Meeeee! 30-week appointment on Wednesday, first of the every-2-weekers. Weight is right on track again thanks to this Whole30...hopefully constipation doesn’t derail me again
I’ll also get blood drawn to check for iron levels and syphilis. Not sure about any sort of shots, I guess I’ll ask. I still haven’t gone in for flu shots for me and the Bub but I’ve been meaning to. #lazy

I have my 28 three hour glucose test on Tuesday. I passed at 14 weeks but will be shocked if I pass again. I also have my 28 week appointment on Wednesday.
@morgantu It’s getting real! I am going to go in Friday or Saturday my GD test and my RH blood screen. My 28 week appointment isn’t until next Monday, but I have to do the bloodwork 48-72 hours before because they are unsure if I will need RhoGam again, since I just had it in March.
I have my appointment with my midwife on Thursday, after this appointment it's every two weeks. I want to remember to ask if baby girl is head down, because it sure as heck feels like it.
I have my GD test on Saturday.
@PensiveCrayon I am waiting for my midwife to mention the flu shot. I am assuming they will at my appointment this week, and the tdap. I can't remember when I got that with DS.

@PensiveCrayon re: lazy around flu shots — me too. I just realized yesterday I need to bring DD in for hers, and it’s a new office, so potentially extra hassle. Ugh.
Thursday I have PT for my hip, growth US, and 28 week OB visit.
I’m definitely curious for the US confirmation of her position, but pretty sure she head down since 26 weeks. And I always love getting to see her move around. The OB visit is routine except getting my flu shot. Not sure when they will do the Tdap. Honestly I’m almost as excited for the PT visit because I’m really tired of my hip joint acting up and had to wait 2 weeks for this appointment. Last time I had the same issue and 2-3 sessions of PT did wonders.
This isn't technically a medical appointment, but we're getting a 3D/4D ultrasound at one of those boutique places on Tuesday. I'm really excited to see what my little nugget actually looks like. I'm thinking just like my husband lol.
@katy0990 I’m sure they’ll give you another rhogam ... they’re only good for 12 weeks. Lucky us!! When I got mine it burned more than I remember the with the others I’ve had.
AFM- Regular checkup on Thursday and I’ll get my flu shot if they’re in yet. Already got my Tdap which made my arm sore for almost a week and also burned! Blah. It’s like my pain tolerance is gone which is not good news for this Momma who doesn’t want drugs during delivery. Eeek!
Hope everything with growth ultrasounds and GD tests has good results this week!
@countrygirl624 Apparently it is not recommended to have it too many times during the same pregnancy, so I’ll for sure get it after delivery, but the 28 week one is up in the air. I was surprised when my doctor mentioned that I may get out of it.
@binxybaby UO/FFMC: I think 3d/4d ultrasounds are uber creepy lol and I want nothing to do with them
Same. At one of my earlier ultrasounds, the tech printed out a 3D image along with some of the regular images. So creepy!!
Yep. I always scroll past them in the US thread lol.
Good luck to everyone doing their GD tests!! FX you all pass!
Had my first every 2 weeks appointment today! Makes everything feel like it's moving so much faster!! Everything this morning went well, just a regular check up and me asking questions! Plus shots, flu and tdap, one in each arm.
I have a meeting with the diabetic educator this afternoon. Super interested to see what my blood sugar is like with my normal low-carb eating style. If the blood sugar is high with that eating style, I don't know what I'll do! Then I have an appointment with my midwife on Friday to follow up about the GD after having a few days to test levels.
@katzalia@Jens_Hoes@CecilB93 lol i think it looks like one of those penny press things you can get at an amusement park. here's your baby's face, smooshed into a penny!
@katzalia@Jens_Hoes@CecilB93 lol i think it looks like one of those penny press things you can get at an amusement park. here's your baby's face, smooshed into a penny!
@morgantu yes! So smooshed and creepy. I know some people love those images, but I have a visceral shudder.
@morgantu I hope the pediatrician is an easy decision. When I called around and asked if I could meet/ interview the doctors, people acted like I was crazy. I guess that's not a thing here. I just picked one based on reviews and location. Hopefully he's a good doctor. Otherwise i guess we'll change after our first appointment.
Afm, no appointments this week. I think next week (or maybe even the week after) they pick back up.
@scaredunprepared it was good, thanks for asking! We are only going to 2, based on the recommendations of 2 friends I trust. H and I both liked today's Dr, so we will be happy with her unless the one next week Is super amazing:)
Ladies I think the three hour test is going to be the end of me....
I did a three hour at 14 weeks and I don’t remember feeling this bad. I fear that means I am failing. I had GD last time so it wouldn’t be shocking. Just hoping I can hold it down so I don’t have to repeat this archaic test.
I have my 30 week appointment tomorrow. I'll be going over my blood sugar readings from the last week with my dr and am curious what she says and what I'll have to do moving forward. They have been OK for the most part with a couple of ones above what the ladies on the GD thread say are their guidelines. I had one fasting reading over 95 (only 96), but I also had a reading of 78. I've also had a couple of post-meal readings hovering right around 70 and a couple that are at or above 120. So they're kind of all over the place. I've been keeping track of my food too and I haven't detected a pattern yet. I'm hoping the dr will let me continue to self-monitor, but do it less frequently.
I have my 32w appointment tomorrow morning. I haven't weighed myself in a while am not looking forward to that. Otherwise just hoping for a quick & eventless appointment!
My husband agrees with you ladies about how creepy the 3D/4D ultrasounds are. I don't think he totally wants to go tonight, but ah well. He'll have fun.
Had an appointment with my OB yesterday. I was so surprised how high she had to go to measure fundal height. She was all, "way up under your lungs, that must be comfortable /s" and I was all, "really?!" because i never feel this kid that high at all. Talked to her about a plan to start anti-depressants once the baby is born. Basically pre-emptive at this point, but given the shit I've got going on, I want to be ready so that it doesn't get out ahead of me. Felt like a productive appointment.
Also, yes. 3D/4D ultrasounds are weird. Babies are so much cuter once they're out. Definitely something I'm will to be patient for.
@LLynde5 I took the 3-hour at 28 weeks and felt mostly, totally fine during the thing (well, except for getting the drink down - that freaking sucked). Aaaand I have GD. So, fx you're good!
Oh man, I’m sorry @hoosiermama-2. I had it with my DD and know the struggle. By my second hour I was feeling better but after I ate lunch I literally crashed. I feel asleep for almost two hours. Not great for the work load I am carrying. I should be working right now that DD is sleeping and DH is out of town again!!
I had a 28 week growth ultrasound. Baby boy is looking great but since I complained about less movement than I have been feeling, they had me do a non stress test. Everything was all good!
I had my 30 week appointment today and everything looks fine. My dr says my blood sugar levels look pretty good. I'm going to just keep testing fasting levels in the morning since most of those were pretty close to the cutoff (and over in one case). It'll be nice to not have to worry about testing during the day! I've also been steadily gaining 1 lb per week for a while and if I keep going at this rate I will stay under 35lb gain total. I was hoping for just 25 lb gain... but since I'm already up 22.5 lb it doesn't look like that's going to happen lol.
I will post on the ultrasound thread once I get a good photo scanned in, but baby boy was doing well at my 3D/4D. I can't say happy and healthy because he seemed pretty annoyed with the poking and prodding. He is head down, but also bunched up like a little contortionist. The tech said he has plenty of room and just wants to be squished like that. I have a feeling a postpartum chiropractor visit may be a necessity for my little gymnast.
Oh and he totally looks like he has my husband's mouth, which is fun. I was pretty excited to see he doesn't look like a carbon copy of my husband, but a mix of both of us lol
Had my appointment and it was as uneventful as I was hoping. I didn't gain like I expected, HR was low as babe was napping & I'm going to get a call to schedule a growth A/S as soon as insurance approves.
I am done with appointments for the week. I am a little in shock that I passed my three hour test!! However, I have been put on the GD diet. I only passed by 1 point. so for now, I do not need to do any testing but that could change because this kid is assumed to be a Moose! I am still measuring ahead and my growth scan has been moved up two more weeks to 30 weeks. If my fluid levels are high, I will be consider GD again.
My midwife keep saying what a wonderful baby boy he is!! He was (and is always) super active. She was watching my tummy and couldn’t get over how much movement on the outside she could see! He had a nice steady heart rate of 145 with all of his playing!!
As for weight gain, I am at 11 lbs. I was hoping to not go over 15 again. I have a fit build but am heavy for my height. My midwife said she wouldn’t mind if I gained 20 lbs but I died a little in the inside when I saw the number on the scale. I am kicking myself for starting this pregnancy three lbs heavier than the last plus regaining the 17 lbs I lost after DD. I am hoping this motivates me after this baby to be more consistent.
30 week appointment today. It was pretty uneventful. All of my 28 week labs came back fine, so that’s good. Babe’s heart rate was 148. She said all my swelling is normal (although I don’t remember it starting this early on last pregnancy, but it is exceptionally hot here right now). Also got my flu shot. TDAP & another u/s to check the previa are scheduled 2 weeks from today!
Had my 26w appt today. Nothing too exciting but baby boy is an " over achiever" and is already head down lol. I go for my GT in 2 weeks. My hospital will call me to set up my rhogam shot . I'm a little pissed that I have to go there for the shot because they charge me a hospital visit and was $500 last time. We didn't discuss Tdap or flu shot. I know I have to get them anyway so I may just go ahead and get them. Next appt is right before Halloween and then every 2 weeks.
@LLynde5 I’m glad you passed, but sorry you have to follow the diet. @gorgeousariel you cannot get the RhoGam from your OB? Is there a clinic or lab you can go to?
