I am currently 8w1d and spotting. I've been spotting since about 5 1/2 and I have had 2 miscarriages in the past. I had an early ultra at about 7 weeks and it showed a heartbeat and appropriate growth (it was 2 days behind but they were not at all concerned by that). Fast forward a week I wake up to a big bloody show in the toilet so much normal blood (not period like) no cramping and a large clot (grape sized). I of course freaked out, my doctors office got me in for a free ultra sound that would only check for a heartbeat. Low and behold... a heartbeat! Not only that they had a cancelation and got me in for my first appointment that morning so he did another ultrasound and found the same good heart beat and that it has grown and even got caught up to its size perfectly. Here's what sucks... Im still spotting. All the doctors are saying they really feel like everything is going to be okay with this one but I CAN NOT get out of my head. Like I said.. I think I just want to talk lol, hear stories of success mostly (I already know that bad parts of spotting). Thanks ladies
Re: Spotting... I think I just want to talk..
I would also suggest going back and doing an intro if you plan on sticking around (which we hope you will) and read the board organization.
My pregnancy with DD I had no spotting so this is new and concerning for me. Concentrate on that heartbeat you saw and the growing babe! I hope everything works out for you.
No real advice except that you are not alone. **hugs**
BFP: 8/11/18 Due: 4/26/18
This is my 3rd pregnancy. I have 2 DDs - barely 4 & 23 months. I’ve never had a MC, but have spotted with all 3.
The first 2 were early - between 6 & 7 weeks. With this one, I had a gush of fluid & blood near the 10 week mark, that sent me to the ER. Everything looked fine - heartbeat, closed cervix, only “old blood” during my pelvic exam... but I couldn’t help but remain terrified.
For the next week I spotted brown, and googled “reasons for spotting at 10 weeks” until my fingers nearly fell off.
I had a scan on Thursday (11+1) and everything still looks great.
I think that if the bleeding & spotting gets lighter, you probabaly have nothing to be concerned about. Light spotting that becomes heavier over time is more concerning.
And although I can’t guarantee anything, remember that at this point, the odds are overwhelmingly in your favor for a healthy pregnancy. ❤️
