This baby is getting the same nursery as the other two - nautical themed (red/grey/navy). I hand stenciled that closet at 35 weeks pregnant with #1 - it may stay there forever
I painted DDs nursery a coral to white gradient at six months, hope this kid likes pink because that’s what they’re getting. Also would like to note it’s been almost three years and she slept there maybe three months.
Lol well I’m having another boy so it’s basically staying blue/gray/white with elephants everywhere . Elephants are a family good luck charm anyway for my whole moms side...boy or girl it would’ve been this haha. Although I do enjoy seeing other moms ideas!
Am I a terrible FTM for having no desire to have a theme? When I told a friend I was pregnant her first question was what my theme would be. Blank stare.
@megpants209 Nah, I haven’t given it a thought either. Even if I owned my home I wouldn’t have a theme. I just want to have basic, practical furniture and items baby can grow in and with. Same with decorations, I have no desire to paint over or have to make major changes when the nursery has to be turned into a bigger kid’s room.

@megpants209 nope! Regardless of gender, the kid will have a pale blue room because when we painted every room in the house, that just happened to be a color we agreed upon when we finally got to that room. I have no theme ideas at the moment and all I plan on purchasing is furniture and a carpet for the room. Maybe I'll get creative, but maybe not?
This kid will be sharing a room with DS, so it'll all have to fit into his room - white furniture, blue/green/navy/gray color palette. If it's a girl we'll keep his stuff the same and probably go pink/navy/gray on her side with similar nautical touches. If it's a boy, hand-me-downs for life.
We just moved this weekend and my toddler’s room in greige and white (same color as at the old house), so this baby will be going in there. It’s all pretty GN anyway minus her bow holder and stuff so it is what it is and I wouldn’t really change it anyway.
I got this “animals professions” print (I tried to upload it but the app isn’t letting me) which is the abcs of animals as different professions (ant architect, baluga barista, ect.) and am basing the nursery around that. So animals, pretty much, which I feel like works for a boy or a girl. When we find out the sex we are going to paint the room accodingly (probably a purply pink for a girl and blue green for boy).
I’m not going totally crazy on a theme. We are turning our office into the nursery (we are in a 2 bedroom condo). Not sure where we are putting the office stuff ... omg lol. I am thinking baby will be in our room for a few months any way, so I’m not going to go crazy and get everything set. I’m thinking it’ll evolve. Meanwhile, if you have any ideas on where to put DH 2 computer monitors and 2 laptops, let me know.
@ohsunnydays That's our situation too. No clue where the office stuff will go! We have a fairly large open kitchen/dining/living room area, so we'll find a place for it, but there's no obvious spot for anything. We'll work it out somehow!
We might end up moving at some point too, although our downpayment savings are now baby/mat leave savings, so probably not.

@grebretso Before this, we were looking to move too. But, 2 weeks after we found out I were pregnant, my husband's company had layoffs. Oops. Everything seems to happen at once.
@grebretso We're moving the first week in October into a different apartment with lower rent (but more space?). I'm dreading it because I'm not good at watching other people work/lift things when I can't help. Our down payment savings is going to baby too, but hopefully cutting rent will help us build that savings back up.
@BourbonBiscuits oh god I would hate that too. Plus H has a bad back! The only reason we’d move at this point would be similar to yours, but I doubt we’ll find anything cheaper in our area. Our current apartment is ridiculously cheap, both for its size and for Seattle in general. Even though it’s kind of a run down hole you just don’t let a place like that go willingly. Seattle rent is NOT cheap.

@grebretso yeah when we signed this lease we were coming from a super high COL area (just outside DC) and came to Kentucky with no understanding of what we could expect to pay for rent. Our new place is literally less than half of what we paid in DC and it's still considered a "luxury" apartment
