@ohsunnydays- Maybe you'll have a boy like my DS who is fully obsessed with having a ponytail, demands them regularly, and since his hair is short often basically walks around with a spike sticking off the top of his head!

And ditto to the baby bows, it’s definitely one of the reasons I’m glad I’m having a boy, but everyone is free to style their baby as they like!
I actually really like the maternity and newborn photos we will be doing both. I actually picked a fancy dress with a flowy skirt that hides all the weight I've put onto my hips rofl.
My UO is that I hate fancy photos of people's pets. I'm sorry I love my cat to death but you're not getting a Christmas card of her in an elf outfit. And I don't need one of yours...
@sjnsjnsjn we had family pics taken last thanksgiving by the same photographer who did our wedding. She did a few posed ones, but the vast majority just captured us together interacting as a family. I absolutely treasure those pics because we’re just outside hanging out together laughing and playing on a playground. I think we’ll plan to get pics taken every other thanksgiving - this baby will be the same age at thanksgiving 2019 as DS was at thanksgiving 2017, so it’ll be fun to compare pics of them at the exact same age.
@BourbonBiscuits- Those sound great. I have a good friend who is a photographer as her side gig. She did a mix of candid and posed for us last year at this time, which we love (and then used for holiday cards, natch). Literally last night we were discussing whether to get them this fall again or wait until the LO is here and do the family pics then, and LO- who I rarely feel very dramatically-kicked me SO HARD I yelped. I guess waiting til he arrives it is! Haha
