@jgrodo yes, I noticed that too! FTM and I really enjoyed reading the size comparisons and sharing with my husband. I noticed it, I think, at 21 weeks, but it might have just been this week (22 weeks)
I've still not purchased a crib. My PGAL brain is still somehow not completely convinced that it'll all be okay (even though I've had absolutely no indications that anything is wrong). It's frustrating. I'm hoping that once I hit 25/26 weeks, when chances of survival without severe impairments is pretty high, then I'll be able to finally be like "Yes, this is really going to happen, so let's get the nursery ready and get things set up." But right now, I keep feeling like I'm subconsciously waiting for the other shoe to fall.
@hannahbananas11 I literally have nothing for baby except a stuffed penguin my adorable little niece gave the baby... at this rate baby might sleep in a drawer like I did! Seriously planning on getting a car seat soon though!
@hannahbananas11 I haven’t had a loss and I’m terrified to buy anything. Our infertility has taught me to not take anything for granted. Just window shopping and making a list. DH feels the same way. I’m just trying to purge old stuff (which we had to do any way).
@hannahbananas11 - Girl. This is my third pregnancy after my loss and even with two healthy kiddos, I get those feelings 100%. Hugs! Make sure you’re allowing yourself to enjoy your pregnancy though - I struggled with that with my first after our loss.
I’m still dying of a cold. DH has been awesome this weekend with taking over morning duties and letting me sleep. I’ve gotten 12 full hours the last two nights and it’s been dreamy.
We had our big family Halloween party yesterday so I’ll AW our family picture here...
@hannahbananas11 I have nothing besides a few cute pj’s and onesies. My plan is to wait till Black Friday and also for my registry discounts which won’t happen till end of Dec. There’s still plenty of time!
We are going to Ikea soon though because I want a new dresser, and I want to go before I’m giant and also before the Holiday rush (Ikea is awful during holidays). That’s about it.

I usually can scrounge up randoms from the pantry when I need. One thing I’ve never needed before right now.. yeast. I want.. no NEED to make homemade breadsticks for my homemade zuppa tuscana soup for today. I don’t want to get dressed either though, so..
anybody have a decent yeast free recipe by chance?
@hannahbananas11 same same same. I have literally 0 things for baby right now. I have been keeping a word doc with some of the recommendations that ladies on here have given for car seats, bassinets, etc. but that is it. Maybe I'll start feeling better at 25/26 weeks but I have a feeling I am not going to do anything until like a month before my due date, which is probably not a great plan. Pgal brain is real!
@hannahbananas11 , im in the same boat... im getting tempted to start buying though. I told myself i would at 26 weeks, so 2 more weeks to go. DH and I went to buy buy baby today, to check out the stroller and car seat...so surreal seeing dh push a baby stroller around in the store! . Both are actually cheaper via amazon, so Ill order from there but was nice to see them in person before we drop that kind of dough
Yesterday, for the first time, I bought a baby thing without feeling weird and anxious. Woohoo! I've been given tons of stuff but if it weren't for that I would just a couple of onesies so far. It's odd how I already have all these reminders that it's *real* and yet buying stuff is still a weird hurdle.
Luckily DD is outgrowing stuff at pace to give most to LO l, if not faster. Sp car seat, pack n play, bottles, rock n play etc will be ready. Sadly DD was born in summer so we will have to get some winter clothes. But we already have the car seat fleece cover thing, so there's that.

I'm in the same boat as yall with not buying anything. Even with 23 week textbook pregnancy, and a 3yo DD, my 3 consecutive losses have me so jaded, Im struggling to enjoy this pregnancy! Unrelated, Im seriously thinking about calling in sick tomorrow, because I need another day in my weekend to lay around in bed.
@becks_726 I've been feeling so anxoian about all of it- we don't have anything- I don't want to have things in our apt. Which is totally driving my hubs nuts- I think he's nesting more then me! Good on you for buying something!
My poor kid has literally nothing. I’m 21 weeks now and I haven’t gotten him a thing. He doesn’t even have a freaking name. I feel so bad for him already. I’d already bought the going home outfits and most of the stuff the other two would need by now and they definitely had a freaking name. This one hasn’t even been announced on social media yet. My poor youngest child is already getting the short end of everything and he’s not even here yet.
We’ve had so many busy weekends that I’ve had no time to really start buying stuff.. we got DH his twin size bed but now I need to get him a small dresser to put inside his closet (it’s a pretty big closet), put the crib back together (in toddler bed mode right now), get the changing pad box thing to put on top of the current dresser for baby...and then purging toys and clothes to make room for more baby stuff! November is gonna be my get stuff done month.
DH has been a total A since I made him go to a birthday party on Saturday. He picks a fight about everything. Not looking forward to spending 9 hours in the car with him Friday.
@conchispita ugh that sucks he’s being that way. I hate when men get pouty over stupid stuff. Hopefully he gets over it by Friday so you have a pleasant trip.
@JamieH2000- you weren't kidding about Apple Holler. When we got there it was fairly peaceful but it was total madness when we left. Everyone had a great time though, and I am a fan for sure. We stayed too long to make it back for nap, but my kiddo was so tired his car nap became a straight transfer to a crib nap and he slept a total of almost three hours. Apple Holler for the win!
