Re: Newbie Intro Thread W/O 9/24
TTC: 4 months
WAYDTGKU: BBT, EOD, HIO (I tried OPKs for a few months, but NEVER got a positive OPK. The most I got was a faint line. I read that they're not always accurate, so I moved to BBT tracking)
All About Us: We've been married for almost 4 years. No kids, 2 cats, both working full-time jobs and volunteering on the side. We like to ride bikes and walk in the nature preserve near our house when it's not raining. We love traveling, but are more than ready to put that on hold for baby time.
Age: Me and DH both are 32 yrs old
Months TTC: 3
WAYDTGKU: BBT, prenatals, CoQ10, red raspberry leaf tea, recently started OPK
All about us: We have been married for 3.5 yrs and we love travelling!
Other than that me and DH are big on Indian home cooked food and baking! We love dogs but are still waiting for our first pup!
Hoping to get a BFP real soon!

Ages (you and SO): I’m 29 and husband is 31!
How many months have you been TTC?: Actively trying for 1 month.
What are you doing to get knocked up: prenatals, metformin, charting.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.): I have been with my husband for six years but had a long engagement and just got married last year. We have a sassy pup who has been by my side since college! We like to go off-roading in our Jeep, camping and enjoying nature. I love lifting weights in my free time as well! I was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto’s and PCOS. Endocrinologist has been amazing through everything... I’ve gained a significant amount of weight and she’s put me on metformin to see if that’s the trick for us to conceive and if not she has a plan B-Z.
Diagnosed with PCOS & Hashimoto's
@catheriner523 welcome! It is so frustrating to wait! I think we can all agree about that
@crs89 welcome back!!

You may already know this (sorry if I'm repeating myself from a different thread but I think there are a lot of people out there who may not know this)-my dr told me to take the OPK between 10am and 2pm each day and try not to drink a lot within 2 hrs of taking it. I've also heard some women have a very short surge so you should test 2x a day to prevent from missing it. I always thought you should take the test first thing in the morning, but apparently your body does not create the chemical for this test that early in the day. Also, I'm using cheap ones from amazon (like $20 for 50 opks and 20 pregnancy tests)-just in case you wanted to try again and not spend a fortune!
I’m Kelly (32). We are on cycle 2 of ttc. We have a 3 year old daughter who took a year (13 cycles) to conceive so really hoping things go a little quicker this time! I didn’t really chart anything last cycle but I’m attempting to temp and using opks this time. Just really hoping to find some people to share this crazy stuff with! DH and a couple of my doctors are the only ones who know so it’s hard to keep it all to myself!
