So....ya’ll are saying I can’t post a nub shot and ask for guesses? Damn..

I’m kidding. We are doing genetic testing at 10 weeks. So I won’t need to. This time.. 😜
  • @emeraldcity603 Ugh, I was so frustrated for you as I read your posts! Being pregnant is no walk in the park, and it sounds like he is not helping at all. I'm sorry to hear that you aren't getting the support you been and deserve!

Agreed 💯% about the drive by posts. When I was pregnant with DS, I lurked on all the sites, but never participated (didn't actually notice the community on TB!) in the others because they all seemed like an endless parade of pictures of positive tests and requests to Ramzi ultrasounds. I am so happy this community is not like that, and am really grateful to those of you who are graciously explaining that to people who didn't read the stickied posts!

Maybe we should preemptively make a stickied post for Ramzi/nub theory, where they can post to their hearts' content without cluttering the board for the rest of us!

@luckystar28 I agree. I really don’t care for the snark. Besides when you’re eloquent and considerate it usually stops them in their tracks. You can’t feed the trolls ;)
But then, it is entertaining lol.
  • @junebabyh that's great!! Was she the one who was having trouble? I remember someone had mentioned a sister struggling.
  • @prpl11butterfly Yep! She's been trying since January! She cried when I told her I was KU (completely understandable), as mine was a little unexpected. Just so so so happy for her.

@junebabyh Awww yay congrats!!! My sister in law is 4 months pregnant, it’s so nice to have a preggo buddy especially since I’m a first timer. Congrats to you both!!
  • I think we are going to try to hit up the pumpkin patch today.  We have finally had two days of no rain so hopefully it's not crazy muddy.  And it's the last day of our state fair and I'm sad I didn't get to go this year.  My mom and I usually go every year and it just didn't work out this year.
  • @JuneBabyH thats great news! And the cousins will be so close in age.
  • @KissMeImScottish I feel your pain. I got back into running a few months ago and started losing some much needed weight. I've still been running, but I get so winded and the first mile is torture. I'm not sure how long I'll be able to keep it up and it really bums me out knowing I'm going to gain all the weight back.
  • @KissMeImScottish good for you for losing 40lbs!! That is quite an accomplishment. Does weight watchers have a modification for when you’re pregnant?
  • @KissMeImScottish I am sure that the official WW doesn't have something built in for pregnancy, but you might be able to search to find people's blogs or something detailing how they have done it. When I was big into counting calories there were people that I followed that made modifications in myfitnesspal to help them during pregnancy!
  • @KissMeImScottish just think how much further you are ahead than if you hadn't lost the weight. PLUS you know what will work for you once this baby comes. But I get it. I've been so much heavier than I want to be for about 3 years. Its really frustrating how hard it is to break bad habits. I lost weight my first tri with DD and I'm mentally counting on some of that, but if I continue being as hungry as I have been this week, then I'm really in for it.
@emeraldcity603 I'm so glad that your H woke up with a new perspective. I was feeling really bad about your situation and I hope things get better! Maybe try writing out some process guides for him if he works that way vs just verbal?
  • @KissMeImScottish that's great that you lost the weight though!  I gained about 50 lbs with both pregnancies so really trying to not do that this time. Since my last pregnancy ended 7 months ago, I was still up about 15-20 lbs so am alrrady starting out heavier this time.
  • I'm starting out 10 lbs heavier this time around too. The weight just wouldn't budge this time. I usually hold onto weight while I EBF and then drop a ton once I introduce solids. My body decided it still needed those 10 lbs. Although, this past month my body started looking more firm and in shape due to my consistent exercise. Lol, of course it starts happening as soon as I get pregnant again. Anyways, I'm looking to gain no more than 25 lbs this pregnancy. I want a healthy baby but also stay at a healthy weight while doing that.
  • I’m debating on calling my doctor tomorrow. I am pretty sure I now have a raging sinus infection. I’m not even sure they can do a whole lot for me. But I have less than an hour left of work and I am miserable. I’m maxed out on Tylenol and I think I’m going to cave and take an ibuprofen tonight just so I can get some sleep.

  • @meatballs37 they can give you antibiotics. Isn't that the only way to get rid of a sinus infection? I hope you feel better soon.
  • @meatballs37 The last time I had a viral sinus infection, my doctor told me to get flonase and a neti pot. You probably can't use flonase, but if you can pick up a neti pot at a drug store tonight, it would start clearing all the crap out.
  • FFSC: I’ve never used a neti pot. I didn’t even know what they were until a couple years ago!

@luckystar28 The whole concept is weird, but it really goes the trick. As long as you use the saline. I made the mistake of using tap water once. It was not pleasant  :s

  • @KissMeImScottish Totally late to this convo, but first off big kudos on losing 40 lbs! I'm in a similar boat - I've lost just shy of 20 lbs this year. When I told my trainer I was pregnant, I mentioned similar concerns of basically losing all of my progress this year. She told me that because I started this weight now, it would be easier to get back down after the baby comes. Who knows if thats true, but it did make me feel better. I do plan on continue working out (with appropriate modifications) throughout my pregnancy.

@marijaa333 I second a nutrition or health related check in

My Dr said flonase is fine to use in pregnancy. I get nasty ear infections if I don't use it at change of season. Also I got all sorts of infections during my last pregnancy and was pretty much always on antibiotics. Call your Dr @meatballs37 hopefully they can help you soon .you've felt like crap for a long time .
  • I used flonase my entire last pregnancy and DS is fine. (shruggs shoulders). My doctor also Ok'd it too for pregnancy.

@JuneBabyH that's awesome your sister is pregnant too! It will be so nice for both of you to have a pregnant buddy around. And awesome for your kids to be so close in age.
  • Thanks guys. I have been looking up antibiotics and pregnancy this morning. I’m so fricken miserable. I slept maybe two hours. And morning sickness is here. This is seriously the worst. Plus my toddler is still sick and she has had about five melt downs this morning. I’m about to have one myself. I’m going to head into an urgent care in my doctor doesn’t have something available. I hope they give me drugs.

  • @runyogamom and @dntstpbelieveing I'm happy to learn I can still use flonase!
  • @meatballs37 I had a sinus infection with my daughter. They ended up giving me a Z pack because I was ready to curl up and die. For me I can’t get better without some sort of antibiotics. Also I remember reading that you’re not supposed to start a Neti Pot if you already have an infection. I might be mistaken but I feel like I’ve heard it more than once. Good luck!
