@Jens_Hoes Great topic!! I thought of this over the weekend and then completely forgot it come Monday.
I have two interesting/weird facts about myself:
I can lick my elbow.
I collect chapsticks. All kinds and flavors (no colors, please!). I've got over like 350 and my collection continues to grow. My brother just bought me a 12 pack from Hershey Park over the weekend. I change flavors around once a month. I rarely finish a whole tube.
Me: 31
DH: 29, SA - Great
Married: June 12,2011
TTC #1: 1/2014
Diagnosis: Hypothalamic Amenorrhea
Treatment: Clomid: 50mg, 100mg, 150mg - not successful and not monitored
I have to think harder for something interesting about myself but @AdorkablePixie we are kindred spirits! My collection is not only chapsticks but also lipsticks/lipglosses and my cousin took this funny picture awhile back because they always make fun of how many I have in my purse at any given time.
I'm going to continue the theme of weird anatomical traits. I can make a clover with my tongue. I also have several mixed/incomplete genetic traits. One earlobe is attached and the other is not. I only have a smile dimple on one side of my face. And I'm somewhat ambidextrous. I write and throw / do sports mainly with my right hand (I can write legibly with my left hand, but I don't do it often. If I practiced a bit I bet no one could tell it wasn't my dominant writing hand) but I eat, drink, and do a few other things with my left hand. Things like makeup, toothbrushing, and contact lenses I use both.
@hkom I'm sorta ambidextrous, too! I don't practice much with my non-dominant hand (which changes depending on what I'm doing), but I am usually passable with both.
I have weird anatomical traits too @hkom The 2nd toe on my left foot is longer than my big toe, but on my right foot the 2nd toe is shorter. I also have four "sections" on my left pinky finger and only 3 on my right pinky finger.
My interesting tid bit is my father was the ceo of Francis Ford Coppola's companies (up until a few years ago when he retired) and I've met him multiple times. When we were visiting my father around 2000 we went to Francis' house and Leonardo Dicaprio and Matt Damon were there, so we have pictures with them, which I can share when move to Fbook. I've also been featured in Sports Illustrated (the championship education after the Uconn women's bball team won in 2009) and was in part of the centerfold picture, so I joke I was a Sports Illustrated Centerfold
Fun topic! Let's see, anatomically interesting, I have the Big Dipper in freckles on my forearm and I have a birthmark on my forehead. Other interesting facts, I used to sing opera (it was originally my major in college before I switched to film/television halfway through) and have been married twice (once in my mid twenties and then currently to my wonderful husband of 5 years) and...both guys have the same first name! (It's a fairly common first name, so it's not a CRAZY coincidence or anything, but still.)
So cool you guys! I don't have any great tongue tricks (lol, heh). But I do have 2 different ears. One has a fold in the top and the other doesn't, and one sticks out and the other lays flat.
As far as other semi interesting things, I was in a bluegrass band for 5 years and I have been bungee jumping and skydiving
I can cross one eye at a time, that's about all I've got I guess lol.
Also, I did figure skating for 12 years growing up. Umm...we met Alton Brown and The Property Brothers all in the 2016 year. So yes, my son met three celebrities before he turned 1. Like @Jens_Hoes, I can share those once we move to FB if anyone wants proof lol. I know I've shown my son a time or two here, but I don't like to much.
All I can think of for now: I grew up on a farm outside of a town of 300 people. We didn't have cable & when I was in middle school we finally got dial up internet. My mom's parents (in Iowa) didn't have running water and that was just normal to me -- I'd visit them for a week every summer & got used to never putting toilet paper in the toilet or flushing unless it was #2. I live back in my hometown now & after living in the city (Omaha hah) I really appreciate the small town life again. But I would't survive without the internet or Amazon, obviously.
I've been to ~35 States, although don't ask me to list all of them because I don't remember.
I've also been to Australia, Brazil, England, Mexico, Jamaica, Vietnam, Thailand, Ukraine & Canada (obviously), and some stopovers that I don't count because I never left the airport.
It's hard finding interesting facts about myself So I'm going to treat this as a first day of semester.
Hello - my name is Echo. I'm a technical writer but I really love woodworking and metalsmithing. My eyeliner is tattooed on my face and I am allergic to bananas. My husband and I eloped in Cozumel Mexico and are slowly planning a very late wedding reception for the families to meet each other. We have two rescued dogs, and only one of them has manners. We're excited to welcome a baby in December and can't wait to see if the kid can tan (like me) or if he has "moon skin" (like his dad).

@Jens_Hoes Just about! My dad has met DH's parents, but not their spouses. DH has met three of my 20+ cousins, and one grandmother (he has met my parents and their spouses). Conversely, I've met his entire family, including cousins he hasn't met My family didn't really meet my first husband either - they mostly just know that I married another white guy, haha!

I played soccer in college but was actually recruited for two different sports (cross country and baseball). Soccer was maybe my third best sport of four at the time.
there are two motivations in sports, which is yours?
@katy0990 Six years! The main reason DH hasn't met my family is because they NEVER LEAVE our hometown - however DH & I both moved away 15 years ago. His family on the other hand comes to visit us, or meet us in other cities - they're way more fun than my travel-phobic blood-sharers!

@ab_canada I started off going to the baseball practices after my soccer practice every day, but the baseball coach at the time told me I would have very little playing time because the other two at my position were a Junior and a Senior. I wasn't willing to sit the bench for two years just because they were older, so I focused exclusively on soccer. The coach only lasted another year, but I was too invested in soccer to try out for the college team again, although I did continue to play summer leagues for a while.

Well, okay here's one semi-interesting fact that I can't remember if I've shared (in which case you're probably all like SHADDUP PENSIVE and I'm truly sorry): H and I spent our first year of marriage in Kolkata, India. He was on a Fulbright scholarship but being paid his second lieutenant salary so we lived like royalty (albeit royalty before air conditioning came around) and also collected Hardship Duty Pay, haha. I spent most of the year learning the Bengali language, because what else was there for me to do, and now I've forgotten almost all of it. Boo on me.

Like @hkom and @runrinserepeat, I’m a little ambidextrous. I’m mostly right-handed, but can write legibly if slowly with my left hand, and I can draw much better with my left hand than my right.
@CecilB93 It’s not bad actually, cosmetic tattooists like to use a topical numbing gel so their clients don’t twitch and ruin everything. I got it because I’m lazy and like looking made up. I bought my mom tattooed eyeliner because she’s allergic to makeup, but not tattoo pigment

@CecilB93 It’s handy! I think I’m going to get my lips done next year - but those aren’t as long lasting as eyeliner or eyebrows. None are *technically* permanent though, they aren’t as deep as regular tattoos and eventually fade.

@echo-charlietango I want to as well, but even though I live in a big metro area, I haven't found a place I'm really impressed with. Everywhere I've looked half the pics looks great and the others look so so or bad
I met my first husband in an AOL chat room when we were 14 and we finally met in person when we were 21. He was active duty Army at that time (2004) in Iraq. He was based in Germany so I got to go to Europe and we went to Paris for 3 nights - amazing! He also wooed me in NYC prior to the Europe trip and we stayed at a suite in the Waldorf Astoria that was huge. A couple years later he did an interview for BBC about the midterm election in Ohio (2006) from a veteran point of view which ultimately led to us both getting interviewed by Dateline NBC (second trip to NYC) in 2007. Aired in 2008. You can see me crying on national television - god awful. Things didn’t work out between us in the end when I finally realized it wasn’t the PTSD that made him insanely difficult to be with it. That’s just who he had always been - took me 10 years to figure that out but we were only married for 3.5 of those years. Happy ending - my current husband is the love of my life and we have a healthy, respectful, loving relationship and a baby girl who will be here soon!!!
Anatomically the only thing I can think of is that I can also cross one eye at a time, like @CecilB93
I'm a reality show junkie.
I have a horrible tramp stamp from my teenage years that is next on the list to be worked on/covered up by DH. (He's a tattoo artist, but did NOT tattoo that one lol). It's of the bat symbol. I don't even really particularly like batman.
True Life: I was addicted to afrin nose spray for about 10 years. It was horrible. lol
I'm sure there are more interesting things about me, but I can't think of any right now!

Also, I have a mole on the bottom of my foot. So clearly it doesn’t take much sun exposure for my skin to freak the fuck out.
