Re: Symptoms Week of 10/1

  • @chikin_mama_3 Nausea to the extreme here too. I find pushing through and eating actually helps! That and Gatorade for some reason haha

  • Lower back pain continues. Breaking out my heating pad tonight and trying not to read into it too much.

  • Temp shifts are totally normal. I haven't really even thought about mine but now that I think, they have increased over the past few days.
  • Total new one for me today. Waking up in the middle of the night with the worst heartburn. I don’t normally ever get heartburn but did with my last pregnancy as well.
  • I have had a cold for 12 days now. I have known I am pregnant for 6 days. So most of my symptoms I can't tell if it is from pregnancy or the cold. The not being able to breathe right thing is obviously cold. The fatigue and restless sleep is probably from being sick... No fever, but I get cold more easily now. The only thing I can contribute to pregnancy is the intermittent very mild cramps and some mild nausea at night. I will take those over this stupid cold any day. I am trying to take care of myself, not exactly how I imagined the beginning of pregnancy to go!
  • @eleven_ yup. I also feel so exhausted all day with DD but then full of energy when she goes to bed
  • @jmvander pregnancy rhinitis could be to blame. I've been super congested and sneezing for sometime now. I thought it was late fall allergies but now I know that's not the case.

@eleven_ oh yes. I started taking 300mg of magnesium to help with sleeping (getting there and getting back if I wake). Though last night it didnt seem to help as much as usual.
  • @eleven_ yes, every night this week I can barely move I’m so exhausted and then I lay down and I cannot get comfortable. Last night it was my body just aching, going to get my pregnancy pillow out from last time this weekend to see if that helps. At least I’ve been sleeping in past 3 am the last 3 days 🙄
  • Same here, ugh, walking past all the kids in the hallway is intense
  • Slight cravings, mostly salt like I did my last pregnancy, a little nausea here or there, BAD acne and sore breasts. The symptoms come and go which I suppose is normal for only being 4 weeks so I’m trying to enjoy it before the morning sickness hits!!
  • The last couple nights sleep has been BRUTAL. I normally wake up around 3 and toss and turn. But last night I was up before midnight. Wide awake and couldn’t fall back asleep or get comfortable. And the most crazy. Wildest dreams I’ve ever had.
  • Got woken up by gas. Yay.
  • @mandik85 same! Super intense dreams keep waking me up in the middle of the night. It's either that or needing to pee. I miss my sleep, but I guess this is preparation for motherhood?
  • Weird symptom, but have any of you been burping a lot? If this is what my body is choosing rather than actually getting sick, then I’m happy for that, but has anyone else been burping? 😂

Absolutely. Not big ones. But little ones. All day long. I wasn’t sure if it was just me. But only started a couple weeks ago.

Mine are little ones too! This is my fourth time around and I never had anything like this before, lol. I guess what they say is true. Each one is different.
  • Same here with the burps, my nausea has been coming as soon as I lay down to sleep at night. Last night I sat up in bed and kept letting out little burps. My husband was sure I was going to misjudge one and puke would come out.
  • @chikin_mama_3 @mandik85 @jmvander Small burps here too! I had them with my first pregnancy too. I didn't have a lot of nausea.
  • I feel like I'm a sitting duck just waiting for the nausea to hit full force. I know it's coming. It just hasn't got here yet.
  • Yes! I totally am waiting for the nausea to come in full force like it did with my last pregnancy. Ugh, it’s like a ticking time bomb, even though I feel better prepared this time around I am still a wuss when it comes to vomiting!😩
  • I've got a sore throat every morning when I wake up that goes away by around 1 that's been going on for the last week. Probably some sort of rhinitis-related symptom; it's exactly like I used to get before they figured out the right balance of allergy meds for me. Or maybe I'm getting dehydrated overnight? Hoping it doesn't last the full 9 months!
  • @spacepiraterunner I had that with my first 2 pregnancies. It was definitely from the rhinitis and post nasal drip. I'm sure it's coming for me again. I'm starting to feel super congested again...
  • Me waking up with a face full of zits.

I'm 5 weeks today. My skin is so oily  :s

  • Well, it has finally hit me. I started feeling bad last night and then I woke up around midnight and thought I was going to be sick. I even camped out in the bathroom for a little while just in case.

Then this morning at church I felt light headed and nauseous. I had to stay seated so my head didn't spin.
  • @eleven_ love that! I got 5 (!) cycstic pimples on my chin in the last 2 weeks and I am losing my mind. I look like I have the skin of a 14 year old who also has wrinkles.
  • 5w4d today and nausea has returned with a vengeance (all symptoms stopped for ~1 week so even though they're pretty terrible I'm glad they're back!). I walked into work this morning and someone was eating muesli in the office and I honestly wanted to find them and vomit on them. Getting hot/cold flushes, back pain is killing me (I have scoliosis so that's normal) and haven't slept longer than an hour at a time for the last 2 weeks. Ovarian cyst is also causing me some pains but apart from one severe cramp a few days ago I've grown accustomed to the aches and not stressing as much.
  • @wiseh I'm feeling super nauseous today too! I'm only 5w1d. I don't remember it starting this early in my other pregnancies. And the hold and cold flashes are in full force.

Plus 1 to the nausea club. It’s bad. But thankfully not as bad as it was with DS. I was nauseous ALL pregnancy with him 😬
  • Oh, acid reflux, welcome back. All I did was drink water.....
  • Nausea is starting already. It held off a little longer with DS. With that pregnancy I lost 20 lbs 1st trimester from MS. My Dr told me today that it is not acceptable to repeat that and I need to call for help if it gets that bad again .
  • @eleven_ tell me about it! Not as bad today, but every time I step outside I get a wave of it. Maybe it's just walking that's making me nauseous? Who knows! Oh the joys. As my partner said to me the other day, "this whole baby making stuff is so much easier for guys. I'm not sore or sick at all!". They definitely get the better end of the deal haha
  • Fatigue is killllling me. And you are so right @wiseh about how the menfolk don’t quite get it. I was telling BF last night how I am so tired I can barely get through work and his oh so helpful response: me too! No. I don’t think so buddy.
  • @TJtheGoat That is my biggest pet peeve ever! DH knows not to complain about being tired while I'm pregnant.
