When is your appointment? today 9/10 and Thursday 9/13. How far along will you be? 32+2 And 32+5
What is being addressed? today was a growth scan they scheduled when I had my pre e scare. Thursday is my actual apointment and another dilation check.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: was super excited to finally see my stubborn dudes face today! He looks just like his dad and one of his brothers. I am interested to see if I am still at 1cm or anymore dilated. No concerns though. I’ll include a pic of my little man because I’m just so happy I finally got his face!!
What is being addressed? Sonogram and regular check in
Questions/Comments/Concerns: Baby is still breech. I've been working on flipping baby since 30 weeks and have upped my chiro care to 3x/week. Apparently I am in the prime flipping window that usually closes around 34 weeks. My doctor has a game plan for me though, so I am feeling pretty confident that I can get baby to flip. Spinningbabies is my new favorite website.

When is your appointment? This morning, finally! Feels like forever since my last one.
How far along will you be? 32w +2d
What is being addressed? Regular check up but the Centering Pregnancy class is all about family planning ,fetal brain development and preterm labor. The class this week seems like kind of a waste. In 2weeks we go over comfort during labor and everything we should be prepping for labor. That seems like a much more interesting class.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: How do they know if the baby is in the right position without doing an ultrasound? I think I don't get to do any more ultrasounds unless there is a medical reason to.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: Just concerned about my veins on my legs looking huge this time around. My OB said "Yep, looks like you're trying to get varicose veins." LOL! Riiiiggghhht. So really, all is well, good blood pressure and her heart rate was good too.
had a routine ttts monitoring ultrasound at mfm this morning, 29w5d. adding something called “twin anemia polycythemia sequence” to the growing list of things they are keeping an eye on. both babies are right at the fringe for this diagnosis, as it’s a donor/recipient kind of deal: one is taking too much blood/hemoglobin/red blood cells, and the other is becoming anemic.
so, appointment next week to follow up with growth discordance/siugr of baby b. will also now follow up with this new “taps” issue.
mfm doc didn’t want to schedule anymore appointments beyond the next yet because “we need to see how the next one goes first...”
on the bright side, we’ve seen on the ultrasounds that both babies have already started practicing their breathing skills, so that makes me feel better.
@highsteaks oh goodness girly. Praying the next u/s looks good and that both babies are growing/sharing well

Had my appointment today at 31+2. Things are crazy. I've been having a lot of pressure and contractions. My fundal height dropped and u/s showed why. Babe is completely breech with his butt in my pelvis. My tech said he better not drop much more because he would be coming out. Luckily, cervix is still long and no sign of funneling. He weighs 4lbs even and is measuring 2 weeks ahead. I have to keep track of my cramping and contractions so I don't go into labor. I start twice weekly NSTs next week with a steroid shot. I must have looked extra pitiful today because my dr hugged me and told me I could do it. Frankly, I just want to cry.
@wildrainbow you can do it, and your little one sounds like he’s growing so exceptionally well. i hope your body stops giving you such a hard time. and no shame in crying—put on a sappy movie and let it all out
@wildrainbow solidarity in twice weekly NSTs, my first starts tomorrow. Also asking OB for steroid shots at my apt tomorrow. Randomly took my BP at home today bc I had a headache, surprise surprise, it was high. At this point, going on bedrest with a toddler and high energy dog is hardly feasible. I’m just hoping to make it a few more weeks at least. I was hoping for at least October. Ugh.
@wildrainbow *hugs* you're doing great momma! I don't know if I could handle all you're dealing with

@highsteaks Thank you for the update. TTTS is so, so scary and I'm glad you're getting all the monitoring you need. My sister had TTTS and had her boys around 32 weeks. It was very scary for a while, but they are 9 years old now! It seems like, no matter what happens, you're in a good place right now since the babies are big and are practicing their breathing skills. Please keep us updated, I'll be thinking about you and your girls. @wildrainbow You got this! You can do it and we're all here for you. I hate that you've had to go through so much during this pregnancy instead of having an easy ride, but you're in the home stretch now and I'm glad you're getting monitored frequently to keep track of things. @kamahina9 At my last appointment, the doctor poked around my pelvis and belly and said he could feel that the baby was head down for sure. Before that, I had thought that she was head down too, since I felt so much of her movement up by my navel/ribs and not as much in my pelvis. I also always feel her hiccups in my pelvis, which made me think that's where her head was.
@highsteaks Oh no! I'm always so nervous about that when they give me the estimated weights and we talk about the discordance between them. Let's hope that it stays "on the fringe" and doesn't progress further. On the plus side, it sounds like you're being monitored closely. I'll be praying for you and those sweet babies.
When is your appointment? Thursday
How far along will you be? 29w 6d
What is being addressed? It's my first appointment with my new OB...so LOTS to discuss. I need to go over my birth plan (vaginally if the babies are in position for it), talk about lefty's Pulmonary Stenosis, get my FMLA paperwork started, etc.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: I'm still a little leery to switch OBs in the third trimester, but I have no choice. I'm basically only going to have 7 weeks to get to know this guy and have him get familiar with my case before I deliver. So...that's a little nerve wracking. I've heard LOTS of positive feedback about him, though, so I think we'll be okay.
We also have our Baby Bootcamp on Saturday - that should be interesting, for sure!!
thanks everyone for the kind words and thoughts. thanks @offtoneverland for sharing your sister’s story. i’m so close to 32 weeks too, which is the date that the mfm doc said yesterday that they’ll likely avoid in utero intervention and opt to deliver instead. reading those success stories of birth from that point and even earlier is putting me as “at ease” as i could be with what’s going on, especially since it looks like the girls are working out their lungs already, which i think is a very reassuring sign.
Just had an NST and an OB apt. Surprisingly everything went better than expected. I was definitely preparing for the worst. My BP at the apt was fine. OB doesn’t think I’ll even need steroid shots this time, and my U/S from Monday showed baby is much more developed in utero than DD was at this time. So we are staying optimistic and continuing to coast along for now.
But of course he said I need to watch my weight. I didn’t gain at all 1st tri, only 5lbs 2nd tri, and now just in the last month or two I’m up to 30. Whoops. But honestly im still exercising regularly, eating lots of fruits and veggies. Definitely too many carbs, but oh well.
@highsteaks & @wildrainbow - I'm so glad that the Dr's are there to help monitor your situations and offer solutions should anything come up. Sending positive vibes your way!
Yesterday's appointment went well, I suppose. My blood sugar is looking good but now I'm anemic. Gotta start taking iron & vitamin c. My next appointment is in 2weeks and at that point the midwife will feel for where the head is. My Dr's office doesn't do anymore unltrasounds unless there is an issue with the pregnancy. If I want to do another one on my own, it's about $100 through a private company. I'm considering it just cause I wanna see the little guy again but since it's not necessary, I'm trying to resist.
Well I just had my full appointment. I went from 1 to 2 cm dilated and am 60% thinned. She sent my urine for a full culture to see if any infection is causing this. It is in my history though so I won’t be surprised when it comes back fine. She said next week if anything more progresses she’s putting me on bed rest. We need to make it to at least 34 weeks so hopefully he plays nice!
The usual. Peed in a cup, got weighed, measured my belly, heard the strong heartbeat, talked about growth ultrasound at 34 Weeks.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: I am measuring THREE weeks ahead and kind of freaking out. My son was over 9 lbs and my daughter was just under 9 lbs so I’m terrified of an 11 lb baby lol. Maybe just a lot of fluid? Or the position of my little guy?
@ashkee05 FX LO stays put and you don't prpgress any further

@booksandcoffee I am measuring almost 3 weeks behind on fundal height, while baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead via u/s. It could very well be baby's position. My boy is already practically engaged in my pelvis in the breech position. Hopefully it's just baby's position.
@ashkee05 - I hope that sweet baby will stay put until at least 34 weeks! @booksandcoffee - Hopefully it's just babe's position and growth will be relatively on track. DS was just under 10lbs so I'm nervous for a 10-11lb baby too!

I can’t wait for the ultrasound in a week and a half to get a more accurate idea of size. It could definitely be his position, my doctor keeps reassuring me.
