1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
16 weeks, avocado
2. How are you feeling?
So much better as far as nausea and exhaustion, but still moody and emotionally sensitive.
3. Any appointments this week?
Tomorrow for a regular prenatal appointment
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
**TRIGGER: weight and body image discussed** My weight gain has been out of control. We're going on vacation to Hawaii in a couple weeks and I'm trying not to focus on the fact that I don't look so much pregnant as borderline obese in all of my swimsuits and summerwear **END TRIGGER**
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why?
In my house because it's comfortable and I don't have to worry about the annoyances of hospital goings-on while I try to rest up postpartum.

1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? - 16 weeks, avocado
2. How are you feeling? - Tired. Since week 14 I’ve been on Unisom + B6, and while it’s helped my nausea I’m constantly drowsy. Other than that, I’m relieved to not be puking.
3. Any appointments this week? - Next appt is a routine OB on the 13th.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? - I just had my leftover burrito from Monday and it was so delicious I almost cried.
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why? - Never even considered a non-hospital/birthcenter birth, so I have no idea. My apartment is out of the question, I’d be scared my neighbors would call the police due to my screaming. Honestly can’t think of anywhere. I’ve never had that hospital fear a lot of people have, so I really don’t mind having a hospital birth. Doctors and nurses make me feel safe, they know way more about this stuff than I do.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
17 weeks, pomegranate
2. How are you feeling?
A bit tired, sleep has been difficult. And it's made my brain very foggy. Otherwise good! I'm loving actually feeling pregnant.
3. Any appointments this week?
No
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
So a few weeks ago I complained about DH being away for training. It has gotten worse, somehow. They announced last week that they were adding an extra week of training (thanks weed legalization!) and pushing back his graduation by ten days. He is now graduating and getting to finally come home the day before my EDD. I still can't quite believe it. I've poured over the odds of giving birth by day and I am holding on really hard to the fact that this is my first. The one pleasant surprise is that he spoke to the course director and he assured DH that if I go into labour they will let him leave without repercussions, even if he misses an exam or something like that. So he shouldn't miss the actual birth, just a chunk of the labour. You'd think that would be a given but he had colleagues tell him that when they were in his shoes, if they'd left for their kid's birth, they would have gotten kicked out so... Thank goodness they have gotten with the times.
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why?
Home!! Having a homebirth is my absolute dream. I hope it'll work out one day. But as it is, I think we live just slightly too far away from the hospital to make it comfortable.
@MrsCaliRN, thanks for clarifying how this works for due dates! I'm a FTM and still pretty new to the community, so even after reading through all the instruction boards and lots of lurking things can be a little confusing.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 17, pomegranate
2. How are you feeling? Pretty good. Still tired with this hot weather we've been having and not sleeping soundly due to crazy dreams.
3. Any appointments this week? Nope
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? I'm pretty certain I felt baby move for the first time twice at work today!!
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why? At home so I could be more comfortable and not have to travel.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
16 weeks, avocado
2. How are you feeling?
hungry
3. Any appointments this week?
it was last week.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
So my friend’s wedding is in Nov. I have been planning on going. I was going to buy plane tickets soon. But then I read that if I do get diagnosed with placenta previa, it means no traveling. So nowI have to wait for my sonogram which is around the RSVP date to know if I am clear.
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why?
I would do a hospital again. My experience was okay.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
17 weeks a pomegranate
2. How are you feeling?
Tired. I get up 3 to 4 tines a night to pee. I think my baby is training me to be ready for her
3. Any appointments this week?
None, but next week is the anatomy scan!
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
None of my bras fit!!!
5. GTKY:
If I had a nicer home I would do it there.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
18 weeks! Artichoke/sweet potato!
2. How are you feeling?
Still feel pretty normal except for my lower back pain! I swept and swiffered the floors the other day and I could barely finish my back hurt so bad! I'm gonna try adding some prenatal yoga into my routine and try tightening my core next time I'm doing chores.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nope, 2 weeks!
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
My mother-in-law is the sweetest!! She asked me if I needed any maternity clothes and is going to buy me a few basics, which is wonderful because our budget is pretty tight right now so I'm trying not to buy anything until I absolutely need it! I work from home, so I really don't need much, but I was struggling to find something to wear to church other than one of the 3 dresses that I wear all the time! My high-waisted skirts just don't look right anymore! Haha
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why?
I don't really know where else people give birth besides at home. Seems like it would be messy! I think I'll just go for birth center with a doula? I wanna have a natural birth, so I'd very much like to have a doula! I know they can be expensive, but from what I've read, I think it'll be worth it!
1. How many weeks are you? 16 What size is baby? Avocado
2. How are you feeling? Heartburn city. Congestion and headaches still here from week 5 but hey! Nausea has simmered down some! *Knocks on wood*
3. Any appointments this week? Tomorrow/today (the 6th) I have a useless nursing appt as my initial at the new practice. Then I have my regular 16wk checkup with the OB on Monday.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? I'm so thankful to be pregnant but I'm so done being pregnant.
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why? Honestly I'm gonna be a bitch here and say I don't really care? Somewhere nice? That's the last thing I'm thinking about while in labor anyway.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby? 16 weeks as well!
2. How are you feeling? Still more nausea than I was hoping for! Just hoping that since I still feel this way at this point, it doesnt mean I will feel this way the whole time!
3. Any appointments this week? I went in today for my cervix check (for the incarcerated uterus) and my OB said my cervix was in a much more anteverted position (last week was still super retroverted) so she thinks my uterus is "freed" and where it should be! So relieved!! Now I don't go in for 4 weeks and this will be the longest amount of time. I have only had 3 weeks this whole pregnancy with no appts, so its gonna be interesting.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions? Really just thrilled to be complication free (for now at least haha).
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why? Similar to @grebretso, I am not afraid of hospitals at all and very more reassured to be delivery in one with all the experts in case something goes wrong. I am probably more used to medical places of years of IVF. We will have to see if there will be more people in the room for the birth than there was during the embryo transfer

Back for # 2!
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
Well last time I checked in they told me they were changing my due date to the 13th cause I was measuring a week ahead. Last OB appointment she decided to keep me at the 20th. So that puts me at 16w.
2. How are you feeling?
Not bad, I started feeling extremely restless and can't seem to relax at the end of the day but otherwise no real complaints.
3. Any appointments this week? Nah, none until the 27th.
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
I am soo happy they kept my due date the 20th. Since they induced me at 39w because of GD last time, I was hoping that if the same goes for this time around that they would allow me to go even a few days more. Because I was tracking all the things while ttgp I am pretty confident of my O date and it would not put me 1 week early. I definitely just make larger babies and the baby was maybe a few days older. Keeping my due date the same means allowing me to stay pregnant longer. The earlier due date just gives them a chance to induce even earlier. All that to say that keeping my due date at the 20th was welcomed news.
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why?
Can I cheat and say birth center since we have none here and that is my alternate 'fantasy'.
1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?
18 weeks! Yeah! A sweet potato?
2. How are you feeling?
I'm pretty good! Knock on wood. Congestion .. but I am still considering myself very lucky.
3. Any appointments this week?
Nada
4. Rants/ raves/ questions?
Announced the birth at work.. never had so many people ask me DO YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE HAVING?!?! with crazy eyes. I need to remember to tell them- A BABY! That's what I'm having! Ha!
5. GTKY: If you could give birth somewhere besides a hospital, birth center, etc., and have all of your medical and pain management needs met, where would you do it and why?
I think I would like to go somewhere that I could have fresh air. Does that sound weird? Hospital, birth center, wherever, just give me the option to open a window if I want to, or step outside on a balcony after baby is born. However... I don't know if I'm thinking this through... it is going to be February, and I live in the Chicago suburbs. Yikes.
