When is you appointment? had it today How far along will you be? 24w4d What is being discussed? 24 week apt Questions/Comments/Concerns: glad to hear hb and fundal height was all good but I gained EIGHT POUNDS since my last appointment and am up 20 overall. I am having such a hard time emotionally with the weight gain. Ready to get back into serious running and weights and terrified of how fat I'll be by the end of this.
When is you appointment? They were this morning How far along will you be? 24w3d What is being discussed? I had fetal echos done on each baby with Peds Cardiology. They needed to check up on Baby A's heart issue and make sure that Baby B's heart was good (last time they were both moving too much to be sure). Then I had scans/measurements with Maternal Fetal and a follow up with him. All is good, both babies are measuring together and on track and my MFM doc is happy with my progress. Questions/Comments/Concerns: I'm so happy to hear that the babes are doing well. I'm with @ftm_jen on the weight gain issues. I was doing really great in the first tri and had only gained about 10 lbs (keep in mind I am having twins) up until about week 18. Then my last two appointments I jumped up 10 lbs EACH TIME. That's 20lbs in a MONTH. From last appointment to this one my weight stayed stable, but holy crap I'm struggling with my body image right now. I'm trying not to push myself too hard, but I'm trying to make sure I make it to the gym 5 days a week to try and stave off this weight gain and make it easier to recover after.
Last attempt to get pics of baby girls heart before sending me to a specialist. Little one has not cooperated the last 2 times they've tried and, while the mfm says there are no signs that are causing concerns, they want clear pics since I'm diabetic pre-pregnancy.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: I'm glad we will get to see baby girl on our anniversary, especially since we won't even be able to go out to dinner until Saturday! 10 years sure has gone by quickly.
What is being discussed? It's my first PT appt on my new regular schedule (twice a week for a month). Questions/Comments/Concerns: I am kind of nervous because at my initial appt she gave me stretches to do and I haven't been able to do them because I slipped in the shower and the pain got worse. I had mentioned that to my OB and he told me to not do any stretches until I get re-evaluated because I might have compounded the issue. I hope the PT isn't too upset that I haven't been following directions but I trust my OB more so I am following his advice.

At my appointment right now, 27 weeks today. Drank the awful orange glucose drink and waiting for my blood draw. Also was able to get my tdap and rhogam shots out of the way. Going to be a hot mess of bandaids by the end of the morning.
What is being discussed? Go over the results of my latest scan to see if any progess has been made with my low lying placenta (it hasn't, the tech already told me and he is so low I feel like he will pop out). We will get a plan together and discuss scheduling a c-section with the thought he may not move up. Also should be scheduling my glucose testing this time I think.
Questions/Comments/Concerns: No just playing the wait and see game
I had my PT appt yesterday and got re-evaluated. Turns out my hips separated more, enough to make my left leg longer than my right by an inch and a half! I am SO SORE today from yesterday's appt. I feel like it's too early for me to be waddling like this!

@tessiesmom26 that sounds so painful! Hope you start feeling better soon.
just got back from my 27 week appointment. Got my glucose drink for next week, everything else looks good! Moving to appointments every three weeks now. Crazy to think we only have three months to go!
@offtoneverland I think she just did it this time to get me on track - I was 27 weeks today so I’ll be 30 weeks at my next appointment, and then I am assuming she will go to 2 weeks starting after that.
@tessiesmom26 - wow that sounds so painful. I hope the stretching, exercises, and belt help!
We did an elective ultrasound this week to peek at baby before we change doctors. He/she was pretty uncooperative and most of the time the placenta, a hand, or the cord was in baby's face but we did get a few good pics. So fun to see baby in 3D.

How far along will you be? 28 weeks. What is being discussed? Normal check up. She looked over my blood sugar logs since i was tracking instead of taking the 3 hour test after failing the 1 hour, and she said I get an A+ and don’t need to keep tracking, just do my fasting one once in a while, so that’s exciting. She does still want me to check those and to do another ultrasound at 32 weeks to check growth, though. Questions/Comments/Concerns: I told her how my afternoon walk back to my parking garage/car (half a mile) is making me cramp consistently, so she gave me a note to park closer. I was hoping to wait to the last month to ask for a note for closer parking, but better to be cautious, I guess.
When is you appointment? It was today. How far along will you be? 26 weeks + 1 day What is being discussed? Got the results from my glucose test (passed) and blood work from Tuesday. My appointments have been fairly uneventful overall.. Mind you hearing the heartbeat never gets old. I start appointments every 2 weeks now, can't believe it's that time already! Questions/Comments/Concerns: I have been consistently gaining 5 pounds each appointment, like right on the dot. This week I think was less though. I've had weight/body image issues my whole life and I gotta say I have never loved my body more than I do right now. I feel like I may regret every pound after baby is here, but for now I'm embracing it!
I've yet to have to submit a urine sample for anything, is that weird?
@mrsdrez my doc has had me submit a urine sample starting at 20 weeks, I think, I assume to check for protein in the urine since it’s a sign of pre-eclampsia. I thought that was standard practice but I’m not sure why your doc doesn’t require it?
@mrsdrez it really varies not only between clinics but between doctors as well. The OB I saw early on while my current doc was on maternity leave requested a urine sample every appointment. My current OB hasn't requested any. Honestly I'd love to still be seeing the first OB but she has such a high patient load it'd be difficult to adjust/schedule now.

@mrsdrez You are in New Zealand, right? I'm assuming there are probably different practices over there. I've had to submit a urine sample at every appointment, too.
@mrsdrez My last pregnancy my obgyn made me pee every single appointment. This obgyn starts taking urine samples at 28weeks. I found it odd as well as first, but I’m assuming it’s because it’s unlikely to have preeclampsia early in the pregnancy. I’m sure if my blood pressure was high or if i had swelling or other symptoms, I would have to start sooner.
@offtoneverland I'm in Canada so maybe that's it. I should ask my friends and see what they have to say about their experiences. @BabyBoyH92016 Maybe my next appointment then? Maybe I'll ask her too to see the reasoning.
@mrsdrez report back if you get an answer. I keep forgetting to ask mine why they they wait so long for urine test. I’ll try to ask at my next appointment too.
@highsteaks So sorry this has taken me forever to get back to you.. I couldn't log on to mobile over the weekend. The belt is a Serola belt. The PT wanted me to get it at a medical supply company but it was $45-50. I found some on Amazon Prime for about $20-25 so I think I will get one of those instead.

It does seem to be a provider preference on whether or not to urine test. I have had one every single appointments except the one time I saw the other provider (my practice has 2).
Finally received a call with my results - baby did move up a few centimeters so he is not completely covering the cervix anymore woohoo! I did pass the glucose (by a few points but it was a pass) however, I failed the iron test so I start medication today for anemia. Hopefully I can get some energy back with this.
