  • Due date/W+D: 16th/9w4d

Baby is the size of a(n): Cherry

Any appointments? Questions?: nothing until the 30th

Rants/Raves?: DS got his flu shot today and has been a hot mess alllllllll afternoon.

How are you feeling?: Just so exhausted and nauseous still

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? I honestly have no idea

Baby is the size of a(n):
     grape

     Any appointments? Questions?:
I have an OB appointment on Thursday. First one with the doctor. So I’m excited to touch base with her.

    Rants/Raves?:
we have started telling close family and a couple friends about thepregnancy, of course now I feel more anxious because people know. Ugh!

     How are you feeling?:
Same story... nausea seems better sometimes but then it will come back out of no where and I will start to feel lousy again for a few hours.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history,

This is a hard one. I think it would be cool to see what it was like in North America around the time of the American revolution but I wouldn’t want to have to live through that time. I also think it would be interesting to travel back to the 1960s to witness my parents generation in their youth. Plus great music.
  • Due date/W+D: 9 weeks, may 20th

Baby is the size of a(n): southern pecan

Any appointments? Questions?: next apt is with my OB in 2 weeks. I’m gonna try to see if I can meet with a nutritionist before all the gd talk begins, hopefully can get ahead of it

Rants/Raves?: my SO and DD got food poisoning I think a couple days ago. SO still made me dinner and changed my oil when I got home from work, even though he was feeling crappy. So sweet. I need to find something nice to do when I get some energy back to show him how much I appreciate how much he’s picked up my slack these past weeks

How are you feeling?: pretty good. Nausea has really decreased and my boobs are slowly starting to calm down too. Still freaking tired though.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? Probably the 60s... not really sure why though.

  • Due date/W+D: 16th 9+4

Baby is the size of a(n): tator tot

Any appointments? Questions?: I go in next Monday for a first legit appt.  Last pregnancy I had to do an early glucose test I think around 12 weeks (probably due to being plus size).  I'm curious if I will have to do that again this time (different doctor so I'm not sure what to expect).

Rants/Raves?: my sis in-laws were here for the weekend and they were totally chill houseguests.  It was a good time, and they were fine with having a lazy weekend - which is good because that's all I had energy for.

How are you feeling?: so so so tired.  Nausea is still coming and going.  I am so exhausted I can hardly function.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? That's a hard choice.  I think I would want to to go back to ancient Egypt to see the pyramids being built to know how they accomplished such a feat.

  • This thread is for those due May 15 - 22

    Due date/W+D: May 16/9+5

Baby is the size of a(n): bottle cap

Any appointments? Questions?: intake appt with the nurse is this Friday

Rants/Raves?: I am really appreciating the new screen time metric that the iphone got after this last software update. Also I spend much more time looking at my phone than I would like to. 😬😆

How are you feeling?: I got overheated in the steamy bathroom while giving dd2 a bath on Sunday and dry-heaved a few times but otherwise the nausea is calming down.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? Assuming I’d be safe from the inhabitants back then, I’d go back to the dinosaurs. I just read Jurassic Park 😂 and I’ve never seen the movie so when DH gets back from his work trip we’re going to watch it.

  • *Hey ladies! I am hopping over here because at my appointment yesterday we got our first look/measurements and the baby is measuring a few days ahead. So he changed maybe EDD from 5/24 to 5/21*

    Due date/W+D: May 21st, 9 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): southern pecan

Any appointments? Questions?: my doctor wants me to consult with maternal Fetal Medicine (high risk doctors) due to my diabetes and incompetent cervix so I’ll meet with them on 11/8 and then back with him on 11/12  and then hopefully I’ll get my cerclage that week or the next  just one more month until I’ll feel relatively “safe”

    Rants/Raves?: not really!

How are you feeling?: I’m exhausted and I’ve been even more nauseous this week then ever before. That’s my least favorite part.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? Hmmmm...I’ve always wanted to go back to the late 1700s/1800s to Scotland. I’d love to see that part of history.

  • Hello ladies, I’m moving here from group 2 as my doctor pushed my EDD back from May 14th to the 18th at my last appointment.

    Due date/W+D: May 18/9+4

Baby is the size of a(n): tater tot

Any appointments? Questions?: Not until Nov 2nd.

Rants/Raves?: Hmm, nothing really exciting either way happening recently.

How are you feeling?: Nausea still coming and going. Tired and headachy. I’ve been trying to take it easy this week and felt a lot better today.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? I wouldn’t want to live at any other point in history because modern medicine is amazing. Can you imagine trying to give birth 200 years ago??  But if it were just to observe for awhile, maybe one of the ancient civilizations like China or Mesopotamia because it must have been so different.

  • Hi gals and welcome @keighty80 and @kipper-2

@keighty80 have you had issues with IC in the past? I had a cervical surgery a few years ago and was on extra monitoring for cervical length during my last pregnancy. I didn't have a cerclage but I remember how anxiety inducing it is.

    Due date/W+D: May 19/9+3

Baby is the size of a(n): soda can tab

Any appointments? Questions?: Blood draw next Monday for the NIPT and general assessment (first blood draw of pregnancy, managed to avoid it so far!), OB appt on 10/30 for the NT scan.

Rants/Raves?: Not much! My DH's father, stepmom and stepsister are coming to visit for the weekend. They arrive tomorrow, I have lots to do around the house to get ready @Stormiewinter we've also been telling more ppl about the pregnancy, it makes me a little anxious but trying to be OK with it.

How are you feeling?: I'm feeling so very much better this week. My nausea has subsided, and I started on acid reflux meds that have helped tremendously. I get really bad reflux when I'm pregnant, apparently, and it started so early this time. Someone else mentioned it in another thread, but for the last few days, I've actually been able to stomach a cup of coffee in the morning, which I think has helped tremendously. Having some minor RLP when I move suddenly or breathe deeply (?!) but it's not so bad.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? Gosh I know it was a tumultuous time but maybe the roaring '20s. Or the women's movement in the '60s.

  • Welcome to our new ladies!

@DressageDarling oh darn, you reminded me we have to take DD in to get her first shot so they can give her the second at her 15 month appointment with at least a month between. Hope DS is feeling better

@Stormiewinter and @fatmonica yay for your appointments tomorrow and Monday!

@thebobloblaw your SO sounds amazing! And way to be proactive about the GD. I think one or two other people mentioned having to get tested early and/or wanting to try to manage it now so there were talks of a thread starting but I'm not sure that happened yet.

@keighty80 so glad they sorted out your due date and your mind can be put at ease!

@bluesky24 I forget if you posted this somewhere else but will you find out the sex with your NIPT? And I've heard that the hormones that cause reflux also cause hair growth. I had moderate reflux (although no heartburn since I don't like spicy food) and DD had a full head of beautiful red hair. It holds up about 90% of the time, not sure if that was the case for you but it will make me feel better this time if/when it starts. We actually knew she was a red head before we knew if she was a boy or a girl :)

Due date/W+D: 5/17, 9+5 - EDD got moved at our 8 week appointment so I need to fix my ticker

Baby is the size of a(n): water bottle cap

Any appointments? Questions?: ultrasound on Monday to check the SCH

Rants/Raves?: This SCH has me more freaked out than I'd like to admit. I'm curious how big it is so I think I need to write another note to my OB as she should have gotten the note from the on call doctor by now. DH was traveling for work and his meetings ended early yesterday, so he was able to switch his flight and fly back last night. He walked in the door at 1:30am and got up with DD at 5am so I could sleep. It was so hard going through the bleeding scare (the on call OB said it sounded like a miscarriage when I told her what was going on in the office) without him there, plus I'm not supposed to pick up DD AT ALL as that constitutes heavy lifting so managing would be nearly impossible. Because he's worked so many hours this pay period already, he can come home early today and tomorrow and not go in at all on Friday which is good b/c he has to do daycare drop off and pickup at least until our next U/S on Monday.

How are you feeling?: morning sickness just sucks the life out of me.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? To just observe, maybe the 1940s in Europe as I find WWII very interesting (Band of Brothers, anyone?). As a kid, I had a Felicity American Girl doll and loved the revolutionary war era. The medical stuff would be my main hesitation but I find that period in American history so interesting.

  • Due date/W+D: Due May 22nd. I am 9 weeks exactly today.

Baby is the size of a(n): well babysizer geek says my baby is the size of the one ring! Which is so cool because thats what Dh wedding ring is of.

Any appointments? Questions?: No questions. I go on Halloween but since I called my OB today I'm wondering if shes going to put labs in sooner for me.

Rants/Raves?: MIL is being awfully cunty for no particular reason.

How are you feeling?: Not so well today. Nearly passed out. Got lucky Dh came come to find his wallet because I ended up needing him to run and get me apple juice.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be?
Thats a really hard one. I think I'd just want to go back through time at various points where things where being built. Like i'd want to go back and see the pyramids built and like stone henge.

  • This thread is for those due May 15 - 22

    Due date/W+D: may 15/10+1

Baby is the size of a(n): guitar pick

Any appointments? Questions?:  next appt is Oct 30 to check on my SCH and for early GD test.  Past pregnancy I was tested at 16 weeks and failed 1 hour but passed 3 hour but at 30 weeks failed both.  So I am also trying to eat like i didnbecore tochipefully not have to go through that again.

    Rants/Raves?:

How are you feeling?:  anxious/terrified over this SCH.  Hoping that it resolves itself.  Don’t even want to leave the house for fear I will just start bleeding.

Also- I feel like I have started the pregnancy waddle this week.  I didn’t think I was really showing but definitely am waddling.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be?  I think it would be neat to visit different historically controversial moments to see what really happened.

    Due date/W+D: May 22 / 9 weeks + 1 day. :)

Baby is the size of a(n): Green olive.

Any appointments? Questions?: I had a dr. appointment for my second ultrasound Monday (22nd) but I canceled that and scheduled it for Saturday (20th) at an ultrasound imaging center. My insurance is horrible so it is way cheaper for me to do it this way. I would like to know anyone's opinion on this if they have one.

Rants/Raves?: I want to schedule an ultrasound every two or three weeks. I am terrified of having another missed miscarriage again.

How are you feeling?: Great. All my back pain is lower now and really only hurts when I bend over. Other than that, just tired all of the time. Especially after eating it seems like.

GTKY: If you could go back to anytime in history, what would it be? The 1950's. I love that era.

@kvh22 Me and my husband just started Band of Brothers last week and are in love with it. I love war movies but this show just makes me so interested too. I definitely hear you on the "just to observe" part. Lol.
