrhoids so bad after my first pregnancy, my doc wrote out a prescription for me for extra strength cream. This didn’t help nearly as much as witch hazel wipes and laying on my side with a ice pack on my ass lol
  • @lilpotatomama yes you can use preparation H. If they get bad roll up a wash cloth and sit on it while you take a concentrated Epsom salt bath. I also recommend cold compresses to the area, it’s easy to soak a cotton wool pad in witch hazel and freeze and apply or take some ice cubes into the bath with you and roll ice into a wash cloth and apply. Also use wipes or wash to get clean and comfortable after you go, go right ahead and use your peribottle now lol. Wishing everyone one a happy comfortable bottom! Lol!
  • @lilpotatomama yes! 😭 I didn’t have any until literally week 38 with DD, and of course awful ones postpartum that seemed like they’d never go away. But here they are coming back already at only 15w. So bummed.
  • I bought a 3 pack of peri bottles on Amazon. Between the hemorrhoids and all the vaginal soreness/sensitivity it’s the best thing ever. And I upped my daily intake of stool softeners to help combat the hemorrhoids. Also I agree on some flushable wipes and witch hazel pads.

  • I have next to zero mental energy and have been so incredibly forgetful. Pregnancy brain is no joke.
  • Honestly, partly posting to see what my ticker looks like at week 15.  15 weeks!  This is going by fast.  Also, I forgot what discharge is like when pregnant with a boy.  Gross.  I'd almost be ok with it if my hair was as pretty as it was last time I was pregnant with a boy. J/s

DS1 is 7.  DD is 1.  DS2 is coming in late April.

I can't see your ticker. Or is my pregnancy brain getting to me?
  • @mrstmoose try looking on the computer
  • Thanks to everyone for the tips. Yet another weird symptom I didn’t expect and wasn’t prepared for 😑 I got witch hazel and arnica gel, testing them both out today.
  • For the ladies that are dealing with hemorrhoids already - consider investing in a bidet for your home! I have the one you install directly on the toilet, under the seat, and it hooks up directly to the water line on the toilet. Best thing ever! Much better than flushable wipes (for your septic and the environment) and you end up using so much less paper.

I'm also dealing with them and it's helped so much!

  • @sheknows6 and much more convenient than stripping from the waist down to get in the tub every time!

@sheknows6 I want one but i feel like it's something else my kid would want to mess with in the bathroom and we'd end up with a giant mess all the time. Also i don't know that i'd want to reinstall every time i moved, but that could depend on on hard it was.

Maybe one of these days when i have more then 1 bathroom. And own a place. <Hahaha yea like that will ever happen

  • @thatbaintforbetty it's surprisingly simple to install if you get the same kind I did (the one that installs on your toilet) - I think it took me five minutes per bathroom and all I needed was a screwdriver. It screws on to the toilet through the same holes that holds the seat down and then the water line screws on.

Can't solve for the kiddos tho lol :D
