Currently I have 4 Spanish guys working on my exterior of the house the last three days. They are playing loud Spanish music, dancing and singing. The neighbors are all gawking from their windows. I live in a pretty well off neighborhood with a lot of retired couples or stay at home moms....(PS the only reason we can live here is it's DH's childhood home and we got it for a steal from MIL)
I don't want to tell them to keep it down in fear of them stopping working. I already told their boss they were slacking for three hours the first day, smoking and standing beside their car.
I'm sure we are now the talk of the street even more so. They have all told MIL that they think our renovation is taking too long and it's an eye sore with all the garbage and port-a-potty etc. MIL always just brushes it off and says it's not her house anymore LOL
Me 33 DH 41 TTC since 2016 Due: October 12, 2018 Location: Ontario, Canada
@chyvie your neighbors would love my neighborhood. I live in a community with a high Middle-Eastern population (as well as some Mexican). There is Middle Eastern and Mexican music playing all the time.
@sammierose464 I'm actually laughing inside thinking about how they are all reacting. They are all up tight older people. The best part is they whistle a lot and sing. I find it entertaining LOL If it was too early or too late I'd say something but between 9am and 5pm should be tolerated. Plus my immediate neighbours all work during the day so they aren't home.

MY FFFC is that I'm starting to be less polite on the train, and now have no qualms about shoving people out of my way when I'm trying to get off... It's like, I'm pregnant - I can 'suck it in' and squeeze by any more. I figure, if you're rude enough not to move six inches to let a pregnant woman past, you deserve to get bowled over.
@Sailing_Mama I did that at a restaurant last weekend. We had brunch reservations at a little place downtown because there were 8 of us, and it’s always packed. We arrived at the same time as my mom, so she and the kids managed to squeeze through the crowd at the door. I joked something like “sorry all, but I’m bringing this belly through too!” No one moved. So I bulled my way through and caused at least one person to sort of fall into their neighbour. I can’t take the belly off, people

That's when you just need to say it louder I have no issue shaming people, loudly, at 7 months pregnant.
I blocked out two one-hour blocks on my calendar every day for pumping so meetings wouldn’t get scheduled over my times.
I don’t wanna this morning, so even though I am done pumping, I’m sitting in our privacy room until my hour is over. No people, no interruptions, no Bloomberg/CNBC streaming 24/7; it is awesome.
@knottieamusements that is SUPER smart. I somehow need to remember to do that when I come back.
Similarly, I blocked my calendar this week and the week after vacation so no one could schedule any additional meetings. Sorry, not sorry, but this girl needs some quiet time at her desk.
@chopchop25 - Do you use Outlook reminders? Set one for a few weeks after your due date so it pops up when you log back in after your leave. You don’t even need to make it for your day back, just sometime while you are out...
I’m bitchy because DH made a cheesecake on Wednesday night. We were going to have it after supper yesterday. Instead I’m stuck eating shitty hospital food, and all I want is the damn cheesecake!!
Alrhough I fully admit I’m ridiculously spoiled in the DH does 98% of our cooking and baking.
Feeling pretty good overall. Things seem to have settled down. It’s mostly just waiting for someone to decide I’m stable enough to discharge, and thatdwfinitely won’t happen until tomorrow or Sunday.
To be fair, he would have brought me cheesecake if they had cut into it, but the kids stayed over at my parent’s last night. So there’s just this whole, untouched cheesecake taunting me from home I’m hoping he’ll grab me a slice tonight!
Another FFFC - I had no clue where the word 'handicapped' came from until yesterday. Now I feel like an asshole for ever using it. Will be calling them disabled parking spaces from now on.
Personally I don’t think this is flame worthy but I’m getting my kicks today stringing along a scammer. I think it’s hilarious they think I’m goin to give them money plus the time they spend answering my pointless questions is less time they have to try to scam someone else!
@knottieamusements Canada. Health care is free, but the food is pretty basic. Although now at least they offer two choices for each meal/dessert (ie grilled cheese and tomato soup, or fruit salad were today’s lunch options). Last time there was no choice (2014). It was like being a kid “you get what you get and you don’t get upset”! There were a lot of Skip the Dishes meals...
@chopchop25 I think the most inclusive term is "accessible". As in "accessible parking spaces" or "accessible bathroom / stall"

That's right. PEED. I sneezed and quite a bit came out....and i was wearing a dress that was hiked up and.....yep it just happened. Got up and had to clean pee off my couch. I was mortified. DH was dying of laughter. I'll never this down.
@nasalot188 you never know. The couch pee may become eclipsed by the pushing during labor poo, if that happens to you. My DH brings that up probably twice a month over here.
@Lisa3379 haha! I 100% pooped in labour with DS...but thankfully for me DH didn't even notice. My midwife was amazing at her speeding wiping away like nothing had happened!
I just had to clean toddler pee off a rug. Your life will now consist of cleaning up a good deal of urine. My almost 3 year old threw a fit because I wouldn't let him take his new remote controlled car in the shower so he ran in his room and peed all over the rug. When I was outside hanging it up to dry after I washed it he locked me out of the house and my pregnant ass had to climb through a window. And I haven't showered in 2 days. Motherhood is fun.
@knottieamusements@jynjer91 but the room is bigger, and you get TWO "couches".(Benches). Plus your parking is validated and your support person gets meals included too. All that for the low low minimum price of $600, because it's a 2 night min stay.
I made marshmallows last night that had to set overnight before I could cut them, so this morning I had to cut them all up before I left for work... I didn’t feel like eating breakfast at home today, so the first thing I ate today may have been a marshmallow... and then I decided to go get a donut at lunch. Oops? @chopchop25 I got a chocolate buttermilk old fashioned for the win!
@nasalot188 my nurse was quick, too, but DH was right there holding my knee and saw everything, haha. Or at least he knew that I pooped, maybe he didn't really see it happen. Anyway, with that and how my water broke all over the floor right in front of him, I was like yeah, our relationship is going to be a little different now, haha!
@Lisa3379 When I was pregnant with DD DH would try to get me to pee my pants. So he had me laughing really hard and I did a full pants pee. While I was changing and had no bottoms on he started to tickle me. So I'm laying on the bed, on my side, knees bent and I pee again. To this day he's like I watched you pee, like I saw the pee come out. Thanks babe. Definitely a new level of closeness. He's continued with the goal of me peeing my pants.
@jemmerjams - Dude, you need to come deliver at my hospital. There is free valet parking for all patients and visitors. No paid parking at all. And I didn’t have to upgrade my room to get the steak.

@jennybean80 that is totally a reason to be bitchy. No one should deprive you of your cheesecake. How are you feeling?

My OB told me not to get it, waste of money lol.
