Re: Symptoms - Week of 8/5-8/11

  • @ashley14598 this was me last pregnancy. I had anal fissures it got so bad, & my doctor had me take colace every single day. This time I am eating a buttload of fruits and veggies (lots of fiber) and I have one cup of black coffee every morning which does the trick for me. If you’re not doing caffeine I think decaf would work too! And make sure you’re drinking tons of water! Hope you get some relief.

@catlady2015 thanks! That might help too because I’m also dealing with very little to no appetite which obviously isn’t helping my cause. I’m trying to eat as often as I can even if it’s small meals/day but it’s so difficult.

@flyingmombula good idea about adding in coffee! I had given it up because I don’t have a desire for it/I know it best for baby. But I’m definitely not opposed to trying it.

ETA comment to flyingmombula because I didn’t see her comment the first time :)
  • @catlady2015 I might need to add fiber gummies, that’s a good idea. My diet has not been great lately.

  • @lauren5228 Ugh pregnancy heartburn is the WORST! I tried every natural remedy under the sun with my first pregnancy and finally had to start meds somewhere around the halfway mark. And I still had to sleep sitting up! And yes, she was born with a full head of thick brown hair

Im on week 10 and praying this is my week that the sickness subsides. Still feeling exhausted and will randomly fall asleep throughout the day. Still have all day nausea and food aversions. And yeah super gassy. Have you seen that parks and rec episode where Anns pregnant and explains it as a slow and steady fart stream?? Lol #accurate.
  • @ashley14598 @meggyme - I find the gummies pretty tasty even though they’re sugar free. I almost always remember to have them because it’s like a little treat. I keep a bran muffin recipe for really bad cases. I should probably mix up a batch just in case.

  • I just need to vent!!!!! Im the last one in the family to catch this cold/virus thing.  I feel like POOP. Fever, aches, sore throat, and I can’t breathe!!! So thankful for my hubby who is doing mostly everything for our 3 kiddos. Praying this is a 24 your thing at most. Other than that I wanna eat ALL the CARBS and the cutie oranges.

  • @twiggster ahhhh feel better!!!!! that’s the worst especially when you’re already feeling crummy from first tri.

This may be TMI, but for the last last couple of days I’ve been feeling a weird sensation in and above my vagina... its very internal. it’s hard to explain and i have absolutely no idea what to make of it. But Because I have little to no symptoms, I’m taking it as a good sign that everything is stretching and growing, etc..... so weird though! I’m exactly 10 weeks today.
  • @indigoheightsblog isn’t that the lovely thing about pregnancy 70% of how we feel is potentially TMI lol

Thanks for all the help on constipation. I had a very rough evening and day today. I feel so drama filled about it ... sweating, stomach pains, crying, etc. I was finally able to pass some with the help of TONS of water, an apple, 2 stool softeners, 2 fiber gummies, and a bath. Yikes I hope that doesn’t happen again! I actually had to pull out the boppy pillow to sit on because I gave myself a hemorrhoid.
  • @twiggster I hope you get to feeling better soon! First trimester is already difficult enough on its own without adding in a cold too!
  • @ashley14598 - wow!! Hope you never need that much help again! Sorry about the hemorrhoid. :unamused:

  • Ugh, so tired but slept like shit. Also, my back has been hurting so I think I’ll turn my mattress the next time I change the sheets. Hopefully that fixes it, because it’s only about 6 years old.

  • I’ll add that if you don’t have a squatty potty, get one!! I had horrible issues with my DD’s pregnancy and between the fiber gummies and squatty potty it made it better.
Last night I fell asleep on the couch and was dreaming about horrible cramps and woke up with them. At first I was really nervous something bad was coming but then I realized it was because I needed to go potty.

  • @mamakate1616 it’s funny how many of my symptoms are related to how full my bladder is. After lunch I tend to feel a bit queasy but I think with a full stomach and bladder it just compressed my tummy and I usually feel better after I pee. Same with some of my RLP.
