After you are done with PJs because you have to go back to work and maternity jeans because you no longer have even a ghost of a bump- what will you wear?
Any favorite stores or brands for nursing shirts, camis, bras, whatever?
The last two times i lived in tanks with some kind of cardigan over it. My all time favorite nursing bra though is the Bravado. I pulled the inserts out and just used it with my Bamboobies nursing pads. Best bra evar! super comfy, stretchy and works great when you continue to change sizes!
I didn't fit back in my "normal" jeans for quite awhile (my hips spread like nothing else), so I found and then lived in the Super Stretch jeggings from American Eagle. I have wide hips/thighs anyways, but those were by far the most comfortable pants/jeans i've ever worn. (my work is a casual dress code)
Target nursing camis, and then whatever cardigan I had. I was always curious about those Bellaband work pants. Apparently they're work pants that feel like yoga pants!
I’m a fan of betabrand work pants. They look dressy and aren’t super high rise in the front so I can still work them below the bump Downsides - finding the right length is a little tricky, and so far no pockets.
I bought several nursing shirts off Amazon. I did not regret it. So much easier for life. I also bought several nursing tanks and wore large overshirts (which is a style I do wear) and that worked out well also.
I live in dresses for work, and had a really hard time figuring out what to wear after maternity leave because in general, work dresses weren't conducive to pumping.
So I found a pair of pants that fit me well and bought a few colors (I had luck at the banana outlets near me), and would just wear nursing camis underneath sweaters or blouses or whatever was just comfortable.
For out of work it was basically the same but with jeans, I always did ok at the jcrew outlet for those.
I also liked the target nursing camis best. After baby #2 I sprung for a nice nursing bra (Natori is my go to brand normally) and it was definitely worth the $.
I just ordered a couple inexpensive sports bra type nursing bras and nursing camis from Old Navy to try out. I like the idea of nursing camis under sweaters or blouses for work in the winter with dress pants. I have a lot of nice dresses but I don’t think any are really nursing friendly.
