29+3 (that feels like a lot!); Baby should be 2.5-3lb, since the u/s last week said she was 2lb 10oz
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Feeling not bad, although yesterday my back was really bothering me. A good night's sleep seemed to help. Also, I think my legs are starting to retain water - nothing crazy, but I can see imprints of my boots all over, which isn't normal.. It may be time to invest in some compression stockings..
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I think I felt the baby flip yesterday! (sorry if you read this in the quickening thread). It felt like an earthquake in my belly. Later in the day, I felt hiccups down low, which I assume means she is head down now.
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be?
Above all, I hope she is kind The world needs more kindness. I hope she is strong and independent and knows to stand up to her beliefs, but at the same time is willing to listen and understand others, even if she doesn't agree with them.
How far along and how big is baby? 28+5, not sure how big he is Feeling/symptoms? Nausea/vomiting is back, but not as bad as first tri; hip/back pain on and off; leg cramps in the morning; definitely feeling emotional about most things in life R/R/DD? Feeling a little overwhelmed at work, so hiding from it and posting. Also feeling overwhelmed with finances during leave. What kind of person do I want my LOs to be? Kind, happy, successful, loved - I feel very flexible what all of those mean, but I want them to feel loved and love others
I feel you @ab_canada I am also starting to see more impressions in my legs from shoes or crossing them. Honestly, the world is great as long as I am regular. The bigger baby gets, the less room I have (obviously) to hold all the poop. Also, I prefer to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks a day, so I am now being forced to eat smaller meals and more often because after 1.5 bowls of chili last night I couldn't move I was so uncomfortable. It's so ironic to be getting so big, yet my stomach space feels small.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I constantly go back and forth between wanting the next ~10 weeks to go fast & then not wanting it to come at all. I don't know if I'm ready for all the changes, but will I ever be?
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be?
I want him/her to know the love of God & Jesus. To be kind & compassionate, yet stand up for themselves & what they believe in.
@ab_canada Yeah for flipping! I feel like baby bean is still flipping all over. Most days he is transverse b/c I can feel him kicking/punching on both my left and right sides. Every once in a while he'll be upright, but I have no idea if he's head down or breach. I keep meaning to ask my OB when they check fundal height, but I haven't yet.
@Activebaby Sorry things are feeling overwhelming! I hope things settle down with work and you can figure out a solid plan for leave. Sending calming vibes your way!
@temmetime I totally get how you feel. I've been super excited for baby bean to get here through most of the pregnancy, but the last week or 2 I've really been thinking a lot about how things for me and DH are going to change when he's here. I've cried (more than once) about how it's not just going to be the two of us anymore.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
29 weeks 3 days; baby is probably around 3 lbs. Won't get an actual approx. weight/height until growth scan at the end of October.
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Sleeping seems to be a little better- I've had a couple of decent 5-hour stretches each of the last 2 nights. Hopefully that will keep up. Just feeling worn down at this point.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
DH and I have this plan to get rid of our (loads of) credit card debt. He worked on it all weekend, following the advice of Dave Ramsey, and went over everything with me on Sunday. I was really super impressed with him b/c he rarely takes initiative himself. He is so excited about our plan which made me really excited! If we stick to it, we should be debt free by the end of 2020 (excepting my student loan), which will be amazing!
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be?
I hope he is independent, loving, and passionate!

How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? Just so very uncomfortable. I feel like there is no room left. I'm short with a short torso, and ugh. Other than that and peeing 4x a night, I guess I'm good lol
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? I mentioned yesterday that I'm going to get a cleaning lady, and I contacted the one my SIL uses, and she agreed to start soon! I'm so very excited.
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be? Well rounded, information seeker, kind, not self-conscious.
@temmetime although I don't want a premie, I am so ready. I mean the baby's room isn't ready, at all, it is still an office, and I have no clothes or diapers. But I am so very over pregnancy.
@ab_canada I've noticed my feet are beginning to swell. But it's supposed to get chillier so hopefully that goes away a little
@activebaby I feel you on the finances. I started this job in December so I don't have any time saved up. We put aside our tax return for the sole purpose of paying for maternity leave. But it will suck when I have to pay for my health insurance retroactively when I get back on payroll
@Jens_Hoes yay on getting a cleaning lady!! I am a fairly tall person (5'8) with a longer torso and am getting uncomfortable, I can only imagine how you're feeling!
@Jens_Hoes that is exactly my situation. I started this job the last week of October and had a planned vacation this summer, so I just have so little accrued time off. We’ve planned for how to manage through my time off, but still not bringing in a usual income will suck.
@temmetime It is totally weird that there is so much less room given how much bigger we're getting. It's bizarre. Also, I feel ya on the push-pull of wanting baby to be here and also not wanting baby to be here. I'm excited to meet my little guy, but I'm also terrified!
How far along are you? How big is baby? 29+1. Baby is the size of a pineapple. A pineapple. I never thought I'd get to this point. It's incredible. He's also around 15 inches long and about 2.5 lbs.
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? No new symptoms, just stronger symptoms. I'm getting more ache-y all over, especially if I sit for awhile. I also am struggling more to breathe. I've heard that you get to fill your lungs immediately after delivering and that sounds so delicious right now. Heartburn is almost completely gone, which I find so strange since it was so bad a few weeks ago. Oooh...and last night I woke up on my back and thought I was suffocating. That's fun. As for babycakes, he seems like he's struggling to find a comfy position. He's constantly moving and I just imagine him being so frustrated with the lack of room.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? I'm going to Orlando this weekend! My husband is in Florida for work (for nine days! Ugh) and since I'm an emotional basketcase, he used his miles so I can fly out for the weekend to see him. His hotel has a pretty sweet pool. I'm excited.
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will be? Oh man, I could talk about this for hours. I want him to be healthy, smart, brave, funny, affectionate, curious, adventurous. So many things. I want him to be loved and to love others. I want him to follow his dreams despite the obstacles. I want him to treat others well. Selfishly though, I want him to have dark hair, love his mama, and be a cat person.
@binxybaby I hope you have a great trip and fun weekend with YH! That sounds like a nice random trip & I hope he doesn't have to work while you are there.
Ummmmmm..... good question. Symptoms, I'm fine. But everything else, I'm feeling a little overwhelmed. Like I'm kind of floating by at work yet I have an ever-growing listing of things I want/need to be working on but I'm not feeling super motivated. I am in full-on nesting mode - all I want to do is read, plan and organize all things baby.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
Rant: I feel so silly saying this but my GD education class was a blow to my ego this morning, haha. I wish the nurse could've just shown me how to use the monitor and let me go. I was trying hard not to take her seemingly patronizing tone to heart because I am hormonal and I know she must deal with a lot of mamas who just don't know.
Rave: On the bright side, she walked through the monitors with each of us and my blood sugar was well within where it needed to be.
I was looking at my registry yesterday, and the dresser and the tandem stroller have been purchased! The registries were for me to get the completion discounts, but my family really wanted to have a shower. Wasn't expecting the big things!
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be? Oh wow. Empathetic. Strong. Fearless. A change-maker.
29 weeks and 3 days - think I saw butternut squash on a website!
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
The constant peeing is getting out of control - like everyone else there’s no room left in there!! I have a regular check up tomorrow so going to ask them check I don’t have a UTI. Often can’t get comfortable relaxing and going to bed which is super annoying.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?
I had my interview this morning and it went really well. I don’t think I could’ve done better, fingers crossed I get it!
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be?
So many wishes for this amazing rainbow girl in my belly. I hope she is brave and never gives up in what she believes in like her Mamma and all the women in her family camebefore her. I hope she loves playing outside and won’t be afraid to get dirty. I hope she loves the Lord and grows to have a grateful heart. I hope all her dreams come true!
@temmetime@mag1cbeli3ver I'm with you on the sadness thing. I go through periods of being really down about everything changing. And yet I am fairly miserable and like @Jens_Hoes looking forward to this pregnancy being over.
How far along are you? How big is baby?
28+4, and a bowling pin or something I think?
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms?
Not really any new symptoms. I did get a prescription for a steroid cream at my appointment yesterday, which will hopefully help with the at times uncontrollable genital itching. Pregnancy is so lovely.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary?

GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be?
Mostly not a jerk. I have lots of other ideas of course, but I'm pretty flexible and that's the most important one.
@ab_canada Glad to hear about the baby flipping! There are times I think my baby has, because I'm feeling more kicking under my ribs, but next thing I know it, she is back to dancing on my bladder.
@temmetime I pretty much feel the exact same way. I'm so ready for the baby to just be here, but at the same time, I know things are going to drastically change and I do not feel any where near prepared.
@mag1cbeli3ver That is awesome about coming up with a plan to get rid of credit card debt! By chance, have any advice? Credit card debt is the worst.
How far along are you? How big is baby? 28+4; baby is as big as an eggplant
How are you feeling this week? Any new symptoms? I've also been feeling worn out, which I didn't expect to be going through that already. I vacuumed my apartment and it seriously felt like I just got done deep cleaning every nook and cranny. As far as something new, I've definitely been feeling the muscles in my stomach stretching. Last night at work, I was walking around and the left side of my stomach felt tight. Makes me wonder how much worse it's going to become as I get closer to my DD.
Rants/Raves/Questions/Dear Diary? Im not sure who saw my post on another thread that my husband is getting laid off from his job at the end of next week. Financially, I'm not too worried at the moment since he will be getting a severance package. I think I'm just more worried about the lack of stability, if that makes sense. Also, I feel bad for my husband, because it's really bumming him out. He hates having to look for a new job and has no motivation. Also, it bothers him that he was going to get three paid weeks off after the baby arrives and now he is afraid whatever job he finds, won't have paternity leave. I just hate seeing him so down and I don't feel like I can do anything to make him feel better.
GTKY: What kind of person do you hope your LO will grow up to be? Above all, compassionate toward others. Also, for her to know that you get what you earn by working for it.
@whitneyb89 So sorry to hear about your husband and his layoff. Not that any time is ever a good time for something like that, but the timing really sucks! I don't really know how you can pull him out of it, but I hope he does find some motivation and a good job that will give him some paternity time to spend with you and baby!
Credit Card debt stuff in spoiler in case anyone else is interested.
We are following his "snowball effect." I'll try to explain what I can, but DH is really the one who did all the research on it! Basically, we went through all of our credit cards and put them in order from lowest balance to highest balance (regardless of interest rate). We figured out the minimum payments for each of them and will keep paying those each month. But, any additional money we have will all be applied to the card with the lowest balance. Once that's paid off, that minimum payment is gone, and you move on to the next lowest. The reason you start with the lowest is that it gets paid off the quickest, obviously; it clears out a minimum payment; and it makes you feel good that you can check one thing off. We were actually already paying an absurd amount each month over the minimum payments anyways to try and pay things down (like $1000), but nothing seemed to be improving. By shifting that around, we'll have 2 of our low balance cards paid off next month, and then like one a month or every other month for a while after that.
I hope that makes sense! But if you search for Dave Ramsey, especially on youtube or TedTalks, tons of stuff will come up that will be more helpful than me!

@mag1cbeli3ver Yeah, the timing really does suck. I think that's what makes it the hardest at the moment. I've even offered to apply to jobs for him if that would help, lol. Thank you though. And also thanks @hoosiermama-2!
As for the snow ball effect, I think I've heard of that method before. I think it might of been one we have attempted/ currently have been working on. But then someone suggested to us that it might be better to try paying them off based on the interest rate, by getting rid of the highest one first. Either way, it's been a very slow process for us. Sometimes I wish we could just win the lottery, lol!
