Due date/W+D: 5/13 8 + 0 weeks

Baby is the size of a(n): A small grape or Raspberry

Any appointments? Questions?: One today; another in two weeks and then another two weeks later. Will feel better by Halloween when we have all results in.

Rants/Raves?: My work has kept me super busy these last two weeks and probably for another two. Ready for some R&R at the end of the month. Taking a 4-day weekend.

This morning sickness can take a hike already. I've hardly eaten and everything sounds awful. FX this medication works.

How are you feeling?: Nauseated and anxious. But really excited bc I saw little baby this morning. It'll all be worth it.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Violent Femmes' Blister in the Sun. We used to listen to that album and Offspring's Americana on repeat in the summer as kids.

Any appointments? Questions?: Dentist appointment today 😂😂 Otherwise, not another appointment until November 2

Rants/Raves?: RANT!!! Ugh, so thanks to the stomach flu, I’m nauseous 24/7. I know it’s “morning” sickness but it’s CONSTANT. The only way I don’t feel nauseous is if I’m eating, so I’m basically shoving food into my face all day long. I may have lost 8 pounds from the stomach flu, but I may gain 100 pounds if this nausea keeps up!

How are you feeling?: Nauseous, 24/7. It. Sucks.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Ridin’ Solo. Okay, I know I’m young but this was the song I BLASTED in my car when I got my drivers license. 😂😂 Took it a little too literally.

Any appointments? Questions?: Drs appointment tomorrow. Just a check in as far as I know. First ultrasound is on the 12th!

Rants/Raves?: My dog rolled in horse shit last night while I was at work. I didnt notice until after I let him jump in my car at the gate. So we immediately took a shower. I love my dog but seriously dude!

How are you feeling?: Morning sickness is kicking my ass at work.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Idk about most nostalgic but the one that comes to mind right away is Jesse's Girl. I remember it being done karaoke at a lot of my friends birthday parties. We thought we were clever changing the words.

Any appointments? Questions?: we had our first ultrasound and appt last week. It was great! Next up is two weeks from now

Rants/Raves?: I went to a wedding over the weekend with DH and a few of our close guy friends. I wasn't doing a very good job of fake drinking, and they caught on quick, but weren't being nuisances about it. I ended up confirming to them I was pregnant, and they were happy, but again, not annoying/just let it go. Rave to guy friends.

How are you feeling?: I seem to be running on a 2 days on, 2 days off kind of schedule. Thankfully I was "off" this weekend and felt fantastic, almost forgetting at times that I was pregnant. Last night it the "on" hit, and I was queasy and lost my appetite. Today at work I'm very sluggish and feeling gross with nausea and headaches. Just want to be home, wrapped up in blankets, watching TV.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? It's really random. My family had a lake house growing up and sometimes when we had bread going stale, we'd rip pieces off and feed them to the ducks, who swam over to the docks around sunset after most of the boats were in for the night. One of our parents filmed my siblings and me feeding the ducks. We just had baths and are in our pajamas. The sun is setting and we're just quietly feeding the ducks, happy as can be. In the background, the song "Hey Nineteen" by Steely Dan is playing. It's a really nice memory and we used to watch our home videos a lot growing up, and now as an adult, whenever I hear the song I always think about that moment.

Due date/W+D: May 8th, 8+5

Baby is the size of a(n): Gummy Bear

Any appointments? Questions?: I have another u/s on the 15th, OB appt on 10/24, and then First Trimester Screening scheduled for 10/29

Rants/Raves?: They found a cyst on my left ovary during my first u/s (never had one before that I know of), and now I can feel it all the time. If I lay/sit a certain way, I get pain. I'm tempted to call this week and see if they can squeeze in an extra u/s just to check and make sure all is well. But I'm raving because we leave for a trip to NYC on Saturday! Though, I'm terrified I won't get to enjoy all the wonderful food bc I'll be worried about my stomach, but pizza has been my biggest craving, so I'm going to the right place!

How are you feeling?: I'm just still so exhausted. I swear I feel like I have to sit down after 5 minutes of doing anything. I don't really have my nausea anymore, but most food upsets my stomach in other ways. I'm also already dealing with sciatica pain and mental fog.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Life's a Dance by John Michael Montgomery. Can I just say all 90's country?? It's the soundtrack to my childhood. It all brings back memories of eating popsicles and running through sprinklers.

@mrskoz428 right there with you about constantly eating to ward off the nausea. I eat like 3 breakfasts

I keep protein bars on me just in case. Depending on your aversions, might be helpful to keep something in your purse. Also, that morning sickness tea helps because I'm getting fluids and it has ginger. Fx for a comfortable week ahead for you.

*lurking from group 3* @GeorgiaGirl1230 I had a cyst last pregnancy and it completely went away between my 8 and 13 week ultrasounds. I remember googling it like crazy and being worried but if your OB wasn't worried, I'm sure it's fine. If it was big enough they wanted to keep an eye on it, they would've scheduled a follow up. Obviously if it seriously bothers you, that's a different story.

@vl_16 yep! Thankfully, I’m a teacher but I ate a donut and a muffin in front of my kids today. 😂 and I had breakfast pizza this morning. And tacos at lunch. So, I should be making up the weight loss from the stomach flu soon. 😂😂

That's good to hear @kvh22! I should just trust them as they said it was no big deal at all. They said sometimes they even help support a pregnancy (no idea how, but I'll take that as good news). But when you've met your family medical deductible for the year, you find reasons to go in! lol. No, but I don't want to worry. I feel like we've gotten to a good place now that we had a reat first u/s, and I should just trust that things will be fine.

How are you feeling?: I'm okay. Sicky, anxious, a little depressed I think because I'm not doing much.

Build me up buttercup. It reminds me of a friend who passed, we used to sing it together at random times. I sang it to my son when he was a baby and it consoled him every time he cried (it was freaky, actually).

Rants/Raves?: I haven't even been able to come on this board most of the week because just thinking about me or anyone else being pregnant is triggering my nausea.

How are you feeling?: Like death. I have been sick as a dog all week. I hate food, I hate the way everything smells, I just want to lay down and sleep all day and night. I really hope to return to realm of the living soon. I do feel somewhat better today.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Tom Petty / Free Fallin'. When I was about 14 the object of my (unrequited) affection was driving me somewhere, alone, and this song came on. I will never forget the way he cranked it up, rolled down all the windows (middle of winter in Alaska- cold as balls), and just belted every word. This song encompasses every thing about being a teenager for me- the anxiety, the hopefulness. I would play it over and over and imagine that it was about me. Even though nothing ever happened between me and my crush, I still crank this song every time I hear it. It takes me back every single time.

Due date/W+D: May 10th, 8 w 3 d Baby is the size of a(n): Raspberry Any appointments? Questions?: Just had my first ultrasound today and saw the heart beat! So exciting! Rants/Raves?: I am so food adverse right now, and it is not fun. Kraft Macaroni and cheese is pretty much the only thing I eat. I have been super tired and not doing any house work. Sorry hubby and 2 year old DS How are you feeling?: See above.... GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? I can think of two that make me stop in my tracks— although I really like @misskimsue ‘s “free falling”. :-) For me, it’s “I just don’t think I’ll ever get over you.” By Colin Day. It’s like a tear jerking, crying in the bathroom type song about lost love. I am kinda into feeling big feelings so it really matched the way I felt after a break up. I also love “the house that built me” performed by Miranda Lambert because I moved around a lot when I was a kid.

Rants/Raves?: It’s snowed 4 times already and I am choosing to embrace it! Oh, Canada! Also it’s my birthday Thursday and my friends wedding same day should be a great week!

How are you feeling?: I switched to maternity bras even though it’s early and why didn’t I do this sooner? So much more comfortable. Nausea is runining me so now I’m now on medication for it.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? It changes really but the most recent is Duck Tales, the good old days.

Any appointments? Questions?: After 3 rescheduled appointments, I have my second ultrasound on Wednesday at 7:15 AM. Ugh.

Rants/Raves?: My hormones are all over the place; currently super annoyed with some of my colleagues for no apparent reason. Lol.

How are you feeling?: Horrible. Nausea is on overdrive and, like some of you, eating is a temporary fix. This is my first pregnancy and have no clue what to expect, so I'm thankful that I am not alone in those symptoms. (I even googled [at 2 a.m. when I couldn't sleep from nausea] if actually throwing up would relieve the sensation, only to find that the relief would be temporary...a whole 30 mins). Before pregnancy my DH would tease me about my "super sniffer" but now, in pregnancy, it's like I have a bionic nose. I can't smell ANYTHING without feeling queasy. Today at work someone sprayed a lavender mist and I almost threw up...I had to leave work early I couldn't handle it.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Two come to mind: "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd and "Me and my Bobby McGee" by Janis Joplin.

It's really helpful to "see" others feeling the way I do. Now, here's hoping these symptoms pass SOON, please.

Due date/W+D: I guess I'm going with LMP EDD of 5/12 now because bean measured 8+1 at my scan today.

Any appointments? Questions?: I had a scan today to just make sure everything is okay since we're flying across the country on Thursday for a family wedding. Everything looked great! Babe measured 8+1, which is actually a day ahead of where s/he measured at our previous scan.

Rants/Raves?: I'm relieved that everything looked okay. Also rant: I puked for the first time this pregnancy last night. We had philly cheesesteaks for dinner, which for some reason were 100x greasier than they usually are from this place, and it didn't sit well with me at all. So I puked triggered by brushing my teeth. UGH. The worst.

How are you feeling?: Not good. I had a scan today and my NP wrote me a script for zofran since the diclegis doesn't seem to be doing a great job. I'm really hoping it works because I don't know how I'm going to survive traveling and the wedding this weekend with this nausea the way it is.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Gosh, I feel like there are a lot. Anything Incubus pre-2005 reminds me of the end of high school.

Rants/Raves?: Rant: busy weekend ahead. I hope I can survive!

How are you feeling?: Like just about everyone else, I am nauseated every day all day. As in, I get zero relief. I've been taking "naps" in my car in the afternoon. I eat all day and it doesn't really give me any relief so maybe I shouldn't continue this path of constantly stuffing my face.

Due date/W+D: 05/08, 8w6d’s but LO was measuring a week ahead at my u/s last week. We shall see if my dr changes the date again. Was originally 4/25.

Rants/Raves?: I’m tired of feeling out of breath from just taking a shower or walking across the room

How are you feeling?: see rant. Some days better than others but still feeling yucky. The smell of cooking bacon almost made me throw up yesterday.

GTKY: What song is most nostalgic for you? Fleetwood Mac, Landslide. Reminds me of photography class in HS. My teacher loved to play 70’s music in class.

Any appointments? Questions?: Dating ultrasound tomorrow, finally!

Rants/Raves?: They are filming something next to my work and there is a generator going right outside the window and the exhaust has been filtering through all day and it's making me so nauseated. Ugh.

How are you feeling?: Crappy. Exhausted. No idea how I'll make it through the work day every single day without a nap. So far I'm more or less managing to stay awake and upright, though I did have a little lie down on Friday when no one else was around! Nausea could be worse, I know a lot of others are struggling with it a lot more than me, but I just feel gross constantly, and wake up with a stomach ache every single morning.

How are you feeling?: on and off nauseas eating helps and it sort of comes in waves. Tired too.

@kbelly777 I'm doing progesterone oil shots (intramuscular). Definitely less messy than the suppositories, but...shots in the butt every day. 🤷‍♀️ Don't know which is worse.

@thebobloblaw my doctor had me stop progesterone at 8 weeks. She said there was no need for it past then unless an IVF pregnancy. I hate how all these doctors vary on this. I need hard and concrete! Lol

Yeah that is weird and annoying. I suppose if there’s no risk to taking it maybe some prescribe longer just to be on the safe side even if it’s maybe not necessary?

I went to my appointment yesterday and my dr said I could stop the progesterone suppositories. I'm 9 weeks today and the baby measured right on track with a heartbeat of 169. I'm excited to be done with the mess, but I have to admit, stopping them makes me nervous for some reason.

@thebobloblaw and @journey721 I agree with the frustration over differing doctor's orders.
