  • @kristah2 Really? I didn’t know that could happen. I am honestly encouraged by the fact that I am having colostrum already because last time, I barely had enough to feed my son. Like, I only leaked and felt engorged twice the entire 12 months I was nursing. So, I’m hoping this is a sign my boobs just know what to do this time!
  • I never sprayed MH in the face (maybe things were more regulated by the time we started having sex? Not sure) but I def would get self-conscious about having a letdown whenever I o’d. Forgot all about that one. :#

  • I definitely sprayed my daughter in the face when she'd pop off after my letdown started.  Sorry baby girl  :#
  • I gotta say I'm not ready for the whole liquid coming out of my boobs thing. A little colostrum came out this morning and I was legit grossed out. I know it's natural and I do plan to breastfeed for as long as I can, but yeesh....it's weird and new and I feel like liquid leaking out of your body is not healthy.

  • @binxybaby maybe you won't leak? I didn't at all with DS. BF for 14 months and not a drop unless I made a real effort to hand express.. or the couple times DH got a little too frisky.
  • @binxybaby I didn't leak except for overnight or while feeding.  I never leaked randomly or when she'd cry.  For me it was more so annoying than anything.  And I'd be annoyed if I woke up and I had leaked because that is extra laundry and wasted milk! lol

I would say it's about the same as usual for us - once/week ish. DH is gone three days a week for work, so I'm never sad I don't have to do it in that time. I can't stand him stimulating my nipples right now, so I can't speak on the leaking haha.
I did buy a nice little curved vibrating wand from Amazon & it has helped tremendously! It helps me get into it much better than he does & feels great without too much direct attention. :D
I've always had a lower drive than DH and this has been an ongoing issue for us to meet in the middle more. I keep trying to talk myself into initiation and then I just ..don't. Amen on that front @PensiveCrayon & @clbness

ETA that SIL believes that higher drive = boy and lower drive = girl. How ironic that it's literally about the same as before. I'm slow to heat up, not jumping his bones constantly, yet not totally repulsed.

  • @kristah2 :D I just recently started letting DH play with my nipples again. I didn’t want them to leak or anything since I still BF DS.

I never really leaked either either when I heard a baby cry or randomly. Only at night if DS slept through a feeding or while I was feeding on one side the other would leak. I’d catch it in a Haakaa though and save up that milk, bag it, and freeze it. :)

Speaking of the Haakaa, @AdorkablePixie did you love it? I have it on my registry to possibly buy and use this time!

  • @temmetime I know I did! I’m looking forward to really getting use out of it this time. Last time around I found it when A was several weeks or maybe months old. It still worked okay for me, but by then he was getting very wiggly while nursing so it was difficult to keep it on.

I do worry about the foremilk/hindmilk balance with what it collects, but I’m sure if I mix it into pumped milk or only use it occasionally (which is the plan anyway) it won’t be an issue.

  • I was nervous at first to even try and we barely did the early part of the first trimester when I was sick but after i felt better, it's been really frequent.  I dont knkw what got into SO but pregnancy hasn't stopped him at all. I think alot has to do with we have been in an amazing place, emotionally, less arguments and more just enjoying each other and I guess we were just happy to be pregnant. Now, week 23, my boobs are boobing (painful! And I think I saw colostrum) and my bump is just uncomfortable, not even going into the back pain I just started feeling this week. So I'm out. I don't feel anywhere near wanting to be touched like that or have to touch someone else like that lmao. Just let me lay here. And oh "baby, give me your hand, feel the baby moving!!!!?" Lol

  • @temmetime I loved it! I got the knockoff from amazon and it was like $6 I think. Totally worth it. If I didn’t freeze the milk (it took like 3-4 uses to get enough to freeze) I’d put it in a bottle so DH could take over a feed for me every once in a while. :)
