While I LOVE fall, I’m not a Halloween fan at all, never have been. I hate dressing up and have thought it was lame for as long as I can remember. I have no reason as to why...just not my thing!
And family theme costumes are the worst! They drive me as crazy as matching outfits, haha.
I don't live in the south, but I hate football. I'm kind of mediocre on fall things. I love the fall, but I'm not obsessed with pumpkin spice or anything. I like fall more than the summer, but I think that's more of a popular opinion than a UO! Oh, this might be a UO. I don't really like Thanksgiving. Turkey is kind of gross and I much prefer Christmas!
While I despise dressing up and never did it, having kids has made me love Halloween. We decorate now and I love taking them trick or treating. But I’m definitely NOT dressing up for anything! I also may be a candy junky so that might be another reason I was happy to have kids that can trick or treat
i love the fall weather and wish we could have it year round.
Football is so dumb and I seriously consider deactivating fb every single year during football season. I was MN born and now live in WI so I have a good mix of friends and the Viking/packer crap is so annoying!!!
@offtoneverland I am also not a fan of turkey...which I rediscovered when DH and I made a full Thanksgiving dinner for ourselves a couple of years ago. LOL He kept asking why I wasn't eating the turkey (which I made and he thought tasted great) and I eventually had to say, "I forgot that I don't like turkey!"
I am also not a fan of pumpkin anything - pie, pumpkin spice, etc. No thanks. Now apple cider and apple/apple cider flavored stuff...I'M ALL IN!
I HATE pumpkin spice anything with a firey passion of ten thousand suns. I hate the smell, the ridiculousness of how ppl act when it comes back around, the whole nine.
I am so shocked you ladies don't like football! I guess I don't watch NFL, but college football is my jam! I spend way too much time on the couch watching football on Saturdays.
Also I was totally thinking about dressing up as a family for Halloween this year. We'll see how easy I can make that happen, because I will likely have a baby a few days later. My love for Halloween was definitely renewed after having DS. I think that is kind of true for all holidays really. It's fun seeing them through a child's eyes.
My UO is not fall related, but I am not a fan of blunt bangs on any adult.

this household loves halloween. we start talking exterior decorating ideas in july. we have a family costume. we know we are nerds, but we see it as our family tradition and a hobby that lets us utilize our artistic & building skills. dd has a ton of monster/ToTing/spooky themed books.
we also start decorating for xmas the weekend after halloween.
my fall related uo: i do judge the heck out of parents who take their < 1.5yr old ToTing. i’m talking about the ones with no older siblings, riding around in stroller, can’t even hold the candy bucket so the parents have their hands out collecting a ton of candy probably not for their child.
i’m not a fan of legging outfits with tops that don’t cover the butt. also: pointless scarves, pumpkin spice lattes, pictures with starbucks cups, and non-halloween related fall decorations.
@highsteaks your comment about the littles trick or treating makes me lol so hard. Cause last year when we went my 1ish yo had no idea what was going on, but we were out for the older dude. He got so mad he couldn’t go in the houses. Like why are you taking me here and not letting me in?! It was hilarious. We literally only walked one block though because it’s more scary than anything with a little who just wants to run.
@offtoneverland omg... How could you dislike Thanksgiving!? It's hands down my FAVORITE holiday. #irreperabledamagetofriendship
I'm meh about NFL & college football. I watch it cause MH enjoys it. Depends on my mood if I actually pay attention to the game or not
I'll drink a PSL like once a year and then I'm good. But +1 for warm apple cider. Mmmm...
I enjoy Halloween but only when we get to take M out trick or treating which unfortunately is not often. Usually we have her the opposite weekend
I LOVE fall. The crispy leaves, the sweatshirt weather before it gets too cold. Yes yes and more yes!

@mockingjay1 and @runningyogimama ha! Y'all will hate me then. I've had bangs for the last 8 years probably. They are my favorite thing about my hair because it is stick straight and has no volume. Definitely make me feel more put together and I get compliments on them weekly, so they shall stay. They aren't blunt bangs though, so maybe we can still be friends.
I love college football. I guess that is the UO here since so many seem to hate it. I also love Thanksgiving, but am 100% ok with Christmas decorations going up beforehand. Having my Christmas stuff up brings me so much happiness, so I figure why not enjoy it as long as I can!
TB updated on my phone, and ever since I'm having so much struggle with the Community area. Frustrating when I don't want to get my laptop out in the evenings.
I guess it's an UO but I would take summer over fall anyyyyy day. Not a fan of Halloween, I hate dressing up, and being in a school around Halloween is like a nightmare.. I will admit I do love handing out treats to the kids trick or treating because they're adorable and so excited. Thanksgiving is not as huge of a holiday in Canada as it is in the States (I feel anyway) and college football is not a thing around here either. Pumpkin spice = yuck. My goodness, I sound like such a grouch! lol The only good thing about this fall is we're that much closer to meeting baby
I love fall even more this year because I’ve been so damn hot all summer! I love football, hate pumpkin spice lattes but love most other things pumpkin, hate apples but love apple cider - specifically I love apple cider and captain Morgan but sadly that’ll have to wait until next fall.
Does this make me a semi-basic b? Probably. I’ve lived in leggings since the temps dropped below 70.
I’m with those who aren’t particularly fans of Thanksgiving, but it’s DH’s favorite holiday so I tough it out and do all the things for him. I hate pumpkin flavored anything.. pumpkin spice, pumpkin pie, anything and everything. Even though I was raised in the south, I think college football is overrated. But I do watch NFL- my whole family is die-hard, life-long Eagles fans. Like @mrsdrez, I far prefer summer to fall. I agree with @highsteaks on the dislike of taking little ones not even old enough to remotely comprehend ToTing.. it’s just parents taking candy for themselves. On this note, the absolute strangest thing I’ve seen was during ToTing last year in our new home in Texas. We were handing out candy to all the cute little kiddos when at a certain point fully dress up adults would come up with kids with their own candy bags and basically ToT for their own candy with the kids. Like, not just going up with a shy kid and giving them some comfort going up to strangers, but legit ToTing themselves.... I think my own UO is giving each holiday its time for decor. Halloween comes first, so no Thanksgiving or Christmas specific things until that’s done. Then Thanksgiving gets its time to shine, so no Christmas until that’s over. Then the Christmas decor can go up!
@KellyT22 it’s been super weird for me. It updated, then made me change my password, which of course I had forgotten. So had to go through that. But I keep having to re sign in in order for new notifications to show up. Otherwise it says no new posts, which I know is a lie! Lol
I am definitely in the minority in that I hate fall weather. It's like too hot for cold weather clothes but too cold for hot weather clothes. I prefer the hot summer months!
I love pumpkin flavor! made pumpkin muffins yesterday and got some pumpkin cream cheese for my english muffins. It's still to hot for PSLs but they are the best Starbucks holiday drink.
@offtoneverland whaaaat? Thanksgiving is the BEST! It has all the good parts of Christmas (seeing family, eating a lot of yummy food) without the added stress of shopping and going to way too many parties. DH is one of those die hards that gets mad at Christmas decor and carols before black friday.
@runningyogimama I used to not really care about Halloween but our neighborhood gets so into it. We give out one piece of candy each and we will go through 500-700 pieces in two hours. DH gets really into decorating, so I'm like, well if you can't beat em, join em, and last year we did a family theme Halloween costume! Will probably do it again this year. @rosebud1230 we have seen some adults who have their own candy bags and it is weird! I try to just be a sport about it. But some people in the neighborhood refuse to give candy to anyone past puberty, which is fair. @highsteaks we took DD at just over 2, just to a few houses. She was into the idea of going around, holding her basket out, and saying "tick teat!" The nice thing about that age is she was really not aware of the fact that we just hid all her candy afterward.
I love fall weather and smells and smells and colors so much.
Football makes me fall asleep. I have never watched a game in its entirety during my entire 36 years of life lol. So boring. I do love all the food and snacks people serve during football watching parties though!
I love Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. I just love holidays and seeing family. And the holiday traditions we have built with my little family.
My husband calls me a basic white girl all the time, no shame! I baked a pumpkin chocolate chip streusel cake on September 1st to celebrate Fall I was ridiculously excited to buy my Bath & Body Works fall candles, and I live for the PSL (iced right now cause Florida won’t feel like Fall until December).
We don’t watch college ball in our house but I’m totally down for the spirit.
+1 for letting each holiday have its moment. We have Fall decor up for September, add in Halloween-themed items for October only then we switch them out for turkey stuff in November, then we decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I get real annoyed when my IG feed fills up with full on Christmas decor before October has even finished.
@MouseMama817 I am totally that girl who decorates for Christmas in early November. I try to make the magic of the season last as long as possible! We don’t start any of our traditions until after Thanksgiving (elf on the shelf, driving around to see Christmas lights, visiting Santa, adopting a family to buy presents for, leaving little baskets of goodies on neighbors porches “ from the neighborhood Elves”, etc, etc) but our decorations usually go up in early November.
I hate fall colors. I hate orange and brown and yellow. I also HATE Thanksgiving. I hate turkey. I basically hate all things associated with normal November graphics and feelings.
@KellyT22 lol do you also hate pilgrims and multicolored corn? Because then you are really out of luck! I’m fine to start a fb group whenever, I just don’t want the responsibility of organizing it
One of my friends from college lives directly in the path of the hurricane and was told to evacuate. she posted “ we decided to stay. Please respect our choice. We have food, water, a generator, and lots of love. Please don’t judge us but pray for us. We understand the risks but this is the best choice for us. “
Im judging.
My husband commented “ I’m glad you are stocked up on food and love but what’s going to help the first responders who have to rescue you?” And she deleted him lol
Do those who hate Fall weather live somewhere with 4 true season? How can anyone actually hate fall weather?!? It’s perfection sandwiched between gross hot and humid weather (summer) and terrible cold weather/snow (winter).
I’m also down for a FB book whenever, if someone is up to make it/add people (I just don’t have the time to - I did it with my M14 group and it was a lot of work).
@booksandcoffee Give your husband a high five for me. His response is dead on. My family is full of first responders that have had to risk their lives saving people who aren’t using common sense in these storms too often. I had family working Katrina, Sandy, and the less severe (but a big deal for my hometown) Matthew rescues and they are prepped for whatever Florence brings. Thankfully they have all done so safely, but it shouldn’t have to be done nearly as often as it is done.

I live in the Midwest so can only imagine the stress, chaos, and financial impact of evacuating. But when you’re in the direct path and told to evacuate and you make the choice not to, you’re not only putting yourselves at danger but many other lives as well because there’s a high chance you will need to be rescued. Extra food, water, and “love” will only take you so far. I’m so thankful they don’t have children or I would be all over her re: their safety.
@offtoneverland Fellow Thanksgiving-hater here! It's the worst. I get to hate it double this year because my birthday is on Thanksgiving.
Well, I never said I hated Thanksgiving. I would enjoy it a lot more if I lived near my family. It just feels a little pointless making a huge meal for 2 people (because DD is picky and won't eat any of it besides maybe some corn). I prefer Christmas so much more because I'm greedy and I love presents!

If I lived on the west coast, summer would be my absolute favorite season. I loooove the dry, desert heat. The humidity on the east coast kills me though. I can't stand it!
@lostarz14 same! DDs hair will not part, just lays flat on her face, had to give her bangs to keep it out of her eyes lol. I think it’s cute on her though, of course.
