1. How many weeks are you? What size is baby?

29 weeks - acorn squash!

2. How are you feeling?

Feeling good! No complaints, really.

3. Any appointments this week?

I had my glucose test on Wednesday and passed. No more appointments until September 20th.

4. Rants/raves/questions?

I'm probably jinxing myself here, but I feel really good! I'm feeling very lucky to be doing so well. I can't believe I'm almost in the 30+ week stretch.

5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?

Organizing some stuff. Maybe packing my hospital bag?

6. GTKY: Will you miss summer?

Not really. I don't particularly love hot weather and fall is my favorite season, so I'm looking forward to it.

31 - head of romaine lettuce.

2. How are you feeling?

Absolutely miserable! So over pregnancy and being reminded of why I hate this and am 99.999% done having kids after this.

3. Any appointments this week?

No, but I have an ultrasound next week!

5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
DH is painting the nursery, so I’m hoping to get NB and 0-3 month stuff washed and put away.

Not even a little bit.

28 weeks! Babies are the size of Eggplants

2. How are you feeling?

Good! I was at a conference all week, which had me walking all over the place and I survived!! My ankles may have swelled up at the end of every day, but it really wasn't too bad.

3. Any appointments this week?

Nothing this week. I have a couple next week.

4. Rants/raves/questions?
I can't believe the babes will be here in 9 weeks (or less!!)

5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
This week we are cleaning up the house in preparation for the baby shower next weekend!!

6. GTKY: Will you miss summer?
No, not really. It was hot and I didn't get to partake in all the summer activities I love.

28w (yesterday)

2. How are you feeling?

yesterday and today i have been starving! doesn’t matter if i JUST ate a huge meal five minutes ago— i’m ready to eat again. i’ve been a bottomless pit, and hoping this means babies are going through a big growth spurt. also, yesterday i was extra exhausted, mentally and physically. it’s been such a long long loooooonnnggg week for me.

3. Any appointments this week?

i had a appointment with mfm on tuesday. i went to a lab to sit for my gtt on wednesday. took two long medical calls those days too, one from the pediatric kidney specialist to talk about next steps for baby b’s kidney, then the second from our family pediatrician to be brought up to speed on baby b and start her file.

4. Rants/raves/questions?
i’m stumped on the easiest way to get this new breastpump. tried an online vendor who claimed to work with my insurance, but apparently insurance won’t let them be middle-man. i’m thinking of just ordering from target and going the re-imbursement route. this is way more hassle than last time.
5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
dh insists i stay in bed all weekend since i’ve had a particularly long week and have been feeling so extra exhausted. that’s tempting. at the very least, i’ll get my hospital bag ready. work on organizing the babies’ dresser drawers, maybe.
6. GTKY: Will you miss summer?
not this summer, which was really a waste anyways. we didn’t do much of anything exciting because heat+pregnancy+kid does not make for a fun outing.

30, a zucchini

2. How are you feeling?

Better this week than last week

3. Any appointments this week?

Yes, learned that baby is 85% for size, they may do extra monitoring after my next u/s on 10/1 if he’s 90% or higher since I’m AMA
I did pick my induction date for 11/6 of baby doesn’t come before then on his own or other complications don’t come up. Nice to have a for sure date to countdown toward!

4. Rants/raves/questions?
this baby is really low already and head down, sometimes it feels like he’s trying to claw his way out with how I feel his hands moving down by my pelvis. As much as I’m ready to be done with being pregnant he needs to stay in there at least 6 more weeks!

5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
We got the twin bed from my sister for DS and replaced the toddler bed for the bigger one. Now the crib is moved into the right spot and their room is all set. This baby will sleep in our room for the first few weeks but it’s nice to have DS transitioned prior to baby’s arrival so it’s less traumatic for him with too much change after.

6. GTKY: Will you miss summer?
this summer? Nothing- It was hot and humid. Plus I love fall!

@highsteaks Have you called your insurance company? I called mine, they emailed me a list of where I could get my breast pump in network. It was super easy!

@runningyogimama i did awhile ago, and they started saying they will reimburse up to x amount, but then after a small hum she said they prefer i buy from an in network dmes and i can look up in network dmes online. so, yea, i should do that

i just hate their provider portal.

@highsteaks I ordered through a dme (after researching each option). Once I decided who to order through it was easy! Already have my pump with two free tube sets.

28 baby is the size of a roller skate

2. How are you feeling?
Ok for the most part. My back can get pretty upset with me but my worst symptom is mental. Ive gained 28 lbs so far and while my Dr is happy I am not.

3. Any appointments this week?

Had my 28 week check up and gd test. The Tdap shot really has my arm sore!

4. Rants/raves/questions?
Just cannot believe I'm just starting tri 3 (where you really start gaining) and am already up 28 lbs. Gained 9 this past month and 8 last. FREAKING OUT!!!!

5. What are you doing this week to prepare for baby’s arrival?
Nothing. This week I had two family members pass away and between two funerals and a wake I am looking to get stuff done around the house and play catch up.

6. GTKY: Will you miss summer
Hell no. I am so over being hot. I hope next summer I'm back to enjoying heat but pregnant me hates it.

@ftm_jen try not to be too hard on yourself for the weight gain. I was freaking out about my weight gain around 27 weeks too, but there really isn’t much I can do about it so I chose to continue making healthy choices with a balance of ice cream and not let my weight gain cast a dark shadow over this last trimester.

@millerbear56 I'm trying. DH keeps telling me we are having a big boy. I wish it didn't get to me so much. I really feel Im not enjoying pregnancy because of it, but I can't turn it off. Can't wait to diet and work out like crazy.
