@clbness Good job on the 7k. I walked on the beach for like 10 min today, and on around some outlets for maybe an hour, and my feet feel like they're going to fall off.
@PensiveCrayon I'm glad your FIL is doing better. PSL pro tip- nonfat milk and no whip helps tone down the sweetness a little bit. Yummm.
@morgantu Yay! Congrats on passing your GTT! That's crazy you got your results back same day.
Yesterday my husband finished our deck. He's been sanding/staining it for the last several weekends. He put up some lights around it, and I'm in love. I can't wait to sit out there next summer and have drinks! Ginormous deck gif in spoiler
Then today we went to the beach for the day. There's an outlet mall there, and they have some decent LD sales. Instead of buying baby gear like a responsible person, I raided Bath & Body Works and bought a million Fall scented candles
It was a gorgeous day, even though it was crazy windy.
Tomorrow we will prob stay home and catch up on cleaning. Yay.
@PensiveCrayon and @Hollyyyyy You can also ask them for less pumps of syrup! I do that when I order a white mocha! I think I get 2 pumps instead of 5 in the venti?
@Hollyyyyy I feel like 5 pumps is SOOOOOO much! It makes my teeth hurt thinking about it, lol! 2 pumps is pretty light, so if people like it sweet, they may want more. I keep thinking of your mint flavor and I can only imgaine the last sip of the latte where you get the undissolved syrup at the end tasting like mouthwash
@texas_t Yeah, it's pretty foul. I love the frilly Starbucks drinks, but I definitely alter them in every way to make them drinkable.
@scaredunprepared Thank you! I want to get one of those little tables that has the fire pit on the middle, so we can sit outside this Winter after the baby comes, and drink a whiskey/hot cider out there!
Re: the PSL — I like it in theory but not so much actually drinking it. But we had pumpkin pancakes this morning. Yum!
I’m awake at 1 am because DD had a nightmare that was a little like the night terrors she used to have. Couldn’t wake her up but she was somewhat verbally interactive. She was sobbing and calling for me but refusing hugs or comfort for a while. She finally muttered “read to me” and I said “I love to read to you” and she wrapped her arm around me, snuggled in, and went back to sleep. File under Kids are Weird
@Hollyyyyy That looks great! I eish ours had an awning.
@snugglyduckling25 and @PensiveCrayon I’m super jealous of your no poop in the tub record. There for a while, it was happening here like twice each week. One time, DS popped in the tub, so I carried him down to the kitchen to finish bathing him and he peed all over the counter. Good times
Im glad everyone is having good good long weekends! AFM +1 to nesting! We now have an empty guest room for baby and a storage unit where we put everything we wanted to keep. We went through every closet and cabinet, including the kitchen over the last few weeks and now it feels great to be done! I am ordering all of our nursery furniture today with the goal of baby room being done by my baby shower in early October. I want to just have to organize all of his stuff and shop for whatever we still need and not have to worry about anything else and take it easy the last few weeks of pregnancy.
@Hollyyyyy BBW fall scents get me every year! I just stocked up on candles and wallflowers.
@lexidawg we are starting the process of going through every single room and closet to get rid of stuff - congrats on being done! I bet that feels so good. Right now my house feels like a disaster zone, but I know it will be worth it when we are done. I also need to get into the kids rooms without them home. I put things in bags to get rid of and all of the sudden it’s out and all over the place.
@Hollyyyyy you heard the Orchards hardware stores are closing? You might be able to pick up an outdoor table with the built in fire stone pit for a good deal at one. I know I’ve seen them there in the past!
@tumbleweed-1 I did hear that! I totally didn't think to look for a fire pit there, that's such a good idea! We are def gonna have to go check that out. Thanks for the tip!
My weekend has been good and slow. I'm almost dreading going back to work tomorrow, but I like my new job despite the early hour training so it's not so bad. I had my boyfriend's cousin braid my hair and she did it so tight that it's giving me a slight headache lol but the twists I put in are cute and will save me from having to do my hair for a few weeks. Other than finishing my hair and meeting my boyfriend's great grandmother I haven't done much of anything and it feels good. Gonna spend the rest of my night relaxing and figuring out these message boards lol
@clbness great job on all of your exercise endeavors this weekend! Some fans are super upset, but weather is weather, what else can ya do? As soon as there was a delay I looked at the radar and said there's no way we're going to have a game! It was odd the Fox incorrectly announced that it was postponed until Sunday when the officials & Akron never agreed, but I'm over it.
Thanks for all the encouragement re: working out again, y'all...we'll see if I stick to it!
@Hollyyyyy The deck looks GREAT!! @tumbleweed-1 I think yoga would be good for your back! I've also had some back pains and I've been considering yoga, even though it's not my favorite activity. I bet the stretching and relaxation techniques would be good for our backs and babies. I'm not sure what possessed me to start being active at 24 weeks, but I'm glad I did, thank you...you can do it too! @temmetime My H was so upset and was still bitching about it the next morning. I was thinking, "cheese and rice, man, did you seriously want a stadium full of people to possibly get struck by lightning?!...get over it!"
@clbness right?! I consider myself a fairly calm Husker fan compared to some. Still a huge fan, but a logical one I was disappointed, but hopeful that we will come out with a bang against Colorado next weekend as we're going to need it sounds like! Do you still root for the Huskers when they play Colorado?
@temmetime Yay for logical fans! MH is not one of those. No, I do not cheer for the Buffs. Their disrespectful fans left me salty many years ago after attending a basketball game there to watch my Jayhawks. The Huskers will be here to play the Buffs next year and we WILL be in the stands!

@texas_t yes to only 1-2 pumps of syrup. I love light and sweet, but even for me, there IS such a thing as too much of a good thing.
