Reading is my favorite hobby. When I get time (not often lately), I print with my antique letterpress printer and lots of lovely metal and wooden type in my basement. (My poor print shop has been so neglected since my kids came along, but they are growing up fast.)
I do not have any hobbies that I do on a regular basis (should probably find something), but DH and I do enjoy scuba diving. We just don't get to do it often.
@catlady2015 I have printed my sisters' wedding invitations, my DDs birth announcements, Christmas cards, party invitations, etc. It's mostly small projects for myself, family and friends.
I love to read and am almost always in the middle of 4 books! Also hiking to new waterfalls, art (used to be painting and drawing but lately I'm trying embroidery because there is less cleanup involved) and cooking/baking healthy treats so I can eat them all in two days guilt free!
I like to read, I go in spurts as to what type of books I'm into. I probably watch more HGTV then I need to. On weekends, DH and I try to do at least one "family day" where we take the kid to the zoo, aquarium, bike riding, or to one of the million museums in our city. I don't have a ton of free time, though, with working a very demanding job and going to grad school part time.
Travelling is probably our main hobby, although now with number 2 I suspect we might have to cut back a little. I used to read a lot but have had a hard time getting into anything lately. I love craft projects - nothing I do seriously, just kind of jump from craft to craft. My FI and I are also big into board gaming. @thedaint87 I love 7 Wonders and Ticket to Ride!
I also took up crocheting last winter so i'm just kind of getting into the swing of things there. I make a LOT of washcloths but I've made full size blankets and baby blankets as well.
If TV counts as a hobby, I "do" that. I love tv! Lots of terrible reality/competition shows but also all the dramas.
On weekends, my family and I like to go camping. We purchased a new travel trailer this year and love spending time exploring our province.
@diann21 we are Disney people too. Actually have a trip booked for December! Those drawings are darling!
@bdesterhouse Do you want a cat? We have 4 and would gladly spare one or two....
im not really a hobby person. I love the idea of crafting but I’m not very talented, I try gardening every year but everything dies. Basically when I’m not at work or playing with my DD I can be found at target or watching tv.
I do like fantasy football and am usually the commissioner for our family league. Any others that would be interested in forming a league??
Me: 30 DH: 31 Married: 2012 BFP #1 Sept 2014, MMC Dec 2014 | BFP #2 May 2015, DD Jan 2016 | BFP #3 May 2017, MC July 2017 | BFP #4 Jan 2018, MC Feb 2018 | BFP #5 July 2018, fingers crossed
Whenever I get the chance I like home decorating/interior design, travel, photography. My life kind of revolves around my kids activities now that they are older and I do love spending time at the dance studio, ball fields, etc.
i'm late to the party on this thread but i'm loving reading everyone's hobbies! i sing and play piano (i was a theatre major back in college and i performed in the actors equity union for a few years until i settled down and got married). i also have a dog (soon to be two) and DH and i are major foodies - we love trying out new restaurants. we also love to travel as much as we can.... my family has a home by the beaches in calabria, italy where my father was born and raised - we go there every summer - heading there on august 25th! ...and then there's the hobby that turned into my career! about 2 years ago i started indigo heights, a life + style blog that focuses on attainable, affordable fashion and the experiences that go along with the outfits! if you're on instagram you can follow along: www.instagram.com/indigoheightsblog or just check out the website which is www.indigoheightsblog.com it started as fun and turned into a job - and i'm loving every minute! can't wait to include baby in it!
I love reading all the hobbies everyone enjoys. It's very inspirational to start something new for me. Personally, I enjoy playing outside with DD, she's 2 now and it's so much fun. I also really enjoy doing puzzles, I get completely wrapped up in them when I start.

My main hobby is DH & I have a pulling truck and attend at least 20 truck pulls every summer. When we're on our way to an event or have downtime at home I like to read (anything really), crochet, and buy yarn that I swear I'm going to make something with
And it’s fun to see other gamers. We used to have weekly game nights for tabletop games, but we all had kids and it doesn’t happen often anymore. I hold hope that we will start again in the future. We all keep buying games, but we probably only play once or twice a year. Catan was our staple, but we also do 7 wonders, dominion, carcassone and similar games.
@peacebubblebaby Playing games with kids is so hard. We never get to play now. Our newest game is Pandemic. We really like it and its hard to beat with two players. But we haven't had the time to actually play without DD grabbing the pieces off the board.
Dixit seems to be a good game for both kids and adults (my nephew LOVES it).
@Love4Labs326 I go for the most number of piece jigsaw puzzles as well, but I really need to set up a card table or something because unless I have all day to dedicate to the puzzle, I never get it done in one sitting lol.
Gosh I haven't done a jigsaw in YEARS. I love them though. They are a great winter activity. It is necessary to get a good table though and we don't have one. Also, I don't think DH is into them and they are less fun alone in my opinion. I like the competitive aspect of trying to find more matches than the other person.
No, we don’t really play games just the two of us. We spend more time with Netflix and Hulu when it’s just the two of us if he convinces me to play just the two of us, we usually play zombie dice
Aww yay, some fellow board gamers here! MH and I have a closet dedicated to board/card games and have friends over for game nights sometimes. We have also been on a jigsaw puzzle kick lately. I also enjoy reading and watching Netflix (way more than I should). I'm sure baby will cause a big shift in time management.
@mayoduck I actually used Netflix to help me stay awake at night when up feeding my first child for hours at a time. She’s also pretty good about letting us play board games with friends. We usually just give her some cheap playing cards to play with so she feels included.
@stmgsam3 Good idea! I'll have to remember your trick to have an extra set of cards for my little one whenever we try to bring those two worlds together. Thanks for the tip!

@navete our kids are not the age to play games that are not kid specific games. Most are between 4 years and 2 months old lol.

I love to read and obsess over baby names, too. I never get to read anything on actual paper anymore, though. Maybe in about a decade!
