I'm a nursing student. I woke up at 2am and started reciting the steps for a head-to-chest health assessment.

I have an exam in 9 hours.

It is not in health assessment.

Omg I needed this- my pregnant self is awake right now because my 2 year old was flailing around like a demon tonight. I got up to change his diaper, because he does this when a tiny bit wet sometimes, and found a sneaky middle of the night poop and a flaming diaper rash from sleeping in the poop. So I'm scrambling around for diaper rash cream and diaper liners (I cloth diaper) to soothe his poor booty and come back to find a lovely puddle of pee in the middle of my bed. He's sobbing, I want to sob. It's a good situation. And this is how we ended up on the couch at 2AM watching the PJ Masks.

@missmcgonnagal why does random unnecessary(to the task) also pop into our minds right before tests!? Hope you do amazingly on your test tomorrow and that you get some rest tonight.

Because I have to go to work! Today is the first time in a very long time that Im supposed to be in my office all day and not out ,,visiting providers. It's good cuz it'll give me a chance to finally have lunch with my friends at work but also they'll see me order more food than I usually do and maybe get suspicious.

Ooh I needed this thread! Last night the dog jumped off the bed FIVE TIMES 😡 She cant get back up by herself so she whines and tips until you pick her up and put her back on the bed.

Because I have an abscess on the root of my molar and it hurts so bad I could cry. Ive been up 45 mins in pain just watching the minutes drag on in agony. 15 more mins till my next tylenol dose and thank God only 4 more hours till I hit the endodontist.

Well darn, had I known this board was up, I would have posted on here last night rather than mindlessly scrolling through facebook. Well, my pregnant self was awake at 3:00 am because my husband didn’t hear his alarm go off this morning for work, resulting in me punching him awake. Well, the dogs then woke up because his alarm went off for 2 minutes and they spent the next 2 hours grooming themselves, licking and scratching and biting. Ugh! So, this momma has been up since 3. I’m going to need coffee!

Because DH couldn't get DD2 back to sleep after her MOTN wake up. I am fortunate that he does almost all of the MOTNs with her (even though she screams in anger when she sees him come down the stairs and not me) without complaining, but every so often, she just will not go back to sleep for him. After 2 hours, he fell asleep in her bed and she just crawled out to the bottom of the stairs to yell at me instead. And I can't fall asleep easily in her bed, so I lay with her for what felt like 2 hours while she cooed and played with her teddy bears.

HOW DOES A 2 YEAR OLD SURVIVE WITH A 4 HOUR WAKE UP IN THE MOTN?!?

@k2k2tog ughh our 13 month old was awake for 2 hours 2 nights ago but then I couldn't get to sleep for another 2 hours after that. She's been sleeping horribly for a couple weeks as she has 4-6 teeth coming in (2 are through now). Last night, she slept though so I feel like a new human. I forgot to look in her mouth this morning but I'm hoping all 6 teeth are finally through now. She only had the 2 bottom teeth until these started coming in a couple weeks ago so if this is how sleep is with teething, I'm screwed.

@sleepy33 I'm not familiar with that one, but I have a well-read copy of The No-Cry Sleep Solution. For my children, it seems there is no formula, no method, no routine, nothing that helps, just time. DD1 started sleeping well around 3.5.

I know it’s not the middle of the night right now, but man. I swear I haven’t slept at all since I suspected being pregnant. Every time I finally start to drift off to sleep, my 8 month old wakes up and I need to go and take care of her. And it never helps that my husband is a heavy and peaceful sleeper. I wanna just hit him with a pillow sometimes when I look over at him snoozing away. Ugh

I have literally no idea why my I'm awake right now, but probably because I napped today. I'll regret it tomorrow when my kid is waking me up at 7. Which he only does on Saturdays when I wake up with him, on Sundays when I've asked DH to, he sleeps until 9.

Pregnancy insomnia. I fell asleep at 10, woke up at 3:30. Last night I told DH to go to bed at a normal time so that I could sleep in today. I get up every am with DD at 6 and usually I’m ok with it because i go to bed so early, but now with insomnia back rearing it’s ugly head, I want to be able to sleep late if I need to. Especially because it’s the weekend.

My pregnant self is awake because I’m nauseous. I ate a piece of fruit to try to settle the hunger before actually getting out of bed. But nope, threw it up. So i guess now i can make me some bacon, eggs, and waffles!! Good morning 😩😩😩

Insomnia pretty bad the past two nights. I fall asleep easily but just keep walking up every 5-10 minutes. Im also still nauseous and have a headache. Headache, I don't know why.
My doctor prescribed me Zofran but for some reason, even the generic version is not covered by my insurance! So now I have to do some research into which anti-nausea med is covered.

I woke up to pee... couldn’t fall back asleep because I was nauseated. Then, I thought, “Lucky charms would be amazing right now.” So I had to have a bowl... now I am watching HGTV thinking about how I have to get up for work in a few hours.

@expandcontract, what about Diclegis? If the combination isn’t covered, you can just buy the separate components (Unisom and Vit B6). Strange that Zofran or the generic wouldn’t be covered...insurance is weird like that. I’ll never understand it.

@expandcontract - my doc gave me metoclopramide for anti-nausea. I’m also taking B6 & Unisom to help with nausea and insomnia. I took Zofran last pregnancy and it gave me horrible headaches and the worst constipation of my life. Hopefully you find some relief soon.

I'm up because I'm worried. My toes started going numb tonight. Which was the symptom I had with my son to let me know I had GD.

I'm 8 weeks this Wednesday why is this already starting? So worried with it and DH is just like "your a psycho go to bed".

@eatinwatermelonseeds you have too many people/ animals in bed with you! Of course you're not going to sleep with all that going on. Can you put DS in the crib and temporarily kick out the dog for several months?

@psychobutthead Im sorry you may have GD again and so soon. But worrying about it is just going to make it worse and raise your sugar. Call your doctor. Hopefully, it's just a lack of B6,B12 (can cause numbness and tingling).

@expandcontract DS is almost 5, dude needs to sleep in his own damn bed but he's always crawling in with us. And I can't sleep without the dog, unfortunately. I could very easily sleep without the husband or kid though. We're looking into getting a king size bed (we're in a queen right now and I feel like I'm going to die).

I'm very fucking grumpy right now because after all that bullshit trying to get to sleep, my husband's alarm went off like 50 times before mine and dude didn't get up until mine went off and I started swearing. 😡

I'm awake because my dog had a splash of diarrhea in our bedroom. Thank God my hubby was home to clean it up. Now I can't fall back asleep (it's been about an hour). I didnt really want to wake up at 5am today...
