Hahaha @ladystout. Nope, totally Christmas season now. To be fair, I'm in Canada so there are no more holidays between now and Christmas (since we have our Thanksgiving in October), so it's Christmas full steam ahead. I try not to be too flashy until after Remembrance Day (Nov 11th like your Veterans Day), but I'm all about Christmas as soon as November 1st hits (Edit to fix autocorrect)
I bought a pair of compression socks this morning that will hopefully help the stupid amount of swelling in my legs, feet, and "ankles" (if I can even call them that anymore). Hopefully they help because I can not do 8-10 more weeks of the swelling - it's sooooo uncomfortable!
I'm also getting that gross taste back in my mouth like I had in 1st tri and a resurgence of some nausea. Fun times.

I just mentioned you in weekly randoms Tosh. Lol. I think it's funny this is the next thread I opened.
I'm tired today. But I think that's more about the time of year than my current 7 months pregnant self. I did feel two strange tearing pulls on my stomach. Once last night and once this morning. I don't really get stretch marks and I'm not that big and have definitely been bigger with my others so I'm a little concerned it was something to do with my hernia repair. I'm not in pain or anything but I'm worried. So I will be talking about it tomorrow when I go in for my appointment. Other than that I'm just turtling in bed and otherwise I'm okay for now. BH are more frequent when I'm at the store or walking too much though. I'm hoping those don't turn into something more.
Anyone else dealing with the fun of sinus infections because of all the wonderful random swelling that occurs? I say this as I'm sitting in urget care to get some meds so I'm not a complete bitch from being sick on top of majorly pregnant...
Christmas season!! last night after getting back from trick-or-treating with DD I sat down exhausted, looked at our fully decorated house (for Christmas) and said, "I'm no longer decorated early! Our house is now socially acceptable now that Halloween is over."
I've had lingering cold symptoms (light cough, scratchy throat at random times, sometimes nasally) for the last 1.5weeks. It's not progressing, and not really getting better. OB yesterday said this can be normal, especially just after getting the flu shot. Awesome.
Heart burn is horrible. I'm getting constipation pains occasionally, even though I'm not that constipated. And....…….the itching has begun. This is the same time last pregnancy when I started getting all over itching, and it's begun. it's still in the early phase, but I had to use cortisone cream yesterday and today I took a Zyrtec. I really hope the itching does not become as bad as it was last time (and they tested for cholestasis and I didn't have it) as I was miserable. there's nothing like being itchy and there's nothing that takes it away completely. I know some of you know what I'm talking about!
Over the last 2 weeks i've definitely noticed a change for the worse with symptoms. Im much more constipated, i'm sneezing a lot and just generally congested at times, my sleep has been horrible. The most bothersome symptom is inner thigh/ hip pain that almost has me waddling instead of walking for comfort sake. Is this normal? The body way of preparing for birth? I feel like I need to do butterfly stretches constantly but that doesn't seem to help much
+1 to hip pain. I'm so tired - the hip pain wakes me up constantly at night. I read about some sleeping positions that help, but I still spend a lot of time rolling around. I think the RL also contribute to the discomfort if my belly isn't supported at night. Good times. Other than that... It is what it is.
I think it’s a shorter list of what I DON’T have. The worst symptom I have is heartburn. If I forget to take my Zantac I’m miserable. I had heartburn with DS but not this bad.
Generally feel run down. Not sure if it’s bc of the flu shot, tdap, weather, being pregnant or all of the above. Also extremely exhausted, like first tri exhausted.
+1 to hip pain and being tired. Especially at night and to walking being effected. Also to feeling like a turtle 🐢 while in bed.
+1 to constipation. Ugh. I just want to poop regularly
Not enjoying that I always have to pee. Usually as soon as I get comfortable
+1 to ridiculous swelling. @tosh24 I’d love to hear if the compression socks help!
And yay christmas!!! I’ll happily celebrate thanksgiving and Veterans Day with my Christmas stuff up in the background.
My back and hips hurt and my sinuses feel constantly congested. Add in headaches that refuse to go away and being tired all the time and I’m a real peach to be around.
I’m also really frustrated with my diet for GD. No matter how meticulously I plan out my carbs and protein, I’m always starving and grumpy. I even followed the sample menu from the dietitian and it didn’t help. My numbers are great, but I’m really annoyed and tired of the whole thing.

Lots and lots of yep here. Especially the exhaustion coming back. Booo! And the heartburn. Twice a day Zantac and I still need a few Tums here and there. And oh, by the way, I’m pretty sure the Tums doesn’t help my constipation.

Tonight marks the history of the most frequent pee trips. Usually it’s maybe every two hours. It’s every 20 mins and I am so miserable. Baby is head down kicking me on my right side constantly. I hate the feeling of not completely empty after I just peed. I am so not going to miss this part of pregnancy. I never had to pee this much w DD!!! It started first tri and never went away. So annoyed rt now as I just want to sleep!

Yes! Sometimes I'll walk from the restroom to my office and not even bother sitting down before I have to go back. It's so frustrating!
@tosh24@DLpanda08 I've been wearing compression socks for a few weeks now and they help SO Much. By the end of the day I have indentations from them but I'm afraid what my feet would look like if I didn't wear them.
@wnn1992 my nipples are dry and ITCHY and larger than life. I don't know how this poor child is going to be able to fit her mouth around these salami nips. Catch me with my hand down my shirt in my office 3x a day moisturizing them so I don't fixate on itching all day erry day. SNS
Y'all my hiiiiiiiiiiiiips. They hurt so bad. We finally reigned in my acid reflux and anemia as long as I don't miss a dose. So my hips and the carpal tunnel are my chief complaints. I now have to wear a brace all day and the compression ones at night. Also if I don't wear my compression socks my feet swell up like balloons.
The pee breaks have been awful for me too @AliKay20 & @AshVA. I have a 45 minute commute to and from work and I can't even grocery shop after work anymore. It's just too long to go without a bathroom. It's awful. I barely feel like I can make it home.
I was getting awful lower back pain and some sciatic pain... Then I read this thing about avoiding flat shoes ( the only kind of shoes I wear) and that shoes with a low heel are great for helping pregnant women counter balance their weight. Soooo today I tried a low heel shoe, and whaddya know... My back hardly hurts at all.
@bradleysmommy28 ugh I’m so sorry, hope they can give you some antibiotics to clear that infection up. Those are the worst. My sinuses have also been consistently swollen, but my nose is runny pretty much all the time (I literally hoard tissues and have them wherever I go)- super annoying, but it’s probably prevented an infection?
I’m getting suuuupeer sexy symptoms on the “ends”- hemorrhoids (WHY.) and sort of feeing like I need to belch or throw up after a meal unless I sit perfectly upright. It’s super gross and sometimes I like burp and throw up in my mouth a little bit. Minimal constipation and no heartburn though, so, positives I guess?
Also I’m 30 weeks now and just starting to get that large whale/ general fat pregnant lady feeling. Tying my shoes and rolling out of bed sucks. Sleeping is a challenge. Despite this, still thankful for the general good heath and decent energy levels.
I’ve been feeling a lot of soreness and almost pressure(?) in my lower pelvis. I have been having regular bowel movements, but it feels a lot like constipation/gas? I’m not sure how to describe it. When I stand up it feels like everything is going to fall out. I’ve also been feeling a lot more pain rolling over now, and what feels like BH contractions when I roll or stand up at night. I’ve also had a busier last couple days because my best friend is getting married today and I’m the matron of honor, so I’m hoping it’s just that and when I get home it will all feel better. I’ve been having nightmares of having a premature baby while I’m 6 hours from home. I just want to get home and feel normal.
@sushilove15@AshVA that’s completely my sleep issue as well! Either a hip, leg or foot will go numb and I’ll just flip flop all night long trying to make it better. Nights are hard.
@mrsmang congrats to your friend! I completely understand wanting to get back to normal though. My midwife recently fussed at me for overdoing it causing extra discomfort, so you’re probably right that you’re busy weekend is causing some of you’re discomfort. When it’s all over take some time to rest and take care of yourself!

This also sums up my nights! I just want to sleep on my back!!!!
Is lack of general motivation a symptom? I definitely have it. I'm motivated to do baby things...but that's basically it. Not motivated to clean or work or whatever...just want to organize his things and put his room together.
@AshVA@kmos816@merostomata nights are tough! I so wish I could sleep on my stomach or back. At least we are in it together?! Lol
@sweetyjenj I’m going to go ahead and say yes that is totally a symptom! And I’m right there with you!! The days at work are so long! And the dishes are not getting taken care of.
Anyone else dealing with an almost constant tightness and soreness in their stomach? It isn't BH because it starts around midday and never lets up until I get up the next morning. I have had BH as well but those are nothing like the constant uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. I haven't been this far in a pregnancy since my first son 15 years ago so I sometimes feel like it is my first time doing this. I don't remember pregnancy being so tough at 21 years old as it is at 36.

Some days I feel like this but not every day; and have just thought my uterus is growing or my body telling me to rest.
This pregnancy is definitely tougher on my body than my first 5 years ago; I’m 34 now.

I started having (and still have) this feeling at about 24 weeks... I thought it was pelvic floor weakness, but nope.. vulvar varicose veins.. huge ones. I thought my one hemorrhoid was bad, it's NOTHING compared to this. I made the mistake of using a mirror to shave down there the other day and wanted to cry.
@Mandamay1414 oh goodness! Definitely not going to look with a mirror, but will ask at my next appointment. It seems to have gotten a lot better, but worth an ask just to see.
@mistym1211 I get something similar once in a while and it'll last for hours, and if I press on my belly a little it hurts more. I've come to realize it's constipation. Maybe it's that way for you, too?
I thought I needed to have a BM but when I stood up I let out a HUGE fart! I continued to let out smaller farts as I walked down the hallway. It was hilarious.
Extreme back pain, sharp cramping, and pelvic pressure this weekend. Ob sent me to L&D for monitoring and all was well. No regular contraction LOs HR was good and blood pressure was good. Was sent home after an hour of monitoring but still in a lot of pain this morning. I have an appointment Thursday. Wondering if I should call and bump it up.
UPDATE: I called and rescheduled my Ob appointment to today at 2! Hopefully theyll have a reason for all of this pain.
The exhaustion/fatigue is kicking along with general lack of motivation and increased irritability..... fun times.
Not sure its all pregnancy or weather inducing......I was slacking on taking my extra Vitamin D & iron supplements last week and need to start taking them again.
For those of you who are getting Braxton Hicks contractions, how often each day do you get them?
I get them a bunch throughout the day. I'm drinking more water and walk around periodically but from time to time, at least once an hour, my belly hardens for about 30 seconds. They're not progressing in intensity and I have no reason to believe it's pre-term labor. I spoke to a midwife about them last week and she says they're totally normal-sounding. It just feels like this kid is trying to bust out of my stomach through my belly button!
