Hello everyone! I'm so excited to have made it to the 3rd trimester! I've been lurking the last few weeks - congrats to all those who just had their little miracles, and to all those about to give birth! This thread has been hoping the past few weeks!
We went through IF treatments for almost exactly 4 years before finally getting our BFP at the end of March after an FET with our last embryo. DH and I are absolutely thrilled to be here and can't wait to meet our little guy! He is due December 1st, and, well, he's a boy! lol! @wildrainbow, can you please add me to the list?
@wildrainbow I've been following your journey. I hope that things are going as well as can be, that your UTI has cleared up, and that you'll be able to hold out giving birth until week 35 or 36! FX for you!
@Dragonfly6191 GL today! I hope all goes well for you and baby and everyone involved!
How far along? EDD? 28 weeks 2 days!
How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling good for the most part. Having trouble sleeping - I'm up every 2 hours or so to go to the bathroom and get a drink (b/c I've been sooooo dehydrated). But energy levels are still good and not much pain anywhere, for now at least!
Any upcoming appointments? I have a regular OB appt on Friday. Not much going on. I just took my GD test a couple Fridays ago and never heard back from the office, so I'm assuming I passed and don't have GD. Plan to talk to them about that and the flu shot on Friday.
GTKY: What has been your favorite thing about being pregnant? Honestly, feeling baby kick and move around! I have an anterior placenta, so I didn't really feel him move until the day before I reached 24 weeks. It's become so much more consistent now, though, and I feel him pretty much every day, several times a day! It just makes me smile! Plus, I haven't had to use the doppler in a while, which is really nice. I also like (maybe love?) most of my maternity clothes! There's a chance this will be our only pregnancy, so I'm kind of sad that I may not be able to wear some of these things again!
Me: 33, DH: 41 Started IF Feb. 2014 PCOS & MFI (low sperm count and motility) 3 Femara cycles w/natural intercourse over summer 2014, BFN 1 Clomid cycle w/natural intercourse Nov. 2014, BFN IUI March 2015, BFN IUI June 2015, BFN IUI Oct. 2015, BFN IVF Oct. 2016, fresh transfer, 2 day-3 embryos, BFN; nothing to freeze IVF Nov. 2017, fresh transfer, 2 day-5 blasts, BFP; ectopic; 1 blast frozen FET March 2018, 1 day-5 blast, BFP!
How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling pretty good besides the pelvic pain and pressure. I worked out this morning and have had been really nesting lately. Trying to rest some too lol. She has definitely dropped and I had a lot of off and on contractions this weekend.
Any upcoming appointments? Tomorrow I have an OB appt.
GTKY: What has been your favorite thing about being pregnant? I love being pregnant- it amazes me what our bodies can do! I love my bump and feeling her move!
Me: 28, DH: 30 Married July 2014 DX: Severe MFI- 3 failed IUI's, IVF #1 Egg retrieval June 4th 2016, 5 day transfer- BFP Baby Boy! EDD 2/25/2017. Our sweet miracle Carter Bennett arrived 2/12/2017 6 lbs, 2 oz 19 inches. Surprise BFP!!! Baby Girl due 10/1/2018.
Hi ladies! I am excited to be joining you all and very excited to see we're gonna have some new LO's coming soon!! @Dragonfly6191 Good Luck, I know that you were supposed to plan on delivery for yesterday and I am hoping all is going smooth!!
I am excited to join the 3rd tri thread. A little bit about our history, we were DX with blocked tubes and sent straight to IVF. We had 3 FETs that finally resulted in our THB after the 3rd transfer. After asking our team of Dr.s multiple times if there was any chance we could conceive on our own and they all said "No" we decided against birth control after Riley's birth last October. We were surprised to find out in April that we were pregnant with twins naturally. Biggest shock of our lives!
If you could add me @wildrainbow that would be great. EDD 12/1 B/G twins
How far along? EDD? 28+4 EDD 12/1(but likely sooner than that) B/G twins
How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling pretty good, but overall just a bit tired and moving fairly slowly
Any upcoming appointments? I had an MFM growth scan scheduled for Thursday but with Hurricane Florence coming down on my region they rescheduled it to 9/24. Also, I just found out that they lost my blood from last week's glucose test so I will need to redo that on the 24th as well. FUN
GTKY: What has been your favorite thing about being pregnant? Well now that I have been pregnant almost 2 years straight now, I am mostly just concerned with everyone being healthy and making it as far as I can, but I can't say that it has been the most fun being pregnant for so long(not complaining though )
Again I am so excited to finish out my pregnancy with you ladies and I hope as our LOs are coming things continue to move smoothly!

I'm 31+2 today. I had my dr appt today and I dunno how much longer I can do this. Baby is fully breech, with his butt in my pelvis. It explains all the pressure and contractions I've been having, not to mention the fact that I can't walk. My u/s tech said if he dropped further he would be on his way out. On the plus side, he weighs 4lbs even and measures 2 weeks ahead. That makes me happy, especially since I could deliver any time now depending on my labs. So, I'm still pregnant (Yay!) and completely miserable.
GTKY: I love those first little flutters before anyone else can feel movement. That is super special to me because it's like the baby is only talking to you.
Our babies are here! John “Maverick” and Adaline Leigh were born yesterday at 2:58 and 2:59 via cesarean. Maverick came in at 5lb 10 Oz, and Adaline at 4lb 1 Oz. Despite low birth weight, both have done extremely well and no NICU time so far. Maverick came out of the delivery room with us and has been with us ever since. Adaline has been in the nursery under a warmer to regulate temp but is otherwise healthy and gets to come be with us for 30 minutes every 3 hours for feeding, skin to skin, etc.
Otherwise everyone is perfectly healthy and we are so thankful. We expect Mav to come home with us later this week, due to expected post birth weight loss Adaline will likely stay a little while longer but only in the regular nursery.
Family pic from during surergy, haven’t really been able to get good up close shots of them yet!

@wildrainbow have you heard / read about the spinningbabies.com? They have very good information and so far everything they suggest is supported by my midwifes / doctors. Try those poses and see if you can flip the baby. You still have a lot of time so please don't stress yourself. But, I know what you mean by the pain it cause. My was / is breech (although smaller than yours) and kept hitting / kicking / punching my cervix that I was sreeming from pain. I wish you good luck!
Congratulations @Dragonfly6191. They are both gorgeous and so happy everyone is already doing so well! ❤❤
@wildrainbow. I second @Ilky 's recommendation. I did just a bit of easy spinning babies at home, and it was enough to get baby to flip before I even saw the chiropractor! But I still see the chiro, (Webster certified) and she has definitely helped me live again! Seriously. I was in so much pain all over, hips, pelvis, feet, etc. I didn't know how I was going to stay working. But with her help, I actually worked up to a couple days before my EDD, and that was more due to wanting the time to do things, peace of mind to rest and prepare at home, etc., not bc I was in such agony, thankfully. If you're really feeling that miserable, :/ it can't hurt to try! (((Hugs)))

How far along? EDD? 40+3 (9.9)

How is everyone feeling this week? Not bad, just hoping labor gets going soon here...

Any upcoming appointments?

Sorry to have been a bit MIA. We had a bit of a "big baby" scare at yesterdays growth scan, but thankfully after going back in for an NST, (baby is quite happy in there, which I already knew), the doctor is on board with letting me still try for a vaginal delivery, and not jumping straight to cesarean, based on one scan, which isnt always super accurate anyway. Phew! Feeling So So relieved that my doctor is supportive of our birth plan (for now). We are already at 4cm, so hopefully things just keep moving along on their own.
Repeat NST on Sunday (41w) if we are still pregnant, and MW scheduled for Monday at 41+1.

GTKY: What has been your favorite thing about being pregnant?

Sounds funny to say, but I have really enjoyed much of my last trimester, (since the chiro helped me feel human again!) just soaking it all in until baby gets here, being visibly obviously pregnant, (not just thick or questionably round in the middle lol), where people are less afraid to ask when you are due, which I much prefer to the sideways, awkward, wondering looks... It's a special time, and most people just smile at you bc who doesn't love seeing a mega-preggo tottling around!? :D But mostly, I just love this special bond, knowing my tiny little person from the inside. And there's absolutely a part of me that doesn't want to have to share my baby with the world! Lol. But of course, now that we are at the end of the road, I am absolutely looking forward just to seeing that sweet face!
Hey all, Feeling really cracked out from lack of sleep but just wanted to send @BusinessWife some positive vibes. Really hoping you get to have the vaginal delivery and everything goes smoothly. 4cm already is great news! Sounds like you totally have the right attitude and your baby should be here soon. Sending you tons of creepy internet, mommy hormonal hugs.
@sarzee2 wow! That picture of you guys with your two babies is just amazing! I am so glad to hear they are both doing well and it sounds like everyone should be home together soonish. Sending you superwoman powers BC I don't know how anyone handles two babies!!!
@wildrainbow another vote for spinning babies. Pretty sure that and chiro helped my baby flip. Best wishes for some relief from the pain. That does not sound fun.
Afm, supposed to go home friday. Healing well and moving around the room a bunch. Yesterday tried to take a walk to the garden and got about half way there before I realized that was not going to happen. Working on knowing my limits. Baby is doing well, had our first night of cluster feeding, which was intense, but we have sent him to the nursery for a few hours to try to get a little rest, which is pretty amazing. Okay, back to sleep I go.

@gfgrump Man, your hospital lets you put baby in the nursery! I'm jealous -- I asked if the nurses could take her one night for an hour or two so I could sleep (husband had gone home to get things set up and take care of our pets) and they were all, "Nope! You have to keep her in your room!" Not that I -minded- so much; I just really wanted some rest!

Hi! Sorry to leave everyone hanging but we are doing just fine. Baby Boy, Duke Douglas, arrived on 8/22 via an unplanned c-section. He ended up being posterior and I didn't dilate past 7 cm after about 30 hours of contractions. I started writing out the whole birth story but once it was over 2 pages I gave up. The short story is that I started having contractions on Monday (8/20) night but they were far apart and long so I assumed it wasn't true labor. I had a scheduled appt on Tuesday where I went in crying from the pain and then my water broke during the exam. We were admitted right away and I was put on pitocin so the contractions came on strong but I didn't progress. This went on until Wednesday night when we all finally called it and I had the CS. I had some minor complications that made recovery a total bitch but the baby was perfect so I fought my way back and now we are all doing great.
I'll be heading over to the New Moms thread now that we are getting into a routine and I can check in more. I will look forward to seeing everyone there.

Yay congrats everyone on their new babies! Our little miss surprised us
early, I was 37 weeks! Chloe Brielle was born on 9/11 at 7:36 am. 5 lbs,
4 oz and 17 3/4 inches long. Pics and birth story in spoiler
The birth was very quick, 3.5 hours of excitement and I opted against pain meds or an epidural. I was lying in bed and my water broke at 4 am! I woke up so confused at what was happening since I was 37 weeks and not expecting it! I ran into the bathroom while yelling at my husband that my water broke and to call his mom to come watch our son. We quickly got our stuff and showered and she showed up then we drove 30 mins away to the hospital. I was only having a few contractions on the ride and not in too much pain! We finally got checked in about 5:30 or so and they checked me and I was at 4 cm. My Mom arrived about 6:45am right as my contractions were picking up and I was in pretty bad pain. I started feeling like I was in transition shortly after I was sweating, contractions were about 1-2 mins apart and I was feeling a lot of pressure low. I was concerned because the nurse hadn't checked me since I had first come in and things moved fast! My mom could tell and told the nurse she really needs to check me. The nurse had just gotten on shift at 7 and it was a bit after. The nurse checked me and said oh wow yes you are right, I see the babies head LOL! They grabbed some random OB that was in the hall rushed him in and three or four pushes later she was here!!! We went home yesterday afternoon and are both doing well!!!

See you guys over in the mommies thread. @laurad75 my son has the same onesie and it’s one of my favorites My hospital also had no nursery which I initially liked because it means that after they are born they don’t take them to the nursery for hours. It allows you to establish breastfeeding earlier and do more skin to skin time but it does suck when you just want a break for a couple of hours to get some sleep!
@BusinessWife I am really over-the-moon excited for you! Hoping that things continue to progress and you have an easy labor and delivery. Can’t wait to see your little one
I actually think the rooming in is the best in the long run. I would have been totally overwhelmed once we were home if he spent our hospital stay in the nursery. Plus I love staring at him.
Thinking of you @BusinessWife and hope all is going well.

Yeah, I just wanted to stare at her but I did want some sleep too haha
But I had been in the hospital for almost 3 days before they even started the induction (which became a C-section) and under constant monitoring most of that time so I was pretty exhausted from poor sleep. Hard to sleep when they are checking your bp every hour and you have all the different monitors beeping.
I actually felt miserable when they -did- take her from me the first night after she was born because I was bed-bound and they couldn't leave her in the room with me alone (and husband had gone home for a few hours to do chores/rest) -- I was all cathed up and still had magnesium drip going so I wasn't allowed to take care of her on my own. I called the nurses every hour I think to check on her!

Thanks for the support, ladies! ❤ Right now, not much to report... I am supposed to go in for the repeat NST and MW c/u this morning... Re: 3rd Trimester Check In w/o 9/10

- How far along? EDD? 28+4 EDD 12/1(but likely sooner than that) B/G twins
- How is everyone feeling this week? Feeling pretty good, but overall just a bit tired and moving fairly slowly
- Any upcoming appointments? I had an MFM growth scan scheduled for Thursday but with Hurricane Florence coming down on my region they rescheduled it to 9/24. Also, I just found out that they lost my blood from last week's glucose test so I will need to redo that on the 24th as well. FUN
- GTKY: What has been your favorite thing about being pregnant? Well now that I have been pregnant almost 2 years straight now, I am mostly just concerned with everyone being healthy and making it as far as I can, but I can't say that it has been the most fun being pregnant for so long(not complaining though )
Again I am so excited to finish out my pregnancy with you ladies and I hope as our LOs are coming things continue to move smoothly!IVF ER 5/5/2016

(((Hugs)))

Feeling really cracked out from lack of sleep but just wanted to send @BusinessWife some positive vibes.

Man, your hospital lets you put baby in the nursery! I'm jealous -- I asked if the nurses could take her one night for an hour or two so I could sleep (husband had gone home to get things set up and take care of our pets) and they were all, "Nope! You have to keep her in your room!" Not that I -minded- so much; I just really wanted some rest!

But I had been in the hospital for almost 3 days before they even started the induction (which became a C-section) and under constant monitoring most of that time so I was pretty exhausted from poor sleep.
