As I was asking a coworker if he was going to send me the updated slide for this afternoon’s presentation that I emailed him about Thursday and received no response he says to me, I think something is wrong with your left eye. I said excuse me? He said - do you have a lazy eye? I do not have a lazy eye and if I did I would be equally pissed off. I will punch a 50 something man in the face!!! #preggomones

I had to stay home today to take my puppers to the vet. Looks like she has UTI. Poor doggy!

Oh, oh, I have one!!!! I think this will provide everyone with a mix of "poor thing" and "glad it wasn't me". My friend had twins a few weeks back and because of a variety of reasons they delivered one vaginally but had to do a c-section for the other. Everyone is doing great but OUCH! I know people will argue recovery from one is easier than the other but she has to recover from both...at the same time...with twins!

@rcultrona That is officially the most horrifying (non-deadly) birth experience I think I've ever heard. A section after laboring is bad enough, but a section after delivering? Those kids fucking OWE her come Mothers' Day 😂

So I just ordered 4 new born outfits!!! Probably not smart right before my shower but I couldn’t help myself, Carters was running a good sale and I had a coupon. 3 of the 4 outfits are all Christmas/winter themed so I figure no one is getting me any of those. And the other one is soooo cute!! It’s a pink onesie that says “Daddy’s Little Girl” and has green cameo pants with hearts on them!!! My husband is an avid hunter so I had to!!! I figure worse case I can exchange them for something else as I will be living in Carter’s for the foreseeable future!

Looking forward to a low key ish week here now that DH is home. I have turned the reins over to him and plopped my butt on the couch. It was a lonnnng 2.5 weeks and I'm so drained! I do have a dentist appointment on Wednesday for a cleaning... yuck.

I haven't actually said it to anyone, but I'm definitely looking forward to (hopefully) ebf poops since we'll be doing cloth! So over cleaning poop out of my sons underwear because he refuses to poop in the toilet

Saaaame on the EBF poops! I remember being annoyed that they weren’t as sweet-smelling as everyone was claiming they were, but boy oh boy, then we got onto solids. Unfortunately we’re nowhere near potty training, so I’ll just be having to deal with both at the same time

Speaking of poop, man, I am more than ready to go home (we fly back today). My son’s diapers keep getting more and more heinous with each passing day here in Indiana. I have no idea what’s bugging him, but hopefully things will straighten out once we get back to AL. Yesterday he had a poop so bad it smelled like something had crawled into his diaper and died in there.

I really don’t want to work and I actually really like my job. Instead I want to be at home, resting on the couch, watching whatever tv show I want! And maybe even taking a nap, going for a run, and taking a bath... I don’t know the last time I took a bath as we have a shower and never use our bath tub.

@Activebaby I'm with you on that. We are busy at work, I do really like my job, but I don't want to be here lately. I took a me day last Friday, but I need more of a me month, at least a week.

Just found out some info, peeps!

Remember how The Bump used to give us size comparisons to fun things, but then it stopped? Apparently that feature was in beta and only featured size comparisons up to Week 20 or so. So, they didn't discontinue the size comparisons...they let me know that they are trying to add it to the second 20 weeks so maybe we'll get a few more weeks of the comparisons nearer the end of our pregnancies.

Oh - I just read something on FB that made me close the tab. Someone in a local group asked about date night suggestions that weren't bars. Okay, normal enough. I reply with my suggestions, and now get notifications of that thread. No big deal. Someone suggests going to neighboring town's homecoming this weekend. Be advised that the local group is for military families so the likelihood of any of us going to high school here are very slim.

Who the eff wants to spend their date night surrounded by high schoolers? Is it just me, or is that the worst date night suggestion in the history of the universe? I'd much rather pluck my toe hair.

Afm, I just got my first baby shower gift! Someone ordered something from Amazon that we didn't register for. Not sure if I want to keep it or not (it's a rnp). If I return it, will they be notified? It came with a gift tag..... anyone know?

Sooo - hubby and I toured our first daycare today. We both really liked the place, I drive past it to and from work every day and my husband went to school with the Asst. Director (small world!). I think we’ll check out one more just to say we did ... price was surprisingly lower than I was anticipating (still insanely expensive!). I think the reality of baby is really setting in for hubby now ... he said, I can’t believe I’m having a baby! Pretty sure that was me a couple months ago! Hahahaha! I’m just glad I finally have a real number to plan to - now to get that promotion to help pay for daycare!!

@morgantu yay for getting your first baby shower gift, boo it's not something you registered for. Why take the time to make a registry if people aren't going to even look at it? I got a complaint today from a family member (through my mom) that nothing on my registry is "expensive enough" for people to go in on jointly...? What? Who complains about that??? We have most of the big things already. If you really want to get us something big, put together a basket of smaller items...or buy the graco 4ever extend to fit... that's expensive! There's options, people! My mom wants me to register for more expensive things now...but we don't want extra crap! Our house is tiny!

@countrygirl624 that's awesome you think you found your daycare. If it feels right, I say go for it!

Here's my random for the day. I ordered a whole bunch of Christmas gifts for the immediate nuclear family (including myself because I know my H and I've given up being offended that I have to buy myself gifts) and most of it was here when I arrived home today. The problem is, I want to read & use it all, but instead I have to wrap it and forget about it for the next three months!

(Uhh yeah. Three months exactly. Wow. I literally just realized that.)

Aaaaand that's why I made us three registries! Target for $ to $$ spending, Pottery Barn for $$$ to $$$$ spending, and Amazon for all price points. Surprisingly, the Amazon registry has been the least used, but it's the one that I prefer (I'll remind folks about it in the holiday cards this year).

@PensiveCrayon Oh, we are three months out! I need to brain about a nice anniversary gift for DH, I mean...besides a son (our anniversary is 12/25

). I need to work on general gifts too, so I can get everything wrapped and ready to ship before December.

@echo-charlietango I have 3 registries too...BUYBUYBABY, Amazon, and Target. I have a private registry at pottery barn. Guess I should have made that one public after all! I only have that one because I loved all the HP stuff and thought I might splurge later and wanted the discount Lol

People are crazy and will always find something to complain about.

@echo-charlietango I registered at Pottery Barn and Target too! And no one has bought me a single thing off the Pottery Barn registry! And I have sheets on there for like $24 ... guessing I have a lot of gift cards coming my way as even the Target one has only 11 items purchased. Guess I’ll find out Saturday!!

@Activebaby Me tooooo. I like my job, but I just can't get up the energy to be productive or excited to be here recently. Then I get home, and I'm organizing and cleaning and crafting and being sooooo productive. I just don't understand. I organized ALL the baby stuff we have so far into the nursery/closet yesterday and I thought that'd take me like a week.

Re: registries: I'm using babylist so I can have stuff from all the places on it at all price points. I know a few small things were bought be a former colleague and I'm getting brunch with her in a month... so I'm waiting eagerly since they haven't come in the mail. Haha!

And OMG, 3 months till Christmas. I really need to go get gifts and wrap them. With a Dec. 20 due date.... I definitely need to get it all done way ahead of time!

She's also bought a lot of PB stuff that I didn't register for - but I am happy she got. Specifically an ultra-soft little blanket with velvet borders and the *softest* fitted crib sheets in the universe.
