Re: Sep 2018 FET

  • @mrsyng you have a solid line! That’s all that matters until you can get hcg results. It’s too stressful to evaluate the darkening. Fx for your beta tomorrow!

afm, all done. Headed back to acupuncture for my second session then home for work in bed. Blergh :)

transferred a 3AA that thawed and was re-rated 5BB. First beta next Monday at 7dpt.

  • @bkatp thanks. Yes, 8dpt is early but they won’t tell me beta results until after 10dpt draw. Something about they want it to be as accurate as possible - the same lab tech will analyze both draws on Thursday. It’s slightly annoying but it is what it is.

@leilee101 lol. Thanks. I’m trying not to but it’s hard. Even if I didn’t test it would still make me crazy. ;)

@northbeach3 yes, you’re right a line is a line!! Rest easy today. Your embaby is hatching. Fx implantation occurs today or tomorrow! Stick baby stick!!
  • @bkatp We have the same day beta. mine is also 9/24. i'm so nervous. My embryo was already a day 6 embryo, so i tested this morning at 3dpt and nothing. It might be too early plus not my first morning urine, but still. I cried :( Wishing us both the best of luck!

  • @babyhopeful442 3dpt is way too early even if it’s a day 6 embryo. Was yours assisted hatching? I’ve notice that people with assisted hatching or already hatching embryos may get a positive on day 4. But typically some don’t see anything until days 6-8. Wishing you lots of sticky baby dust!! Try again tomorrow if it’s not too overwhelming for you.
  • @mrsyng Thank you for the reassurance, i feel much better. It was already hatching but the embryologist said that's because we biopsied it for PGS and so it came out of its shell. I'm just a POAS addict, it's so bad for my mental health. Other than some heaviness like AF is coming, i don't have any other symptoms. What was your symptoms before the BFP? I'm praying super hard this is it.

  • @babyhopeful442
3dpt is too early! Don't stress! Our embryos were day 6 as well and hatching the morning of transfer and my 8dpt beta was 304 for twins. Even that wouldn't have really shown up on day 3! And even with the bfp, I didn't get much in the way of symptoms until later -- the only thing that was "different" was some spotting (I don't breakthrough bleed on progesterone supplements normally). I know it's hard, but sit tight   We're all rooting for you guys

  • @babyhopeful442 honestly, I haven’t really had any sxs. I just had some small cramps on day 5 in the afternoon. Other than that I haven’t felt anything and I couldn’t remember when I started having breast tenderness from my may FET. I’m trying to sxs spot but so far not much is happening. I’m also a poas junkie too. I have one test left, hopefully I don’t pick up another pack. I’ll talk to DH to see what he thinks too - to pick another pack or to not... decisions!! Lol. Fx you’ll get a BFP too because heaviness could mean good news!

@mrsyng so you have to wait for both betas until Thursday.

@northbeach3 glad ur transfer went well, take it easy for rest of the day.

@babyhopeful442 we have in total 3 betas scheduled for 24th so far . @northbeach3 is also testing on Monday
  • Thank you for the encouragement @mbradfo2. I know i just have to hold on tight and stop testing lol. I only transferred 1 embryo, so hopefully the HCG is rising slowly.

@bkatp @northbeach3 That's so exciting! Beta buddies!! Fingers crossed for all of us!

  • On the weekends i work 12 hrs shifts (that why its been taking me so long for responses).
@sunnyinatx wow thats awesome! I would have worried constantly with low numbers (due to so many chemicals). Are you going to go for a second beta? Or wait until u/s?
@bkatp i was supposed to wait until Friday for a third beta and an u/s but i called today and asked if i could go in tomorrow (i didnt want to worry for 5 days if my numbers were going up or not) thankfully my nurse is so understanding and is squeezing me in at 8:15 tomorrow.
@northbeach3 my first u/s is friday. Hopefully my numbers have went up enough that we can see the sac. Your embryo looks so pretty and expanded. Sending GL vibes your way!!!
@mrsyng in the past how dark my lines progressed indicated how much my beta was increasing (ALL 9 times) however this time, my lines were progressing as much as was sure my numbers were doubling but sonfar so good. So i would try not to worry too much abour how dark the lines are getting (thougj they look . I have my FX for you!
@babyhopeful442 i had the same feeling! Along with cramps on 3dpt. Wishing you luck! Very few people get a positive that early. I never have. Give it a few more days.

  • Glad to know that you HCG level doubled @justharrison! and FX for your next beta tomorrow
@mrsyng congrats! I see darker line and hang in there Beta it's almost there!
I am so sorry for your BFN @J1006 sending prayers and love your way
Glad to know that your transfer went well @northbeach3
@babyhopeful442 hang in there girlfriend, wait is almost over! you'll get your BFP! FX!
  • @justharrison it is a blessing in disguise To be busy this TWW time period.

@babyhopeful442 yes , I am excited nervous at the same time I am trying to be positive.

Somehow my gut feel is saying something different(not sure if it is ok to say)may be I am too scared. Trying to meditate to get positivity in my mind, but can't even meditate, the moment I have time for myself these thoughts creep in. Today is my birthday, this is the first one that couldn't enjoy so far
  • @J1006 I am just catching up from being gone and am so sad to see your news. I hope you are taking the time you need for grieving, this experience is still fresh in my head from July and it hurts so much. I am glad to hear you have a plan to adopt and I wish you all the best on your path to your child.

@northbeach3 what a beautiful embryo! I’m glad to read it went well! Am feeling I’ll be the last one to go through beta hell lol as I read through and see everyone’s tests and lines progressing! Exciting month for sure.

@justharrison wonderful news! You sure deserve this after your journey and I’m very happy for you! I agree with someone else who talked about being busy or distracted being a blessing - with being swamped with prepping for a conference we hosted and being out of state for that all last week I didn’t think about this too much, just took my meds and meditated at night and that’s it. It was kind of refreshing that way. But come my beta wait I will prob have a harder time.

I’m getting ready for packing for our transfer trip since our clinic is two states and four hours away, it takes a bit more planning. We will leave Thursday at 2, right after acupuncture, and get there after dinner, with transfer at 1 on Friday. I told my acupuncturist yesterday that I dont know if this is a good thing but I’m going into this so differently than in July where I was all positive thinking and sure it would work because I willed it to with my positive thoughts a la The Secret. This time I’m like, I’ve tried, it’s out of my hands, at my age I’ll be pleasantly surprised if it works, like if PGS didn't work last time why would this time be different? I think I’m just protecting myself because last time I did not deal well with the loss and I know this is our last chance so trying to keep the pressure down.
  • Happy to see an update @momifbysea. I’m totally with you on being much more guarded / removed this time. I’m trying to have a little more realism than idealism this time. While I joked at the transfer that “third times a charm” I deep down know that this could be one of several more transfers. Even if it results in a BFP, it’s still a long road toward feeling safe that it will result in a THB. IF has really taken the joy out of some of these stages. Anyway, sounds like you still have some time to prep for Friday. I’m sure work will keep us busy this week.

Afm, my day home is over. Only got to relax starting at 8pm since I was working before. Had some pho as my acupuncturist recommended and my pineapple core slices. :). The i promptly passed out at 9:30. Hahaha another long week ahead. Back to the grind.

  • @Momifbysea Just wanted to drop in and send you a note that I will be thinking of you and praying for your success with your last miracle embryo.
My cycle was cancelled at lining check due to a possible polyp seen on ultrasound.. going to be going in for a hysteroscopy next week. We won't have a chance to transfer our last embryo again until Dec/Jan due to work travel.
In the meantime, I will keep hope alive for both of us.  <3
  • @allycoghlin thank you for dropping by and for your prayers, I so appreciate that! I'm sorry for your delay, BUT to look at the silver lining, thank goodness they caught it so that you can have the best chance possible for that last embryo. I know you get what I was saying, as you're in the same spot with one left. Keeping hope alive sounds wonderful, I am a bit exhausted on that front after this journey, so will give the load a bit up to heaven this time.

@northbeach3 you are so dedicated to your work, thank God for teachers like you, so good that you passed out and got to sleep at leasts! I hadn't heard that about pho but now I'm all in so thanks for the tip! I did hear from my acupuncturist that warm foods are good after transfer and also to keep feet warm. I think I'll feel silly wearing big warm socks in 90 degree weather to my transfer but may just do that.

  • I think I brought this up earlier, but I was just looking at our spreadsheet and see that everyone else has linings of at least 10. My 8.3 seems low so I'm a little not liking that...does anyone know if lining continues to increase a little after starting PIO? Since my lining check was 5 days prior to starting PIO maybe it just needed a bit more time? Last time, just 2 month ago, it was 11. The only things different were I had the endo scratch and this time I'm doing acupuncture which I thought were supposed to help the lining. Hmm.
  • @Momifbysea yes the lining increases those 5 days as well. Mine increase from 10.5 to 12.5/13 on the rrantran day.

@allycoghlin sorry that u have more waiting. But I guess it is all worth it.
  • @Momifbysea anything above 8 for lining with the triple lines is ideal for transfer and I would assume it continues to grow as it will also need to grow with the embryo when it implants.
  • @Momifbysea i would assume the lining continues to grow, but my doc never formally measures it again. on transfer, they use the belly ultrasound wand instead of the transvaginal one since the catheter is up your hoo-hah.  looks like @bkatp has some experience, so I wouldn't stress too much.  My last FET lining was in the 8s -- did have implantation.

@allycoghlin thanks for coming back to share your update. so sorry to hear about the polyp and the delay in the transfer, but hopeful for when you can cycle again.

any word @justharrison? we're on the beta-tracking team waiting for updates! :) FX

  • Thanks for helping me not worry about my lining ladies! Will just assume that if everything weren't fine, they wouldn't proceed.
I am getting so excited to see results of those who have gone ahead of me this month. Even when the wait isn't my personal wait, it's crazy how it's like it still is, because we are all rooting for each other! And of course, it looks like I'm last, haha.
  • @Momifbysea yes. I emptied before going in for transfer so they could not see anything via belly ultrasound. They had to switch to transviginal - so they could measure easily. And it increased so don't worry.
  • @Momifbysea, just for some extra reassurance, I have also heard that the lining continues to grow  and 8 is still a great number for implantation FX and sending you positive vibes.
GL to all my ladies in the 2WW, rooting for you! Hang in there! And thank you @northbeach3 for all the nice tips!
  • @Momifbysea my lining was only 7.5mm the day before i started my progesterone shots. at my transfer, the RE remarked on how thick my lining looked. So i think you are ok. It continues to grow through the progesterone shots.

  • From yesterday night, I am having cramps and feels like I am going to get AF. Is it possible to get period while being on progesterone? I am wondering if progresterone is the one stopping AF from coming. Today is 7 dpt so i don't think it is implantation cramps.  I don't see any spotting yet that's the only hope.
  • @bkatp progesterone usually delays AF but it is possible to get break through bleeding.

i think cramping can happen for a while, not just at implantation. Fx!

  • @bkatp I still have very mild cramping here and there some days. But still holding my breath.

    @justharrison congratulations.

@mrsyng you will know beta1 beta2 results tomorrow right ? Good luck

Thank you all. I am holding my hopes until beta
  • @bkatp I just wanted to let you know that **TW** I had spotting all through my first trimester with my daughter, so I am holding out hope for you! **end TW**

Thinking of all of you waiting for betas right now, I know how hard the wait is. I'm having a hard enough time just waiting for my transfer Friday! Funny how time can seem so slow or so fast, depending on circumstances...
  • Yes @bkatp I’ll know both results tomorrow about noon or bit after.
  • @justharrison That's a great Beta! Congrats girl!!!
@bkatp and @mrsyng Don't be afraid, i've been experiencing period like cramps since transfer and i just found out *****Trigger Warning***** that i am pregnant. I tested yesterday morning at 10 hours before 4dpt and i saw a very questionable line, so i tested again this morning at 5dpt and saw a darker line. I'm over the moon and scared at the same time. My beta isn't until monday, so i've got some holding out to do. But what i really want is to go to a maternal fetal medicine specialist to get some lovenox or heparin to prevent a miscarriage as i am compound heterozygous for MTHFR mutation. I had a chemical in 2015 and my only living child was a threatening miscarriage, for which i was put on bed rest. I called a specialist today to see if i can at a least make an appointment and i can't until she gets my records from my RE. Arg!!! So i have to wait for my beta to include that probably in my records and then make an appointment. ***end TW***

@babyhopeful442 congratulations to you too! and i know it can be stressful especially with your history, but trying to relax and enjoy and don't worry too much please!. I'm pretty sure you are in good hands and from your RE clinic to OBGYN/maternal fetal medicine they will take good care of you if needed until delivery. I'm praying for a healthy pregnancy, FX!

Beta #2 is tomorrow and I’m totally feeling like shit! I don’t believe there will be any good news tomorrow, I mean I’ll definitely get a number saying “pregnant” but I highly doubt it will double. I’ve been here before but this time around I basically have very very little to no breast tenderness; this is the first symptom during both previous MC and to top it off, I believe I’m also having some light spotting. I know spotting is normal but I swear when it comes to me with spotting experience, it’s never good news!

With the the lack of symptoms and spotting, my hope for success is almost non-existence now. Did I say how much I f*****g hate IF? I know I won’t have a better idea of positive or negative outcomes until tomorrow but I’m losing it tonight! I had a short cry and will definitely ball tomorrow with not so great news. I’ve been just a Debbie downer all day today and now it’s even worse!

All 3 times I had spotting it was never good for me. My bums are just so sore with PIO. I dunno when will I ever get really pregnant
