Re: Weekly Symptoms • w/o 8.5

  • 21 weeks here feeling good still get abit of anxiety that LO is ok etc but apart from that feeling great appetite is increasing and baby brain has kicked in full swing like over night bam forgetting everything I've burned so much food and even left the sink to fill up with water while I did something else and forgot so water all over the kitchen floor..
  • Loading the player...
  • @donnawicks I left a bucket in the sink the other day to full up with water and forgot about it! Baby brain is real!
  • @scaredunprepared it's crazy!! I was not expecting it to be so full on DH is incredibly forgetful so I'm used to remembering everything I think this is gonna be so bad for me
  • @donnawicks I'm right there with you I'm usually the one who remembers all appointments, parties, to give dogs meds, etc.  Going to get interesting over here!
  • Any other STMs feeling pressure down below already?? Seems WAY too early for that, but I've been feeling a lot of pressure, especially when using the restroom. This baby is already head down and my DD wasn't until like 36 weeks so maybe I just don't know what that feels like? It's weirding me out!
  • @donnawicks the pregnancy brain is so real! I’m a forgetful person to start, but I’ve done really silly things like give someone $200 in 20’s to pay a $176 bill. I felt like such an idiot.  :s:smile:

@maureenmce the other day I was thinking that I felt a ton of pressure too. My baby was listed as breech at my A/S, however he was flipping the entire time, so maybe the other day he had flipped to head down for a bit. It’s been so long, I don’t remember how early I felt it the last time.
  • I think i'm having a bit of sciatica pain.. Not 100% sure but yesterday I had a sharp pain shoot from my lower back down my left leg, it hit me so suddenly my leg gave out and I fell over (luckily not a hard fall) for the rest of the day anytime I moved my left leg the sharp pain would hit me again. Is it possible to have sciatica pain this early? (I'm 21 weeks 3 days today and at every US I've been told baby is towards my back/head down)
  • @jessi_s Sounds like that’s what it is. It’s definitely not too early. I’ve been experiencing it for at least a couple months on and off now.

Over here, just feeling more and more like a stuffed turkey. Very full and stretched to the max, if that makes any sense. Too bad we’ve got a LOT of growing to do before December!

  • Agreeing with you on the chiropractor recommendation @CecilB93! Even after one adjustment I can tell it’s not as bad.

  • @maureenmce I’ve only felt pressure after running. So I have just been adjusting my workouts when I feel the pressure increase.
@jessi_s it sounds like sciatica pain to me. I get it frequently too. I try to stretch (piriformis syndrome stretch) - but it’s getting harder as I’m getting bigger. Be careful - sometimes the pain comes out of the blue.

@Activebaby are you still able to go on your runs? Anything you’ve found to be helpful in reducing the pressure during a run? I’ve felt pressure and cramping after running and have had to cut them out of my routine completely

ETA: the rest of my comment got eaten so here it is again- so the other night I was falling asleep and noticed something wet on my blanket- my boobs were leaking! As a FTM and being only 20 weeks I didn’t expect this for a while still. Now I’m constantly looking down at my shirt to see if I have got two big wet spots on my shirt. Anyone else have this happen so early??
  • @deutschmama Oh wow! I never leaked beforehand with my son. My one friend who did started collecting her colostrum around 36 weeks or so so she would have it for the hospital (she didn't want to BF, just EP). She turned out to have a pretty big oversupply. So maybe that's where you're headed? :#

  • @deutschmama not leaking yet, but I did notice white/yellow...gook... in my nipple yesterday.  FTM and this definitely took me by surprise because I was not expecting anything like this so early.  Pretty sure it's starting for me.  I think someone else (maybe @echo-charlietango ?) early on mentioned the same thing.

I’m still running 2xweek. I treadmill run and dropped my speed to 5.2 mph (was  between 6-7 mph). I still do 35 minutes so my distance is much shorter. I give myself a day off in between. I also stretch after running. I think the slow speed really helps with the pressure.
Also I’ve had some boob leakage earlier on and it’s gone away now. It surprised me, but I just ignored it.
  • I am basically feeling like I'm in the 3rd trimester already, lol. Sciatic nerve pain (luckily, mild) started yesterday, SPD is ongoing (still bearable but definitely annoying), started waddling a bit, reflux in the morning and at night, feeling giant, pressure down below and super emotional suddenly. But guys, help, I am only 22 weeks and 6 days, lol. It is too early to be feeling this way! Where's my 2nd trimester reprieve?
  • @deutschmama @scaredunprepared Not having full on leaking, but also have had "gook" (lol, that's definitely the right word) for a while now.
  • My belly kind of popped in the past week or so. Up until about 18 weeks I really wasn’t showing. Now 19+4 it’s starting to be a little more noticeable. Maybe I’ll have to wear something to make it pop to “announce” it at work sometime this week.

So, not surprising given the above, but I’ve been having lots of RLP, belly discomfort, and a weird stretching/buzzing thing a couple days last week.
  • @omnommer I always feel so awkward when people comment on "How I'm carrying" or how much I'm showing. Some people say ohhh look at that belly and then others tell me they didn't even notice lol. I agree, just go with "You look great" and everything will be fine

Like others, also feeling overstuffed and uncomfortable.  My insides are starting to feel crowded - I feel like I can't take a deep breath and constantly feel like I can't get enough air.

I've been getting a lot of tightness and pressure if I've been moving around a lot.  I did housework all day yesterday and after a while the BHs just would not stop.  But then I remembered I bought one of those goofy pregnancy support belts that velcro around you.  I put it on and the difference was immediate!   The BHs completely stopped and I was able to finish everything.

Currently I'm carrying 100% out in front, which I feel like may be contributing to the crampy issues after being active.   Reallyyyyyy wishing things would spread out to the sides even just a little bit to relieve some of the pressure...

I've definitely noticed that I'm walking differently and starting to waddle.

  • @echo-charlietango yay for feeling little dude!
  • @echo-charlietango Yay I'm so glad you're feeling your LO now!!
  • @echo-charlietango yay!!!  Glad little one is moving around for you to feel it. Now after seeing mine moving like crazy and knowing how up she is, I feel like I am all of a sudden feeling so much more! I think it's just that I'm more aware of it and more certain it's her rather than just dismissing it as gas and ignoring it.  I am PRETTY sure I'm feeling it on the outside too, which I was not expecting for many weeks.  It feels like a pulse, but arrhythmic and kind of all over the place.

@hkom baby is spread across me horizontally and I think I still might need to get a support belt because I'm having weird pains in my belly.  Maybe BH?

These new pains/ spasms/ cramps only started today, after the US tech was really jabbing me and shaking baby trying to move her into a better position.  I am slightly worried, but hoping they go away as quickly as they came.  SO is angry and told me that nothing better be wrong with baby, because if it is he will blame the tech and they will never hear the end of it. I'm kind of thinking and worried about the same thing, but in the moment I needed to be the voice of reason.  I think baby is just fine because I know she's well padded in there, but can't help but worry after all the manhandling by the tech and sudden onset of this new symptom.
  • @PensiveCrayon fx that’s the case for me too! I like that positive spin on my not so fun leakage.

@Activebaby that’s awesome you’re still getting in your runs so consistently! We don’t have a treadmill so I do all my running outside and it’s so difficult for me to deviate from my normal pace. I’ll start off slower but eventually end up back at my regular speed- a treadmill would be super helpful with pacing better, I’m sure.

@scaredunprepared Hmm i don't know... My BH aren't painful at all, but I know they can be for some women. At the end of the day, if I've been relatively active, I sometimes get pelvic and back pressure that can be painful though. I hope your spasms go away soon! If you're on the fence about the belt I would do it.  Just the one time I've used it and it worked instantly was worth it for me haha.

  • @hkom I'm definitely in the already waddling club! Especially when I need to pee. It's hilarious to me. :)

  • I have a question! Has anyone experienced this?

This is my 2nd pregnancy, and I did not have these with my first. But very occasionally, maybe twice a week, I will get this super violet shaking, or spamming, tremor type feeling in my stomach. It only lasts a second then it's gone and I am fine. It doesn't hurt at all, just feels sooo odd and uncomfortable. I was reading a story to my son before his nap when it happened, and I jumped so bad from it that my son almost fell out of my lap! It's at the left side of my stomach, about where I feel the baby kick some. THIS IS SO WEIRD!! Has anyone had those? It can't just be flutters. It's really strong tremors. Like, really fast shaking.

@Whitmore1027 I’ve had weird vibrating/buzzing sensations but they’ve last longer and felt more like my whole uterus was vibrating (not baby). I’m going to ask about it at my next OB visit, but my take overall is that pregnacy does weird things to the body and that’s okay, not udually something to worry about.
  • @Whitmore1027 I’ve felt it too! Personally I don’t worry about any bodily sensations unless they hurt - then I might talk to a doctor about it if it becomes a recurring issue. FWIW I read that the buzzing sensation is baby putting pressure on the pelvic floor, just for funsies.

  • @Katzalia and @echo-charlietango Yeah, I wasn't so freaked out that I was going to run to the hospital or anything, because it didn't hurt just felt sooo weird and kind of uncomfortable in a way. I feel like it could have been one of two things. Uterus spasms from growing (don't know a lot about it, but I read that that's a thing). Or the baby's nervous system maturing so it kind of jerked a lot. I feel like the vibration feeling was way to strong to actually be the baby, so maybe it was the uterus...I don't know...haha. But I have my A.S. in 2 weeks, so I'll ask about it then. It's weird because it was at the front left side right about where the baby hangs out lately.

  •  I have been getting an awful cramp on my right side anytime I move too quickly or walk for too long. I was almost doubled over just walking the block the other night. It has been going on for over a week. So annoying!
  • @PensiveCrayon Yeah, this LO is definitely feeling much bigger, movement wise! I'm starting to get some pretty solid kicks!

Symptom wise, I am having so much more RLP this time around, it's crazy! Got a really sharp one after a sneeze yesterday and two painful ones while rolling over in my sleep, which was new for me. Every time I have it my husband freaks out, lol. I keep telling him it's normal.
