    1. How many weeks are you?
    14 today!!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally?
Physically I’m finally less nauseated, energy is getting better, but I’m sooooo constipated. Appetite is down a little too. As I start to feel better, anxiety is creeping in. I’m seriously considering a Doppler but I’m worried that it might make things worse.

    3. Rants/raves/questions? Starting Saturday I have a very busy work/travel/training schedule and I’m anxious about managing my symptoms away from home. I was selected for a federal rescue task force which is a big deal, but I was likely to be the only woman in the room, and a pregnant woman at that? I just found out one of my favorite coworkers is going to the training with me though and that’s going to make it ALOT more manageable.

    4. Any appointment updates? Not until first week of October. I’m ready now!

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one mean everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?
    beans and rice

    1. How many weeks are you?
    13 weeks...doing the 2nd trimester dance today!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally?
Physically: Pretty good, still battle the mid-day tired spell some. Getting use to my little "beer belly". Mentally: Good, besides having preggo brain and forgetting 1/2 the things I need to do.

    3. Rants/raves/questions?
Rant: My 2 fav people, boss and co-worker are leaving my office. Rave: Appetite is finally calming down. New boss doesn't eat sweets, so I feel it maybe a blessing so I won't get carried away during this pregnancy. Old boss was pregnant and was a bad influence lol

    4. Any appointment updates?
    Nothing til Oct 5th

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I could probably do salads. Least you could change them up with lots of different toppings and dressings.

    1. How many weeks are you? 16w tomorrow!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally? Physically I’m getting better. Still dealing with exhaustion and food aversions but the nausea and vomiting is getting a lot better. Mentally I’m having all the anxiety for my appt tomorrow. Last time we were at the MFM they found markers for Down Syndrome. Even though our NIPT came back as low risk I’ve had this feeling like I’m waiting for the other shoe to drop and this appt tomorrow has me freaking out that they’re going to find something else.

    3. Rants/raves/questions? Rave: it’s FINALLY cool enough, not humid and not raining so I’ve got the windows open!! I’m enjoying the crisp fall breeze and drinking some coffee. It’s LOVELY!!

    4. Any appointment updates? See #2, also had my regular ob appt yesterday. Had an early glucose test which sucked since I’m still getting nauseous sometimes. But I got to see little man wiggling around and see (but not hear) his little heart beating so that wan nice.

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? Hmmm probably cereal lol I already eat it every day anyway lol

    1. How many weeks are you?
    16 weeks and some days.

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally?
I still get so tired and I have so much to do around the house. I am having trouble getting up the motivation to get this stuff done!

    3. Rants/raves/questions?
I am still waiting for fall weather to get here, (Jealous @mschanandlerbong1214!) We had a taste of it a few weeks ago, but right now the humidity is back! :s It's supposed to cool down maybe this weekend?

    4. Any appointment updates?
I had an appt with new pulmonologist and a pulmonary function test yesterday to look into controlling my asthma that took all morning... but other than that, nope.

( @mschanandlerbong1214 - good luck with your MFM appt tomorrow. Hoping it goes well!)

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one mean everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? Boy that's a hard one, I would probably have to say eggs or something.
(And, since I didn't check in last week but thought the GTKY was awesome: something I'd love to master is to learn how to knit/sew/crochet, I'd also really LOVE to learn how to play the piano! Always wanted to, ever since I was a kid.)

    1. How many weeks are you? 14w5d!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally? Even on zofran I'm nauseous and throwing up at least once a day. Also, I'm so tired I've napped daily the past few days. Mentally, I'm okay. Somedays I think a doppler would help, but it's too much money for me to spend.

    3. Rants/raves/questions? Rant: lack of energy is making me feel useless and antisocial. Rave: we're telling my mom tomorrow! Question: is any one else getting sick on anti-nausea meds? Should I be asking for a different med?

    4. Any appt updates?  Next appt is 10-10. Can't wait to hear N's heartbeat.

    5. GTKY: If you had to eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be? Definitely salad.

@Kenneylynn3 I’ve been on diglegis for 6+ weeks and was still getting nauseous and sick daily until last week. To the point where the thought I might have HG. And then it started to fade. Still deal with it to a degree but it’s definitely not as bad this week. Fx you start feeling better!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally? Physically I’m pretty good, although I’ve had a couple of random bouts of nausea/gagginess in the last few days. Really was hoping I was past that. Mentally I’m back and forth between excited and terrified something is going to go wrong.

    3. Rants/raves/questions? Anyone have their nausea fade and then resurface?

    4. Any appointment updates? NIPT results came in yesterday and we’ve got a low risk little girl on the way! Next appointment is Tuesday and I am so ready for that reassurance.

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally?
Ok. Some hip pain and have been dry heaving/gagging a lot this week, mostly related to strange smells. Yuck. Mentally I'm feeling pretty good!

    3. Rants/raves/questions?
My rave is that I booked a private scan to find out the sec of the baby, so we will find out in just over 2 weeks! Can't wait 😊

    4. Any appointment updates?
I'll be switching from my family doctor to an obgyn at my next appointment (Oct 9). I hope I like her! She has decent reviews online but long wait times.

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? Hmm... sushi!!!

    1. How many weeks are you? 17 weeks!!!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally?
Mentally so much better. I fell like I can breatheand just enjoy this pregnancy. I had a rough time for a while, I couldn't bring myself to shop or plan anything. I bought my first baby items this week sooo excited!
Physically- good, I haven't been very active just walks with the dogs but now I'd like to get back in the gym. Food aversions much more than cravings. usually by the time I'm dont cooking something I dont even want it anymore.

    3. Rants/raves/questions?
Raves: I felt movement for the first time yesterday!! I cried at my desk lol

    4. Any appointment updates?
    20 week scan Oct 9th

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably Mexican.. Fajitas with chips and salsa

@3rdtime_charmed I let a friend talk me into using her at home doppler. It didn't help my fears at all. It made me super nervous. The ones at the dr are much more powerful and often the home ones pick up your own heart beat not babies first. If you think it will help you absolutely go for it. I gave it back to my friend and said thanks but no thanks.

    1. How many weeks are you?
    16 + 2 today!

    2. How are you feeling physically? Mentally?

Physically I feel great, mentally I have rounded the corner since the Counsyl results came back normal, and they found the heartbeat easily at my 12 week appointment.  Now just anxiously awaiting the anatomy scan as a last step to ease my mind (as much as it can be, PGAL brain just lingers no matter the milestones passed).

    3. Rants/raves/questions?
Rant: purging all the twins extras we won't need anymore on FB. People are flaaaaky!
Rave: we are getting our new couch from IKEA delivered today!  You can wash the whole thing which makes my heart happy!

    4. Any appointment updates?
Next appointment is Tuesday - eeeee!  :)

    5. GTKY- If you had to eat one meal everyday for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oooooh that is tough. I want to say spaghetti and meatballs or sushi but I should probably pick something extra healthy if I had to eat it every day!

    @3rdtime_charmed congrats on being chosen!

@mschanandlerbong1214 fx for a good appointment - I'll be thinking of you. Keep us posted!

@Kenneylynn3 sorry your nausea is still here. I was on Zofran with my first pregnancy and again with this one, and it didn't do a thing. That part of pregnancy is the worst.

@lelkcot yeah for a girl!  They're so much fun!

I didn't know where else to put this...*possible TW and long*

So yesterday evening around 7:30ish I thought I had slightly peed myself. I got to the bathroom where there was a steady stream of bright red blood, and some clots (big) took me and my wife about 20 minutes before I could get myself dressed to go to the ED without blood getting everywhere. We live 1h45m away from the hospital I will be delivering at. So my wife wanted us to go to the closer hospital. I had no pain and am 15w today. Finally I got into a room and the ultrasound tech came in about 9:30. Baby N was doing cartwheels and measuring on track 14w5d heart rate was 146. The Dr came in afterwards to do an exam, because he said even though baby seems fine, I could be dilating and that I'm having a threatened mc since I'm bleeding. I didn't seem to be dilating, cervix was long. He kept repeating the term, threatened mc, and I understand he's trying to prepare me, but I couldn't help but smile because I saw baby doing flips in there. I don't know if that makes since. I need to call the on-call Dr at my hospital today. After the Dr talked to the radiologist, the bleeding is coming from where the bbottomof where my placenta is...possibly detached? There could be another source of bleeding behind the placenta in the uterine wall, but it could be a fibroyid. Sorry for the long post. Just wanted to talk. *end TW*

I’ve had major PGAL brain the last few days because my symptoms improved. I was rewarded with an awful day of nausea that kept me in bed most of the day! My brain is better but I decided I’m just really not good at being pregnant.
I’ve never made it out of the first trimester, and struggled with infertility to boot. and I just keep gettin struck with feelings of awe. I didn’t think this would ever happen to me. I wish I could enjoy it but most of the time I’m just too miserable either physically or with worry! Just venting, I knew you gals would probably understand.

@mamakate1616 I got one, but I haven’t been able to use it reliably. (I’ve tried three times) I’m not sure where my placentas are but my heart rate is high and pretty loud and I can’t say for sure I’m not hearing me. I definitely hear and feel movement when I use it though  I’m still just 14 weeks, so hopefully the Doppler will get better. It hasn’t increased my anxiety so that’s good.

@3rdtime_charmed I’m sorry you’re still feeling poorly! It’s tough when we’re so grateful to be growing these sweet sticky little loves, but struggling with the rough pregnancy symptoms. I keep telling myself once I can feel movement regularly it’s going to be easier.
AFM I had a great appointment this morning, DS got to hear sisters heart beat, which was going strong! I get so nervous before appointment, the days leading up to them I get anxious and convinced something’s gone wrong. Grateful for a good appointment behind me (now to keep my PGAL brain in check for another month until the Anatomy scan).

@3rdtime_charmed I can definitely understand and I relate basically anytime someone vents in here! Making it to 2nd tri has made me feel so much better mentally, and I also get that feeling of awe sometimes. But that PGAL brain will pop up in the most unexpected ways. I've been dealing with a gross stomach bug which had me worried to start with, then last night while super nauseous, I had a few pains that were definitely from my uterus and not my gut. I was totally freaked out, called my OB's office first thing this morning, and the nurse very kindly reassured me that what I was saying was an exact description of round ligament pain. Which I've had already for weeks, so like... yeah I should have known haha. I felt a little crazy but honestly, it makes perfect sense to worry when you've actually dealt with loss before!

@laur84ns thanks for checking in. I have an appt for Friday. It seemed like everything was going to be okay, bleeding turned to spotting, no pain, I can see what I assume to be baby (a hard ball that goes from one side of my stomach to the other.)

Today however I went to get my medical records from my visit to the Er to bring with me to my appt on Friday and it says "relatively low amniotic fluid". My pgal brain is going crazy and just wants it to be Friday already.

I’m having a really hard time with when to tell my students about my pregnancy. (I teach first grade.) I almost told them today, but I stopped myself because I keep thinking “what if something happens.” I can’t imagine having that conversation with 6 and 7 year olds. My logical brain knows that a pregnancy loss at this point is unlikely, but I also know it can happen. I guess I feel like I’m protecting them in some way...just in case.

That’s what going on in my PGAL brain today. I just needed a place to put my thoughts.

@mamakate1616 appt went as well as it can. Fluid levels are in normal range, hb was normal, just spotting. They are calling it a guarded pregnancy. Told I could lose the baby, but try to stay positive. I should expect to keep spotting, because I have a decent size sch behind my placenta. My next appt is on the 10th and my next us is on the 28th.
