TWW Monday 10/8

**This is a thread that welcomes all regardless of where they are at in their TTC journeys. Please be mindful of topics that are discussed that could be hurtful to those going through tough times. Mention of children or pregnancies of others should have a TW and be in a spoiler if possible, and only be mentioned if it is extremely pertinent to the conversation. Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD/DPO: 30/14

    Timing: High

Typical LP length: 12-14. Pretty sure I’m normally at 13, but I’ve only been tracking 2-3 months. My typical is still being established.

Testing: Two BFNs already, so I’m waiting for AF to show... I have a work dinner on Wednesday, so I’m going to take a test that morning if AF hasn’t come yet.

R/R: I’m ready for CD1 or a positive. I’m very annoyed that I’m in this middle ground.  Plus, Monday’s... blah.

CS/Q:  Chart below. No spotting yet, but I’m assuming that will show up today.

@cpiper39 that's definitely the worst place to be! Hugs to make it through a Monday.

    Month/cycle: 4/4

    CD/DPO: 20/4dpo

    Timing: -4, -2, -1, 0

    Typical LP length: 10-12

    Testing: still too early

R/R: nothing to rant about so instead I'll rave about some awesome Detroit style pizza I had yesterday, which was amazing. I didn't even know it was a thing!!

CS/Q: in spoiler. First time sharing.

@cpiper39 agreed, that is the (IMO) worst part of the TWW. I’m sorry for your BFNs.
@jennifer_louise I’m going to have to google Detroit style pizza. Speaking of which, I’m Canadian so maybe I’m just living under a rock but is it common for restaurants to have salads with fries in them or is that just a local thing in PA?

    Month/Cycle: 10/7

    CD/DPO: 44/6

    Timing: -3, -1

Typical LP length: I don’t normally O on my own so last cycle was only 6

Testing: I tell myself WFAF but realistically 10dpo if I make it that far.

R/R: had a fun weekend shopping. Did some real damage, but not much of it turned out to be Xmas gifts... yay for my wardrobe, boo for my wallet. lol.

Had some really weird, sharp stabbing pains in my belly last night after dinner. TMI I spent some time in the Walmart bathroom (so classy) and probably only threw up because of the pain but no bleeding and I don’t even think it counts as a stomach ache because everything else seemed normal. No fever either. So now I don’t know what’s up. Abdomen is still tender and crampy today but still no sign of AF, andplusalso it felt nothing like period pains.

CS/Q: the two open circles from Sat and today are because we were up over an hour earlier than normal to hit the road. The time adjusted temps are about .2-.4 degrees higher but if I enter those temps instead, FF recalculates my CH to O on the 4th so now I’m confused.

@kiki047 Yes Yes Yes I'm loving the way that chart looks. Esp because the RHR is following along. Also... WEIRD about your stomach issue. Do you typically struggle with stomach pain/sensitivity? Did you eat anything weird? I also had the same thing this weekend and am still feeling a little queasy from it to be honest. Ugh.

@jennifer_louise oooo what is Detroit style pizza? I love discovering new kinds of pizza.

@cpiper39 Temps still high, so you're not out until you are out! Hugs my friend.

    Month/Cycle: 11

    CD/DPO: 5

    Timing: -2

    Typical LP length: 10-13

    Testing: No

R/R: Ok, so I'm supposed to be benched but I just realized this past weekend that we actually might be in the game for this one. Timing isn't GREAT but it isn't impossible. I usually O around CD 18 but this cycle made it to 15 (YAY thyroid meds!!) and was not expecting to actually O that early. Meant to be benched but... Oh well?

CS/Q: Nothing to ask, just posting my chart for funsies.

@nomangos23 haha I’m SS like crazy, and Dr Google is NOT helpful. I searched for “sharp stabbing pains in belly” and it autofilled “in early pregnancy”. Really?! So yeah, I went down that rabbit hole last night lol. Realistically it’s probably because I ate like crap all weekend. It’s hard to eat healthy on the road, especially when they apparently put French fries in salads here. Why is that a thing?! I had pizza for lunch, which is the first time I’ve had any measurable amount of gluten in 2+ months, other than the odd bite of a sandwich or the half a cupcake I snuck last wkd. I had some bloating after that but no pain like this. I don’t think it’s food poisoning because we all shared and everyone else’s is fine. Just strange.
Also, happy dance that you might not be out this cycle!! FX for you!!!

@nomangos23 yay for being in the game! SO Detroit style pizza is rectangular, pretty thick crust but I think they must cook it in a pan with a lot of oil because the crust is so golden brown and chewy and delicious. @kiki047 I have never heard of fries on salad but I must say I'm intrigued... Is the dressing just smothered over the whole thing?
  • Options
@jennifer_louise Soooo... do I have to go to Detroit to find this kind of pizza? Because it sounds delicious!

  • Options
@nomangos23 I have never been to Detroit, this was in Denver! I'm guessing you could find it in any reasonably sized city. Although, again, I had never heard of it before :)
  • Options
@jennifer_louise yes, it was a lettuce base, then fries, then all the salad toppings, smothered in dressing. I thought maybe it was just a thing at that one chain but we saw it at other restaurants too. It would’ve been cool if maybe they were on the side because who doesn’t love French fries with a crispy chicken salad but they made everything warm and wilty.

I’m SS so bad right now. It’s a good sign that my RHR is following my BBT... that can rule out the possibility of a fever, right? I use RHR as my litmus test for irregular temps so this is only feeding the BSC. It occurred to me I have a cheapie HPT in my wallet from a few months ago when I snuck one to work with me but talked myself out of testing. I forgot about it and just remembered it was there. It’s way  too early to test so why am I even going there?

R/R: Great weekend doing pretty much nothing! DH and I went on a long mountain bike ride on Sunday which was a ton of fun!!

CS/Q: I’m pretty sure I O’d earlier this month (+OPK on Fri pm and Sat am) which works for me since DH left this am and is out of town until Friday. I know “they” say you typically O 24-36 hrs after a +OPK - do you guys find that to be accurate?

@cpiper39 I liken the TWW to Schrödinger’s cat. It’s an “experiment” in physics that’s basic premise is this: a cat is stuck in a box with a  chemical that could or could not kill the cat (50% chance exactly). So basically the cat is both 100% alive and 100% dead because you don’t know and have no way of knowing until you look in the box. It’s kinda weird, but it’s how I feel about the TWW - I’m both 100% KU and 100% not KU. Okay, end of the science nerdiness. 🤓

@jennifer_louise That pizza sounds great! Speaking of weird things on food (fries on salad) - there’s a pizza place kinda close to me that does mashed potatoes and fried chicken on pizza. It’s my favorite!! They also do spaghetti on a pizza. Trust me, it’s delicious!

@nomangoes23 It only takes one time to make it work! 😉 FX for you!

@kiki047 Are you in Pittsburgh? Because apparently fries in salad is a thing there. Not popular elsewhere in PA - or at least where I went to school.

    @nomangos23 Your chart looks good!
kiki047 I'm right there with you on the wonky temps and confusing chart still. FX that things even out for us both.
jennifer_louise What are you using for charting?
cpiper39 I'm sorry about the BFNs, your chart still looks good though so keeping hope for you.
@lillywonderland I am wondering this too about OPK.. I would guess that you O'd Saturday or Sunday at some point. Did you notice any CM changes?

    Month/Cycle: 3/2

    CD/DPO: 38/5 or 6

    Timing: Good/great

    Typical LP length: 12

Testing: Maybe end of week if I make it there

R/R: Rant/ I had a really crappy encounter with a wildly uninformed person yesterday and it was hard to go to sleep last night because my anxiety kept creeping back up over the whole thing.

CS/Q: I had a dip yesterday in temperature, which I took some alarm to but I know 4/5 dpo dips are common. Today I dipped even further, but these past two days I've had to temp about 30 min early because of waking up early. So, I don't know if the dip is really so severe or not.

As a test, yesterday and today I didn't move an inch and rechecked closer to regular wake time and had more stabile temps.. does anyone know more about the sensitivity/accuracy of BBT rising when lying awake close to normal time?

Either way, I'm mentally preparing myself for another cycle.
  • Options
@kiki047 If you want to test early, splurge on the FR. The cheapie won't tell you anything that early. Can you wait until Thursday? You'll have a much better idea if the HPT are accurate.
  • Options
@nomangos23 lol I have a few FRERs at home. For some reason my brain seems to be ok with waiting an extra day if I miss my FMU but I have to make it past that point first. Once I do, I’ll wait another day. I *think* I can hold out until Friday if AF doesn’t come first.

@lillywonderland yup, pretty much - we were  in Erie. They had it in Grove City too. Do you know where that combo came from?

@rikiteacup hugs to you, hope you don't stay long!!

    @lillywonderland I love your Schrodinger's cat analogy, too perfect👌

@mamanbebe it's called CycleProGo. I had never heard of FF until joining this board! I think it's intended for fertility awareness for avoiding pregnancy, but it works both ways I guess. It's not free ($36/year) but I think the unique aspect is you have access to "teaching couples" to ask questions about your cycles. Obviously they're not medical professionals so I'm not sit that's a huge benefit but whatever. I'm stuck with it for the next year :)

This is such a nerve-racking period.

    Month/Cycle: 4/4
    CD/DPO: 27/6
Typical LP length: Trying to figure this out. This is the first cycle I've started charting BBT, which has been a real eye-opener. I used OPKs for a couple of months and would get frustrated b/c I had zero comprehensive results. I start charting and all of a sudden I see that I ovulate later in my cycle (Day 20 or 21). Kind of sucks b/c that was a crazy week and we didn't have sex on Day 20 or 21, but oh well. At least now I have a more scientific way to track. I'm supposed to start in 8 days (I have a long cycle), so we'll see. I use the Flo app to track and it's been helpful.
Testing: Going to wait until my (hopefully) missed period.
R/R: Rave - went to Oktoberfest this weekend and spent time with family! DH and I barely drank any alcohol - just in case - and had a blast. Also, I have a meeting regarding a prospective new job on Wednesday. It's a secret since the company works closely with my company, but I really hope it's a great opportunity and will pay better than my current job. Rant - I have the most annoying coworker and I keep hoping that I can talk myself out of getting irritated with her immediately, but it doesn't work. Let's hope it's just b/c it's Monday.
CS/Q: This is my first month charting BBT and it's been really enlightening. First few days past ovulation my temp skyrocketed. I had a dip yesterday and today, but that may be due to waking up at a different time. We'll see. Can't quite notice a pattern until after tracking for a few months. I just wish I had started earlier rather than trying OPKs followed by Seed lube. Alas.

It's only been 4 months since we started TTC and I removed my IUD, but I wonder if it's too early to just talk with my OB? I know they say 6-12 months for healthy couples, but I'd rather find out now that we need extra help than wait 2 more months to just go through the same process. For some reason, I'm just significantly more emotional today.

@brookert615 Primanti’s was the most ridiculous, lol, the food was ok but just so much of it. The fries just pushed it over the top. We’re not used to American serving sizes either.

@lillywonderland your analogy is perfect. Wow. Thank you for sharing that!!

@cpiper39 Hugs, knowing AF is imminent is the worst part of TTC in my opinion.

    Month/Cycle: 5/5

    CD/DPO: 28/10

    Timing: Good

    Typical LP length: 13-14

Testing: BFN on Wondfo at 9DPO, making myself wait until Friday now.

R/R: See TW below, a rave and rant ha

    CS/Q: Chart in spoiler

TW: Rant/Rave: My SIL is pregnant with #2, I'm super excited for them, but they revealed Saturday and I was more upset then I thought I'd be about it. Took me a few hours to wrap my head around it and be happy for them. She basically got pregnant immediately after stopping breastfeeding. So hence the 9DPO testing on my part Sunday morning.

@kiki047 It is insane. I'm not even used to American sized servings LOL. But Pittsburgh food is ridiculous. They put fries on salads, hoagies, pizza... pretty much everything. You're guaranteed to get potatoes somehow slipped into your food in one way or another! Also, I hope you feel better!

I will have to return later to tag and reply - bumping on mobile!

    Month/Cycle: 6/4

    CD/DPO: 34/14

    Timing: Good

Typical LP length: 12-15? Last cycle was 15 but mostly spotting, so far I’ve had no spotting.

Testing: BFN on a cheapie this morning. I just want AF to show at this point. If not, I’m back wondering if I ever even O’d. 🙄 TTC sucks.

R/R: We had a great time at the wedding this past weekend!

    CS/Q: WTF is happening.

@cpiper39 I’m in the same boat, the limbo between BFNs and WFAF at the end of the TWW is just awful. I hope you get an answer soon ❤️
    @jennifer_louise Yum pizza sounds good!
@kiki047 Ugh sorry that your cycle is so confusing and for the weird stomach pain!! I hope you did actually O and that becomes more clear soon. Hugs!
    @nomangos23 What a pretty chart!
@lillywonderland I like the Schroedinger’s cat comparison! Very true.
@jessg2223 FX for you that it’s just way early!! TW between our friends/coworkers /acquaintances, I’ve seen announcements almost every day for the last 2 weeks. Definitely makes it difficult to be happy for others when we’re struggling ourselves ❤️

@brookert615 Say hello to my DH for me - he’s actually in Pittsburgh this week, lol!

@kiki047 Fries on a salad - no thank you. Just because it is called a salad doesn’t mean you can throw fries on it and think it’s still healthy! Lol. American servings for LIFE!  WE LIKE TO EAT! Lol. I actually get kids meals a lot because they are cheaper and I’ll actually finish the whole thing. Word on the American Street is that serving sizes in Texas are even bigger. 😳

@mamanbebe CM went out of control Friday (ewcm) so I’m prolly thinking the same for me - O on either Sat/Sun.

@jessg2223 Hugs!! Just so you know it’s perfectly okay to feel a whole range of emotions toward your SIL (anger, sadness, jealousy, etc) and they do not in ANY way show how you truly feel about her.

@dogmomma271 Your chart still looks good! You’re not out until AF shows!!

So I'm officially saying goodbye to TWW and headed back to WTO... But some responses before I go on to month 4. FX for everyone in here!

@jennifer_louise I'm in Detroit! That's funny you had it in Denver
@kiki75 Ugh, sorry to hear about your Walmart experience
@nomangos23 Good luck with everything given you're still benched
@lillywonderland I LOVE the nerdiness! Ha!
@mamanbebe So sorry for the loss of sleep. I've been in that situation before - not fun
@rikiteacup I was so sorry to see the results when you posted. Good luck with what you guys decide to do. Big hug  <3
@catheriner523 I'm with you on the anxiety, but it's still early/normal range. The good thing is you're tracking. I have a friend who was been trying for a couple years, but since they haven't actively been tracking everything, their doc said to start with that so there is data.
    @jessg2223 FX for Friday!
@dogmomma271 You're still in this! FX FX FX for you! Go join everyone in June
