Hi everyone! I just found out this week I'm pregnant with baby number three. I've lost about 45 lbs on weight watchers since February and have been running and doing yoga regularly.
My plan is to continue weight watchers on maintenance and maybe say I'm breastfeeding so it gives me more points.
My question to the group is if you have any healthy eating plans or workout goals(this is my first time doing it this way)?
Re: Healthy Eating and Excercise 8/6
My my plan is to keep up with my home workouts - combo cardio and weight training and aim for 4 workouts a week. Healthy eating wise I am keeping with what I have been doing - Whole Foods, constant supply of healthy, filling snacks and lots of meal prep. Holding off on sweet snacks has already been an issue this pregnancy, so I welcome the support! I also am trying to be active whenever I can - running around with the kids, after dinner walks, cleaning etc. doing that is helping ward off the exhaustion somewhat.

I try to have a healthy diet normally, although I'm already craving more carbs than usual. I also do Crossfit 3-4 times a week, and I've been doing that for 7 years, including throughout my first pregnancy.
Yoga is super relaxing, and I'm terrible at running or making myself run
My goals during this pregnancy is to keep as healthy of a diet as possible (I'm vegetarian so sometimes have a hard time eating enough quality calories), and to continue doing Crossfit throughout.
I’ve found that I don’t have much of an appetite in the mornings, but I wake up around 6 am STARVING, so I have to eat something. I did an English muffin one day with avocado and turkey bacon, a banana protein smoothie another, and today I had an intense craving for sausage/cheese bisquick balls. I made a big batch and bagged some up and tossed them in the freezer for my breakfasts. Dinner is some type of chicken dish or a vegetarian rice bowl, sometimes something smaller like edamame.
As far as workouts go, I’m going on walks and doing prenatal yoga. Keeping it simple as my job can be physically taxing as it is.
Lets keep up the good work!
I would love to have a weekly discussion on how we're doing and what we may be struggling with! I know I won't be telling any pregnant ladies to not eat the cheesecake, but I'm more than happy to discuss some good options or alternatives!
I'm already fearing this may be a "pizza pregnancy" lol.... but my plan is to do my best and remind myself how good it feels fuel my body with healthy food!
@scp2585, I use the DownDog app on my phone. It's nice because you can choose a variety of options, such as length of practice, beginner to advanced, or specific body areas to hit. It's the only way I get any yoga in cause I don't have easy childcare or the financial ability to go to regular classes.
I walk my dog with my son (so maybe 30 pounds between him and the stroller) for about 45 minutes a day and ride a stationary bike for 20. I go to yoga classes at a studio 4-5 times per week, some classes are harder than others so I’ll probaby stop attending some of the more difficult vinyasa classes when they no longer feel great. I’d like to keep with most of my current routine and it’s worked so far but damn, sleep would help.
Diet wise I eat vegan at maintenance calories and have a huge daily protein smoothie. The biggest change is eating a decent breakfast; I’ve never been a breakfast person but I remember morning sickness being particularly bad on an empty stomach during my previous pregancies. I’ve been making overnight oats in the fridge (1:1 ratio old fashioned oats to almond milk or oat milk, tablespoon or so of brown sugar or agave syrup, berries/fruit/nuts of choice) and it’s delicious.
Goal: lots of healthy eating.. set up elliptical in garage and get on it!
i didn’t know you sociuld stay on WW. I cancelled my account when I got my bfp.
Here’s to us creating happy and healthy goals in pregnancy!!!

I have a friend who is at the tail end of her pregnancy and did a lot of YouTube yoga workouts. I think it was BodyFit by Amy or something like that. I will ask her and report back.
Also, I have Beachbody on Demand and there is a whole prenatal section on there including workouts from Autumn, creator of the 21 Day Fix, which are the workouts I did post partum last time around. I'm excited to check those out.

I'm so glad I've got a healthy head start and need to stay really focused on continuing my excercise.
@dapoint23- it’s always funny for me to see people craving sweets, because right now I HATE sweets! All I want is salt, salt, salt.
Hoping to limit weight gain to 15-20 lb this pregnancy, which I think is possible if I continue the exercise. I think there are some prenatal yoga videos on YogaGlo that I want to try too.
I need breakfast ideas... I usually force myself to have eggs, but they've sounded completely unappealing to me lately (oatmeal as well). This morning I ended up having a few veggie sausages and that was it. Bleh. I know I need more calories to start the day off right, but nothing sounds good. It looks like I'm not the only one on here who isn't feeling breakfast lately, haha.
@lyse01, is YogaGlo a free app?
Also, yesterday I had leftover stir fry for breakfast. Definitely going to try to get back into making some bran muffins for the family every week though: https://smittenkitchen.com/2014/05/blue-sky-bran-muffins/
I'm in between a 34B/34C currently. Thanks!
I actually went to the gym this morning and exercised for 30 minutes! I think I'm gonna try to go 3x week either in the mornings or during lunch. I felt really awful my last pregnancy and I'm hoping exercising and eating healthier will make this pregnancy better.
I have been doing good so far this week - three morning workouts at 6am. I'm currently doing BodyShred by Jillian Michaels. While I love a good sweat in the morning, I felt tired by the time I got to work. The first trimester exhaustion is real!
I also wanted to share our dinner recipe from last night in case anyone is on the hunt for some healthy options. It is one of our go to weeknight meals because it is quick to throw together. Plus, I'm making an effort to eat more fish this pregnancy:

I used all fresh tomatoes and herbs from my garden and it was delicious. Also roasted some corn and broccoli that we had in the fridge as a side.

@kitkat8387, way to go, that's awesome! I'm already craving carbs, so I'm in the same boat. Hopefully we can share healthy recipes on here that get us through the first trimester nausea!
@socks2819, thanks for the tip, I'll try looking at their online outlet store! That recipe sounds delicious! We grew some fresh mint and basil this summer, and DH has really enjoyed having it for cooking.
If you can't find a prenatal specific class you could talk to the instructor at your gym and they could suggest pose modifications for you throughout the session.
@professormama I was thisclose to signing up for a 5k for the fall. I'm up to 2m straight at about an 11.5 pace but it's inside on the treadmill. I still have time to sign up but we'll see. If not, I'll just cheer you on from afar
I'll start going to the gym tomorrow for some treadmill time!
