  Uh, I’m with @expandcontract on this one. I’d trust my doc over anything a bunch of strangers would say.

  This is a reliable source. It explains bacterial vaginosis and the risks associated with it going untreated. It also states that the common treatment for it is metronidazole 500mg, so I find the pharmacist's recommendation a little odd. If you're still not comfortable, I suggest scholarly articles about the medication and pregnancy. A quick search myself found that there was no association with negative outcomes. But I suggest you do your own research as well.

  @ejtg22 thank you for not being another drive-by. If you still have doubts,  scholarly articles is the best way to go and maybe speak to your doctor again for reassurance.  Good luck.  That ish is nasty.

  Trust your doctor over strangers, do your research. But yes, it’s fine. I had BV three times my first pregnancy and used the gel once, no big deal.
