I’m really nervous my daughter has children fiber gummy bears and I ate two of them. then I read the ingredients and it said it has shellfish in it! Will this hurt my baby
Alright. First off, any ingredient in gummy bears will be processed to hell, and since shellfish is not harmful for pregnant women, why are you even nervous? It's not like it's raw. Which, even if it had been raw it would most likely be fine too. Second, did this really warrant its own thread? You have no other posts on this forum whatsoever. How about before creating a thread just for you, introduce yourself in the intro thread and read the rules. The rules can be found in the thread titled **READ FIRST**. It's really hard to miss! One off topics like this clog the forum up for people who come here regularly. Imagine if everyone created a topic for every little worry and question like this one, you'd never be able to find anything ever.
Third, what ever happened to good ol' fashioned Google? A quick Google search would have answered your question really fast. Or ask your doctor. We're not medical professionals, if you're actually worried you've done something to harm your baby, nobody here will be able to help you out.

I don’t understand how people miss the pinned posts. They’re giant and right at the top of the page. You literally have to scroll past them to post anything!
OP, why is a message board that you’ve never participated in the first place you thought of to ask that question? If you were truly concerned, you would have picked up the phone and called your doctor. Not asked a group of random moms on the internet if you’d hurt your fetus.
The biggest risk in eating shellfish is mercury, if there was enough shellfish in two gummy bears to have enough mercury to harm a developing fetus those would be extremely disgusting gummy bears.
I cannot be the only one here that thinks that the vast majority of people in this group are catty, vapid, rude, and tasteless. It seems as though not a single one of you are willing to listen to another womans concerns, due to the fact that you deem them to be insignificant. Stop tearing other nervous moms-to-be down. Especially those of you poking fun at women's anxieties, while simultaneously claimin that you have anxiety disorders. Anxiety is not rational, and it is not made better by someone shaming you for it.
I swear, every one of you are so quick to jump on a new thread and smother a new writer because 'that's not the way its done- read the pinned post- idiot!' But not before making a new mother feel so stupid and incompetent that they begin to question their new parenting role. It's no wonder new posters dont participate! What a bunch of bullies you are.
To the original poster- if you happen to check back on this: gummy bears are delicious. You've not done any harm to your kiddo, even with the shellfish. If your super worried about it, my local grocery store sells an all natural gummy bear. They are good and flavored with fruit juice and natural flavorings. Keep your head up.

Aww sweetie. Bless your sweet little well-meaning heart. I think I see where you’re trying to go. A couple things:
As @kayjay44 alluded to in a post on another board (which I’m sure you read - it sounds like you’re pretty up to date on what we all have been posting!) motherhood is not a featherbed. Particularly not in 2018. When you’ve been yelled at (screamed at!) by another parent in Target for letting your kid hold your phone to avoid a complete meltdown, come tell me how tasteless we are.
On that note, be careful throwing those kinds of insults around in these parts! Name-calling is against the TOU, and you’re getting pretty close to that territory. Just looking out for ya
Additionally, I’m not sure why you chose this particular post to get upset over. Yes, there are ridiculous posts that garner ridiculous responses, but there are also plenty of one off posts that have gained a ton of support. I’m sure you’ve read those, since (again) you seem to have lurked quite a bit! The OP did get a great response about reasons to be (and not to be) concerned about the presence of shellfish in a gummy bear. I think we can all agree that barring any allergies, traces of shellfish aren't likely to cause harm to a fetus.
Lastly, welcome to F19! When's your baby due? I'll admit I haven't researched you nearly as much as you've researched us, but I don't remember a previous post from you! Maybe we'll be due date twins
Wow, @fikinikababy you've followed posters enough to know about their posts about having anxiety disorders, but haven't posted here until now? What a creep. I haven't seen you post anything supportive anywhere to anyone, so before you ride in on your skyscraper horse maybe put your money where your mouth is.

Brb, going to get gummy bears. You know, for research purposes.
OP, if you ate two gummies, you'll probably have twins. Just a friendly heads up.

Rude - check
Catty - check
Bullies - check
Guys, I'm only missing "hormonal" and "nasty" in my White Knight bingo! So close!
