April 2019 Moms

10 weeks and symptoms decreasing.

I’m almost 11 weeks now and I had really bad nausea weeks 6, 7, and 8. I was also suffering from bad fatigue. I would mostly lay in bed on my days off. I had my first ultrasound at 9 weeks 2 days and I saw my little peanut and heard his/her heartbeat (176 bpm). Everything was great so no worries. However, starting week 10 my symptoms are not as strong. I still have to take naps throughout the day and I have seen an increase in discharge. No more vomiting or dry heaving though. Breast are not as sore. Does anyone else have this happen? Is this normal? I know symptoms decrease a bit, but I thought it was during the second trimester. I’m not sure if I’m just being paranoid.

Re: 10 weeks and symptoms decreasing.

  • I personally would try not to worry unless there is bleeding or cramping. You’re very close to second tri at this point.

  • Typically the closer you get to the second trimester, the better you to start to feel. Try not to stress if you aren’t bleeding or cramping! The placental will slowly take over your hormone productions and that helps to alleviate symptoms.

I stressed a lot in my last pregnancy and used a Doppler at home regularly until I could feel consistent baby movement.
  • Some people feel better as the second tri approaches. Some don’t feel better until they’re much farther along. Some don’t get any morning sickness at all.

Dont use your symotoms as a barometer for baby’s health. Enjoy feeling better!

  • My doc said most women start feeling good anywhere between 9-14 weeks :) I’m not even 9 yet and my symptoms are getting better. Try to enjoy not being sick! Sounds like you have nothing to worry about.
  • I’m almost 10 weeks and I am also noticing my symptoms letting up a lot. So thankful!
  • Absolutely normal.  I’m only 7 weeks tomorrow, so right in the sick of it.  Can’t wait to be at your stage.  This is baby #4 for me.  Now that the nausea recedes, the cravings begin!  My DD was an April baby too and so many in our group started craving cinnamon buns and Pumpkin Spice when our appetites returned.
