I just want to say that I'm sorry I haven't been super active here. I am finding it much more difficult to be active this time around than it was with DD, during my last BMB. I'm going to try harder. I found my last BMB to play a huge role in my pregnancy and now child rearing.
@rachel2066 I think it's said where a couple is registered on every shower (wedding/baby) I've ever attended. I don't think it's tacky, since it's common knowledge that people do register. I know that I've liked knowing where they are registered at.
+1 to please make my life easy and put your registry info where I can see it. We all know gifts are apart of these events so help us out. I do feel super weird about doing it myself though
@Rachel2066 I have hosted a ton of showers - both bridal & baby - and always put at the bottom of the invite "xxxx is registered at store" I'm not a fan of the inserts because people lose them then can't remember and as long as you know the store and persons name, they are super easy to find. And I'm assuming if you're invited, you certainly know their name!
Another +1 here to including your registry. I am one of those people who often get gift cards for people. I think they are helpful because there is so much you need after baby that you don't realize. Also, with Baby R Us being gone, you do have to search more for where people are registered.
@kns1988 I got one in the front of my leg the other night and it was brutal. I have never had one there. I got Charlie horses so bad in high school and both my previous pregnancies. I'm dreading it! I'm sorry they have started already for you.
Hi guys. I already complained in pregnancy brain but this has been the week back to work from Hell. Between being locked out of a running car with DH having no way home from work to help me get it open (since I had dropped him off and was supposed to pick him up), to a few days later me leaving DH at home with no keys to the only car there on DDs first ever day of daycare (and DHs 12 hour work shift), to now DD waking up yesterday morning with a 103 fever and the start of coxsackie (which of course just started going around her daycare the week she happens to start) - needless to say I’m beat.
My poor girl is so miserable. Thank god it’s DHs weekend off so I don’t have to deal alone. We’re going to try and just ride it out and enjoy the first football Sunday with some snacks while cuddling her on the couch. Praying that I don’t get it but honestly it seems inevitable. Which will make week two back go work horrendous.
anyway sorry I’ve been MIA but I’m thinking of you all and trying to get this crazy back to work life in order!

Thanks guys. I lit some fall candles and busted out one of my favorite no work football snacks (cream cheese with pepper jelly - use crackers to ‘dip’ it). It’s rainy and in the 60s and the perfect fall like day so I’m trying to enjoy it! I’ve gotten a lot of DD snuggles which is the only silver lining to a sick normally active 14 month old.

@BitterBetty12 I'm so sorry for your stressful week. Sounds like you found a couple moments to sneak in some relaxation. I hope this week is better for you. And that cream cheese and pepper jelly...yum...I forgot how good that is.
Just popping in to say sorry I’ve been a ghost. Bump issues plus work/life have made me less inclined but I need to get back on the horse.
Going to break up w DDs daycare today in favor of a slightly closer more “school” type daycare where she and #2 can actually be engaged during the day vs just being kept alive. Not looking forward to it since I’ll also be angling to get back some prepaid money holding the spot for #2. Ugh.
Sorry your week was shit @BitterBetty12 I hope yesterday helped just a little.
@BitterBetty12 I hope the fall candles and pepper jelly helped! Those are seriously some of my favorite things. I was just talking to my sister about how much I wanted a charcuterie plate with all the meats & cheeses & pepper jelly.
@kianarain this belongs in pregnancy brain BUT I’ve been trying to think of the phrase ‘charcuterie plate’ for like. A week. I would loveeeee one.
Thanks everyone. I did enjoy the fall-ness of yesterday and the family time even though DD was pitifully sad for most of it.
Last night was the worst. She basically did some type of crying and whining all night long. The longest stretch we got from her was probably like 5:30-7:30 and that was with her squished between my chest and the snoogle. She is starting to break out more in the rash and blisters now which hopefully means the fever phase is over. But I have a feeling it’ll be another tough night. DH is Home tomorrow but I have work so this should be fun.

Lol I'm from the South and used the word charcuterie to my dad on the phone recently @kianarain and @BitterBetty12 . He was like huh? I'm like fancy meats and cheese.
I'm started having lower back pain and shooting to my butt on one side. I think its because I've let my posture change a lot and am schlumping my bump forward. I'm trying to walk and sit better today and hoping to make it to pre-natal yoga tonight but it hurts.
We've had a few staff people at my org go on maternity leave early for complications. Today my boss said if I go on maternity leave early she will kill herself. With people leaving and vacancies it's like I'm holding up our dept of 7. No pressure!
@galactickates and @kns1988 I am taking magnesium, too. I take 250 mg per night. My primary care physician said they can help with overall heart health (I get annoying palpitations), leg cramps and the nervous system.
@greenhillgirl try taking a tennis ball and placing it where the pain is in your glutes and rolling against a wall. Once you find the tender spot, roll right there. I hope that makes sense. It helps me a lot!
