@thismustbethemom the last project I finished was my sons blanket. I found the pattern on Pinterest, I was really into hexagons at the time. I don’t know how to insert a link, so I will have to learn and get back to you on that, haha. But I’d love to see a craft thread!
@rfurf Thanks for sharing the daisy blanket, I really love daisies. Did you use the same colors? And I love talking to the elderly. Their stories are so fascinating. I also love to garden and try to find fellow gardeners that can pass along their wisdom. I’m an old lady at heart, ha!
@dreamingof3 oooh, an ultrasound cross stitch would be really neat! There’s software out there where you can convert a picture into a cross stitch pattern...
secicc12 Another mom here who was not blessed with the crafty gene. When Etsy came into existence, my world was made! I love crafty things, but have no clue how to do any of it. I look forward to seeing everyone's creations though!
@secicc12 me too!!! Short weeks are the worst as a teacher because kids always (especially middle schoolers) check out earlier too so management of kiddos is frustrating to say the least. I’ve also been so moody and short-tempered this week so the rambunctious ones are really learning about my fun side right away this year.
Ok gals - a random Q. I am scheduled to get my hair cut and roots colored on Tuesday. I work from home full time so this is normally not something I'd care about right now -- however, I'm going up to NYC to my company's annual meeting late next week. My roots are something scary! And no one at work knows I'm PG, obviously.
Keep the appointment? Use foils only so as to not put the color on my hair? Skip it and rock the ever-multiplying greys?
@bluesky24 I'd keep it. I'm always about waiting until the last minute to touch up my ugly gray roots, but for a work meeting, I would definitely. I'm honestly not sure on what's allowed with hair color while KU these days, but I feel like it's NBD anymore (is that wrong?).
@GeorgiaGirl1230 thanks!! I’m with you. I felt that way too...like it was not a thing...but you always hear old wives tales like that. My hair is desperately needing some TLC so I’m keeping the appt!
@bluesky24 -- I had a hair coloring appt very early on in my last pregnancy and was worried about it and asked my doctor. She said it was totally fine. Go get yourself pampered!
Hope everyone has a great weekend! I am not a great bumper on Sats and Suns so I will catch up with you all on Monday!

@bluesky24 I was under the impression that the concern with hair dye is the fumes, not necessarily dye touching your skin. If your salon is well ventilated, I'd say keep the appointment.
@bluesky24 personally, I’d embrace the greys but I have the same problem with hair appt. I have one for next weekend that has been on the books for two months. I just read though that you don’t need to worry about it like once thought. More of a ventilation thing, like @poshspice said.
I Wish i were crafty! In my head I have all these ideas, but never turns out like I want or end up having time to do any of it. I used to cross-stitch and crochet when I was younger but haven’t since I have been an adult- I don’t know if I even remember any of the crochet stitches. I would join the others and just buy the crafty things!
@bluesky24 If you don’t want to dye, you should check out these color powders they have at the drug store. You apply them to your grey roots and it covers it up. Just in case you wanted to wait! I have no idea about risks of hair dye! Good luck!
Random Q: my iPhone app for this website is pretty buggy. Anyone else have this issue? Are y’all just using a computer to post?
@guitarra1614 I haven't had too many issues with the app but I do find that sometimes getting back to the board from within a thread is difficult. It's as if the back button is too small and I can't hit it properly. I definitely prefer the desktop site.

@guitarra1614 I definitely prefer the full website on the computer to the app. I'll use the app to read and maybe do a small post/response, but I do my serious Bumping from the computer.
@sparrowsnest22 you're welcome! I made my blanket with white, pink and purple since I had a ton of yarn leftover from other projects. Hexagon blanket sounds really cool, I'd love to see how that one looks! haha yes, I'm an old lady at heart too! I think I get along better with old women then I do people my own age, I have much more in common with them!
