Re: October TWW

  • @bakerstreetboys I am so hopeful for you!!!!

@hoping4arainbow3 I totally get where you’re coming from. Sometimes those unexpected announcements can really hurt. I’m sorry you had to experience that and I hope the FB break helps.

Im just waiting for my period to hurry up and get here. We basically took this month off because of moving. I’m just eager to start tracking this month.

I feel so sorry for my SO. I always know when aunt flow is coming because everything he does starts to drive me CRAZY. Poor guy, lol.

  • I'm out this month! skipping next month I just need a break.
  • Loading the player...
  • Yayyyy!!!! @bakerstreetboys that’s exaclty what I needed to snap me out of my irrational funk that Megan Markle is pregnant at 37 after trying for a hot minute.

AFM I’m 8dpo. Negative this morning. My boobs hurt, I’ve got a metallic taste in my mouth and I’m exhausted. I assume this is just my new TWW normal now though and that I’ll be contacting my Ob to finally get some testing on Thursday :confounded:
  • @bakerstreetboys Best. News. Ever! ♡♡♡
Praying those Lil bean/s nestle right in and an uneventful 9 months! Thank you for sharing this wonderful news!
  • @bakerstreetboys amazing news! Here's to a healthy and happy pregnancy
  • Out. I tried to WFAF to test, somehow convinced myself I was pregnant on 12DPO and was bitterly disappointed when of course I wasn’t. AF is here. I feel like I’m losing my sanity with TTC
  • @obsessedwithoranges I’m so sorry  it’s the freaking worst.

Pretty sure I’m having another CP. Faint line yesterday. Faint line today and spotting. And that doesn’t end well for me historically :confounded:
  • mwmiller4  Ugh. I'm sorry. I hate when we are so used to this happening that we know what to expect. Are you having betas to track for certain?  (I also hate getting the beta number and knowing it's not good)

  • @mwmiller4 I'm sorry, that is awful. I feel like weeks 3-5 are their own special kind of hell.
  • @bakerstreetboys I am so happy for you! FX and all the good thoughts coming your way!!
  • @mwmiller4 I’m sorry.  Take care of yourself
  • @mwmiller4 I’m so sorry :(
  • @mwmiller4 ugh so sorry! It seems so cruel to get a faint line and then start spotting :(
  • @mwmiller4 so sorry. Sending hugs!!
  • Thanks, everyone. Seriously, you’re the only ones who really understand how this feels and it’s so nice to not feel totally alone for once

@dpjennifer my doc hasn’t offered betas to me—my old practice would have so I have mixed feelings about it. I’m calling the new once when my period starts to get the ball rolling on what I assume will be an appointment where I demand an appointment for a hysteroscopy and then consider transferring back to the (even) bigger hospital. I just hope I haven’t wasted 6 months for nothing...
  • @obsessedwithoranges I'm so sorry. It's such a brutal journey. Take care of yourself!

@mwmiller4 that's so unfair.  I'm so sorry. Hugs and good thoughts for you.

I hope things work out for you both soon!
  • I was doing pretty well this TWW. Patient. Probably mostly because I figured there was pretty much no chance of success this month due to failed timing.

Then got my hopes up yesterday with a bit of cramping. Hoping on the off chance it was implantation.  But this morning, of course a BFN (too early anyway, at 10 DPO, but couldn't resist) and then cramping and spotting this afternoon. Right on schedule for my 5 days of spotting before AF that I've been dealing with as part of my wonky cycle since the last MC.

So despite trying super hard to not get my hopes up, I'm disappointed. Again.

Oh well. Good luck to everyone else this month!
  • mwmiller4  I would consider seeing an RE at this stage. I know you've had at least 2 losses now, has it been 3? Oftentimes RE's want tests done THEIR way and even if you had them through an OB-GYN, could make you repeat the tests (read: expensive). So before you demand tests to your OB-GYN, consider going straight to an RE.

  • @dpjennifer I’ve had 1 MMC and 2 CPs since having a LC. Can I just go to an RE? I thought I’d need a referral from my Ob before I could get into one. Also, is there a way to research/choose? I’ve had several friends go to them but they all went to different ones and I certainly don’t want just anyone doing microsurgery on scar tissue (if I need it). Ughhhh....
  • @mwmiller4 As far as a referral goes it just depends on your insurance. If your I surance requires a referral to see a specialist then you would need one, otherwise you shouldn’t. After multiple losses I did my own research and went to a RE without a referral. I hope this helps and that you’re able to get some more answers soon!
  • mwmiller4  It depends on your insurance. I don't need referrals to specialists, so I could yes. If you need referrals to specialists, you may need to. However, since you do have 3 losses in a row, even with a LC, you should qualify. (It also depends on what sort of 'infertility' testing your insurance covers.)
I mean, by all means you can definitely go see your OB-GYN, I'm just cautioning against getting any testing done with them (besides maybe sperm analysis and bloodwork), as an RE will want to do their OWN tests.
As for choosing/researching... I've been to 2 of the 'top' REs in my area and I think they're both dicks. One really pushed IVF after our RPL testing, and the other one did more testing (which was good), and then basically told me how fat I was for over an hour. So... yeah. The testing results were really helpful to have (even though they don't technically help me, as apparently NOTHING is wrong with me...), but their bedside manners were awful.

  • @char245 and @dpjennifer THANK YOU!!! I reached out to a friend who gave me her RE info and since I have a PPO, I made an appointment on November 12th. It was a little surreal making it, but I feel better. My Ob is fine but she dismissed the diagnosed focal placenta accreta I had as “probably something else” because they manually removed it and I didn’t need a D&C. It always rubbed me the wrong way since I gave birth at the largest hospital in the area and I know the pathology department is solid. I feel like she’s being conservative, which I do understand, but I’ve had lots of odd complications uterus-wise so I’m not sure being conservative is the best way forward. Plus, if I do have scarring, I’m pretty sure I’d need an RE for the surgery. Sorry for the word vomit—it feels so nice to actually acknowledge all of this
  • @mwmiller4 that’s great! It’s always so nice to feel like you’re taking steps in the right direction. FX everything goes well with your new RE! Keep us posted!
  • Here for the end of the month TWW. I found a 4 leaf clover today. Hopefully it's a sign. 💚
  • I go here now... just waiting for AF. Huge bummer went in for our IVF egg retrieval and somehow I already ovulated so there was nothing for them to retrieve. They said this rarely happens. WTF we followed their directions exactly. Not sure where we go from here, just feeling really down today.
  • oh no @char245 WTF that seriously sucks!  How frustrating.  Do they have a plan to make sure that doesn't happen again?

  • @coco2787 not sure, my doctor was at a wedding while all this was happening. Not sure when she’ll be back but I’ve asked to meet with her this week. I guess we just go from there...
  • @char245 I'm so so sorry, what a terrible shock!

  • @char245 ugh!!! I’m so sorry! That’s infuriating!!
  • @char245 I’m so sorry. What is the game plan?  Will they test early for O?   That is so disappointing I’m sure.
  • @Mack2342 met with my RE yesterday and she said this is extremely rare. She has a new protocol that she wants us to try but she can’t guarantee that it won’t happen again :( If it happens again it points to a larger ovulation issue, but according to the million ovulation kits I’ve bought I didn’t think that was a problem at all... so who knows. We’ve agreed to try the new protocol once. As long as I’m not needed as a stem cell donor for my dad (should know more about that this week) then we will move forward with this in Nov/Dec. Either way I’m just really looking to 2019 and hoping it’s wayyyy better then 2018!
  • @char245 I’m glad you have a plan.  I hope it works. I understand wanting to get into the new year. I hope all is going well with your dad.
  • @char245 I’m glad you have a plan and I’m all about kissing this year goodbye and hoping for much better things for everyone in 2019.
  • Bfn 12dpo and now my body is doing the same thing as last month. 1 day of brown spotting, next day nothing, today some more brown spotting. Sigh. If I’m going to get af can I please just Get af. Gah, sorry for the rant.
  • @justarius I’m sorry you’re going through that again! All of the waiting and not knowing is so stressful!!
  • Sorry @justarius, I totally get that! Just show your rotten face already!

@Mack2342, I hope you are doing well. Have you had surgery yet?

AFM, last week sucked the big one with a ever so lovely yeast infection which came the day after getting +opk! So Sun- BD, Mon- +opk/BD, Tue- YI, Wed- Temp rise.
Great timing lol Here I am , 10 dpo.
  • @rowedking6 sorry about YI.  Yes I had surgery on Monday.  I’m doing pretty good.  I moved from the walker yesterday to a cane.
  • @char245 I'm so sorry that happened. How frustrating... Hoping it's not an issue next time!!

AFM 1 DPO. Here we go.
  • I'm like 7 DPO (not temping, and not using OPKs, so it's a guesstimate). Sad but it's like we only half-@ss try to BD during the FW, and then just wait to expect AF to show up.  Le sigh.
