2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I was hoping that nausea and exhaustion would start to taper off as I got closer to second tri but I guess not! I stayed up late to watch two baseball games this weekend (Fri/Sat) and I felt legit like I had a hangover on Sunday. Couldn't get off the couch except to get a smoothie.
3. Any appointments this week? Leaving for my NT in about 40 minutes!
4. How are you feeling? Crummy. Nervous about my appointment.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Embarrassingly - basically nothing. I have had next to zero energy, plus nausea and on and off migraines are really holding me back.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? I don't watch a lot of TV other than sports, but I love Top Chef - I wonder if that's coming back. Also Bob's Burgers!

3. Any appointments this week? I have my genetic testing today. I get to meet my new OB for the first time.
4. How are you feeling? Still have frequent nausea, heartburn, and tension headaches. TMJ seems to come and go.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? I have a grand plan of doing 10 minute Prenatal Yoga series but haven't had the energy or will to pick them up again since M/S hit at 6 weeks.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? I don't usually watch shows until they are available to binge on Netflix.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? The nausea and fatigue keep getting worse! Week 10 is the worst so far. My body keeps threatening to barf, I'm holding back.
3. Any appointments this week? OB/Midwife appt on Thursday!
4. How are you feeling? Great, aside from the horrible nausea and fatigue and inability to do much in a day.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? I don't exercise much beyond taking care of my farm animals, so I'm doing that. Walking up and down the hills carrying feed buckets is great exercise.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? I'm with you @eli_belle, I also don't watch things until they're on Netflix, but because it's fall they just released the final season of Call the Midwife!! I started it this weekend and hope to finish this week.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? AHHHH I had some spotting again today & it's sent my pgal anxiety through the roof.
3. Any appointments this week? Nope
4. How are you feeling? Still exhausted. Nausea is less prominent but still comes in waves, though not as strong of waves.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Uhm, ideally I would be doing yoga & biking. In reality I don't do much beyond some hip opening stretches.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Add me to team streaming, lol. I don't really watch much TV, though I have been watching this season of AHS.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I don't want to wish away time, but I'm ready for 2nd trimester. That is all.
3. Any appointments this week? I had my first appointment and dating scan last Wednesday. Measuring right on track and so far everything looks good. I'll be going in next week for NT scan; looking forward to seeing baby again!
4. How are you feeling? Better. Not so much nausea anymore. I'm still exhausted though.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Does walking count? Recently got a fitbit and have been trying to keep my step count up. I really need to be doing more though.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Really the only thing I ever regularly watch as it airs is This Is Us. I'm just not sure if pregnant me will be able to handle it this season.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I can still suck in my stomach a little bit but I still look pregnant. I finally broke down and told HR this week, just waiting to hear back what the deal is since I started on 8/1.
3. Any appointments this week? Nope, next week.
4. How are you feeling? Tired mostly but man, nausea is kicking my butt from about 3:00-4:00 on. Makes the evenings crappy.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? I run after kids all day at school and I run after my toddler in the evening and weekends. Between my new job and less food, I've lost 6 pounds (which I know my OB won't like). I get in plenty of steps. And to be honest, I don't feel like working out.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Madam Secretary, This Is Us, and the ones I want to see if I like are: The Resident, Single Parents, and A Million Little Things. (We love fall TV).
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I’ve had at least 5 dreams telling me I’m having a boy and two dreams saying I’m having twins. It’s definitly not twins, but I’m crossing my fingers and toes that it is a boy. When I was pregnant with DD I had lots of dreams where she was a girl before I found out her sex. So I’m curious to see if my dreams are still true!
3. Any appointments this week? Nope
4. How are you feeling? Extremely nauseaous. I’m out of my diclegis so I walk around with a ziplock bag ready to throw up at any moment.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Um kegels when I remember....
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Does Below Deck have a fall season? That’s the only show I watched before I started taking night classes. I graduate sometime in the next two weeks so I’m hoping I can start watching that again!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? @mrstmoose, I also broke the news to my job this past Friday, and got the best possible reaction I could have hoped for. I don't have to worry about my position being eliminated, I'll be able to take 3 months off, work the first month back half remote/half on-site, AND they want to make me a full time employee when I come back. That was about the biggest weight on my shoulders so I am so relieved!
3. Any appointments this week? No appointments until 10/5 (nuchal scan) but my NIPT came back Friday and we're having a healthy baby girl!
4. How are you feeling? Still puking just about every day. Seems like I retch in the morning and then deal with waves of nausea from about 3pm-bedtime. I'm over first tri just like everyone else.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? LOL @harveyisaboysname same
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? This is Us, SouthPark, Grey's- all my Hulu staples
@harveyisaboysname So due to a combination of primary care/pharmacist incompetence I wasn't able to fill my prescription for Diclegis; HOWEVER it turns out it's literally just Unisom sleep tabs (specific ones though, they make 2 types and one is the pregnancy safe one that's in Diclegis... pregnancy brain I can't tell you which right now, but Google can!) and vitamin B6 that make up the pills, both of which you can get for very cheap over the counter, so I've been taking that!
@harveyisaboysname I agree, thanks for the kegels reminder! I've been meaning to do them and keep forgetting. Hope you're right about the dreams as well.
Bah! I just got back from my 11 week appointment. The doc wasn't able to find a heartbeat using the doppler, although she said she heard the baby moving around. I know it is still really early for the doppler, and my doc wasn't worried at all (said my uterus is growing right on track)...but still. Not feeling quite as reassured as I'd like. Especially since my next appointment isn't for another 4 weeks. I suppose I will just have to take solace in my constant nausea and trust that everything is okay. Can we be done with first trimester yet? Looking forward to being able to feel the baby moving around.
I have the dumbest question you guys, but why do you take sleeping medication? I'm just ignorant, not judgmental at all, I know that B6 helps nausea, but I can't wrap my head around what sleeping tablets do.. and people over on facebook are saying they take them all day long.. doesn't the fatigue just make everything worse?
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I'm just eager for my next appointment. I saw baby at 7 weeks and again at 8 weeks for a dating ultrasound, and now this just feels like a looooong stretch (even though I know it's normal). We still haven't told ANYONE and are waiting for our next appointment to do so (might tell right after, might tell a week later when we get the NIPT results and sex) - and I'm dying to start spreading the news!
3. Any appointments this week? None until October 8
4. How are you feeling? Pretty okay. My symptoms (nausea, fatigue, food aversions/craving, crazy dreams) are still present, but more mild than they were previously. So I can't complain!
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? LOLOLOLOLOLOL. (That's mostly just me trolling myself - I walk a LOT as part of my commute, and I keep up with physical therapy exercises almost as much as I should. But I could and should be doing lots more.)
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Sadly, I'm totally out of the TV loop. More sadly, the thing I'm most excited about TV-wise... is the return of Teen Mom OG I started watching all the Teen Moms while I was out on maternity leave with my daughter and now I can't stop - it is 100% my guiltiest pleasure!
@wildcosmiclove Thinking of you and hoping the spotting stops soon (if it hasn't already).
@chrissdee Yay for a good appointment! And walking totally counts. I wore a Fitbit my entire last pregnancy and I thought I was soooooo cool for having beat 10,000 steps the day before going into labor lol, I bragged about it to whoever would listen.
@sheknows6 Yaaaaay to good work news! That has to be such an overwhelming relief!!!
@eli_belle I'm so sorry you weren't able to hear a heartbeat, and I can imagine how stressful that felt for you. If your doctor isn't worried, that has to be your bottom line - LO is okay, and that's all that matters! I hope you're able to hear it soon though - and boy, am I ready to feel baby kicking around, too!
@kaleesi93 Lol, I wonder the same thing you do. I know that people say it works - I just don't fully understand HOW it works.
@kaleesi93 the unisom is a sleep-aid, but it also contains doxylamine succinate which is a sleep aid and an anti-nausea med. If you have bad morning sickness to where just taking it at night doesn't help throughout the whole next day, you can take the unisom in the morning and afternoon too. You'll be drowsy for a day or two while you adjust but after that it wouldn't make you sleepy since you'd be taking it regularly.
Not a stupid question because I wondered the same thing! I take the combo at night before bed and that carries me pretty well throughout the day, so I don't take it during the day. But I know a lot of people who have to.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I feel SO grateful as I still have no nausea and am not exhausted. It’s still so weird to me since my first two pregnancies kicked my butt.
3. Any appointments this week? None this week. Our viability ultrasound went well last week. Heartbeat is strong and baby is measuring on track. We have another appointment in a week exactly.
4. How are you feeling? Amazing! Again, I don’t take this for granted. Besides the fact that my whole house has a terrible cold. I’m lucky that I have very minor cold symptoms. Just feel a little under the weather.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Every time I see the word “kegels” I start to do them haha. Otherwise just chasing and playing with my 2 year old and 1 year old. I always promise to start working out (post partum, pregnant, whenever) and I always fail miserably.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? This Is Us. Love the show since I’m biracial and adopted into a white family. I have met my biological family since last season which is so weird. Now I’ll watch it with new eyes. Hubs wants to watch The Good Doctor and New Amsterdam as well
I have the dumbest question you guys, but why do you take sleeping medication? I'm just ignorant, not judgmental at all, I know that B6 helps nausea, but I can't wrap my head around what sleeping tablets do.. and people over on facebook are saying they take them all day long.. doesn't the fatigue just make everything worse?
I started off taking half a unisom and a b6 at night to help with my nausea but it didn't hold me through the next day. Even half a pill made me pass out at night. No way I would be able to function if I took it during the day. Luckily I was able to get a prescription for diclegis which has the same active ingredients but the key is that it is released slowly over time. I am pretty lethargic most days but hard to tell if that is the diclegis or just pregnancy, lol.
B6 alone did not even touch my nausea. I'm not sure why a sedative helps but it works for me.
Diclegis can be very expensive depending on whether your insurance will cover it so I can totally see why some people would "make" their own especially when both of the ingredients are easily purchased over the counter.
Oh okay thank you @sheknows6@mrstmoose@eli_belle that makes much more sense!! Insomnia is definitely no fun, at first I think it was just hormones and all but someone on facebook just said their doctor told them insomnia after the first few weeks can be caused by a protein deficiency, and I was thinking about how much protein I actually eat with meat aversions and the answer is hardly any so I'm going to get some protein and bone broth powder and add it to my shakes and hopefully that will help.. I'm the unluckiest person with sedatives/sleep aids/antihistamines
*Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I don't think so
*Any appointments this week? On Thursday
*How are you feeling? Tired and achy, slowly simmering all day nausea is better if I force myself to wake up early and eat, which is lame because I have aversions to all the food and hate eating anything before noon
*What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? HIIT with my bf and random bloom/YouTube mini workouts
*It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? I'm excited for Daredevil s3 to come out on netflix next month. I only have HBOgo, netflix and VRV subscriptions so no cable
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I love complaining about how cold my office is, but it’s now working out for me. I live in a fleece at work, which should help me hide this belly for a bit longer
3. Any appointments this week? None this week. OB and NT next week
4. How are you feeling? Still pretty tired and always hungry
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Walking. Want to start prenatal yoga next week
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? The Good Place!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? I keep waking up with a headache and it's driving me crazy
3. Any appointments this week? Not for another 2 weeks
4. How are you feeling? Tired, back pain, restless
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? I haven't because of the nausea I've been super lazy but I need to get back on track. I think I'm gonna try picking up Pilates again for my back pain
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Manifest!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? Is anyone elses hunger just out of control? Doing my best to ignore the urge to eat everything in my house haha. I gained 60lbs with my last pregnancy but lost it all plus some breastfeeding and going completely dairy free for my son for a year. Hoping not to gain that much this time!
3. Any appointments this week? No but i have some oct 1! I have my 12w ultrasound and nipt blood draw. And also my 12w ob appt.
4. How are you feeling? So much better!
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Does chasing and lifting my toddler count? Haha nah, ive also been doing some weekly hiking.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Like @ashtuesday , teen mom is my guilty pleasure haha
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? Since these will be our first babies I'm so keen on nesting and buying all the things we would need at home before the babies come. I know it's still early, but we really have nothing (well we have a stroller now because I found a great deal on a second hand one that we got lol) and maybe I'm just a crazy planning freak, but I feel like I need to have things around me that kind of reminds me that this is actually going to happen. Anyone recognize the feeling?
3. Any appointments this week? Nothing until October 10th
4. How are you feeling? My nausea has been more managable over the last week, but I still get bad food aversions waves of nausea from time to time. I'm lucky to work from home at the moment so I can easily take a rest if I need to though. My breast are still hurting a bit and the top of my belly is starting to grow/tense up. It's weird that I can't quite see my belly button from above anymore.
We're going to a wedding this weekend (and the next weekend too!) so I'm a little worried about not feeling so great at night time, but I hope I'll be able to push through and enjoy two big parties!
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? I'm trying to get in a lot of walking (sometimes I walk/jog for 30 min) and we live right next to a beautiful park, so that's a good motivation. I have been doing yoga as well, but not so much since I started feeling nauseous a lot - hoping to get started again.
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? Thank you guys for reminding me that This Is Us is back, and premiering tonight even! Love that show, but I'm so bad at keeping track of when new seasons start. Besides that, excited to see if there's anything new I might like, but nothing found so far.
@MRDCle I'm glad to hear your babies are doing well! Did they do any extra checks because they were twins? How long did it take?
@sheepshepherdess taking care of farm animals founds like the best exercise! So jealous! I wish I had a farm!
@ashtuesday I'm in the same boat - haven't seen the babies since Sept 3rd and really can't wait for our US on the 15th of October. Still fells like an eternity until then.
@mamma_swede my US was about 15 minutes and then 5 minutes to talk to the doc. I'll be going in a lot though in the future! Is your appointment on the 10th just a general OB appointment or an US?
@mamma_swede I think a small farm might have made more sense for retirement but we're loving it. I definitely know the feeling. I'm already shopping for clothes and stuffed animals (stupid investment but I can't help it). Organizing the house like mad when I don't feel nauseous. I just bought a pregnancy/nursing pillow and that sitting on the bed makes it very real! Hope you can have fun at the weddings, sounds like a good time if you feel good.
@MRDCle That sounds quick, but I guess that just means things looked good . I'm doing bloodworks and glucose test (diebetes risk is apparently higher with twins...) on the 10th and then US on the 15th.
@sheepshepherdess I know, I want to buy all the cute clothes! I'm trying to restrain myself and buy second hand as well. They have a lot of great kids-stuff-flea-markets where people can sell their things in our city, so I have been told to get things there. Also I'm picking up my pillow from the mail tomorrow!! Hoping it will improve sleep comfort somewhat.
@eli_belle Ugh, I wish they would've done an ultrasounds for you, for reassurance at least. Just remember for LO to be moving around in there though, babe must have a healthy heart! They couldn't get a heartbeat on the doppler with my LO until almost 13.5 weeks with DD.
1. Due date?
April 20th
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group?
I'm not sure how much longer I can hide this bump. =/
3. Any appointments this week?
I had a cardiology appointment this week, I get one each trimester. Everything was fine. No baby appointment until Oct 8.
4. How are you feeling?
Nausea seems to get better and then get worse. I don't need my afternoon naps anymore, and thank goodness, because my toddler thinks she doesn't either....
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing?
LOL... I pulled my toddler in her wagon yesterday...
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching?
Grey's, This is Us, The Resident, and all scary movies!

3. Any appointments this week? Had a checkup last week at 10 weeks and got to hear the heartbeat again, which was a huge relief.
4. How are you feeling? Feeling pretty great, other than being tired. I’ve been on vacation with DH for a week and a half, and we’ve been waking a ton and I’m getting pretty pooped, but otherwise feeling pretty normal. I mentioned to the dr that I’m feeling good and she asked if I was Catholic, so I’m trying to enjoy it and not worry.
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? Walking is about it - I live in a city and try to get 12k steps, and this vacation we’ve been averaging over 20 a day, so hopefully that’s offsetting the daily ice cream...
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? The Good Place!
@MRDCle Top Chef is in Kentucky this season - I think it comes back around December? I absolutely love that show!
@mamma_swede This is my first and I feel the same way - other than the ultrasound pics, there is no tangible proof of a baby on the way. I did just buy a really cute panda bib, so I’m getting started! I think I’ll start doing my research and start buying around the thanksgiving sales

@sheepshepherdess I would say that more than counts for exercise!
@wildcosmiclove hugs on the spotting. Hopefully your anxiety quiets soon.
@chrissdee I think walking counts!
@mrstmoose yeah evening MS stinks.
@harveyisaboysname kegals. Yes. Thanks for the reminder.
@sheknows6 great news on the job!!
@MRDCle So glad it went well!
@sheknows6 Sounds like you have a fantastic employer
@mrstmoose Keep us posted on what HR says, it's always so hard to ask for anything when you've just started.
@chrissdee Walking definitely counts! I need to get a fitbit.
Y’all I learned from my Bradley instructor to buy a pitch counter to track your kegels throughout the day. Amazon has them for pretty cheap!
More sadly, the thing I'm most excited about TV-wise... is the return of Teen Mom OG

Hubs wants to watch The Good Doctor and New Amsterdam as well
@kaleesi93 I take unison because I get insomnia early on in pregnancy. It gets better for me as second trimester approaches.
B6 alone did not even touch my nausea. I'm not sure why a sedative helps but it works for me.
Diclegis can be very expensive depending on whether your insurance will cover it so I can totally see why some people would "make" their own especially when both of the ingredients are easily purchased over the counter.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group? so done with first tri fatigue.
3. Any appointments this week? nothing til mid October
4. How are you feeling? tired and sometimes dizzy...probably from being tired
5. What kind of prenatal exercise(s) are you doing? chasing my 14mo
6. It's Fall Premiere Week! Are there any new shows that you're looking forward to watching? final season of Big Bang. I really don't watch much TV.

2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for this week? Questions for the group?

ETA: ah I see you have an US on the 15th!
