    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU: CM/CP/BBT/OPK, supplements

R/R: OPKs are still negative which shouldn't be any cause for concern at this point, but I don't like waiting anymore.

  • Sorry I've been MIA, ladies! I went on vacation last week and then after a hopeful TWW, CD1 came and really burst my bubble. I needed to take a couple of days to NOT think about TTC. I can't wait to catch up with everyone today!

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: B6, charting, acupuncture, PNV, will be doing OPKs when it's time

R/R: I got to have a really fun work outing yesterday that meant half a day in an arcade drinking and playing games and eating yummy food. It was really cool to be with my coworkers in that fun and relaxed atmosphere since we work in corporate America and so many days are filled with stress and deadlines.

    CS/Q: Nope!
  • @harrierwife I looooooove that movie!

R/R: Week is almost over! I have a busy weekend but I'm looking forward to all the family and BFF time I'll get

CS/Q: Still nothing exciting to see. Do have Qs though. A friend recommended I ask my OB about an HSG. TW**loss

Google has made me think that it may be "extream meassure" for my symptoms and considering it's only been 4 failed cycles since loss. But, google also has me worried that the D&C could have caused some damage and maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea. Qs are 1- is it likely that I wouldn't notice "problems" from the D&C until the 3rd cycle (I feel like it would have been right away) after? and 2 - Is an HSG something that should be considered (in your non medical professional options)?

ETA spoiler that I forgot to add.

  • @literatureandink I'm starting acupuncture on tomorrow! I'm looking forward to it. How long have you been doing it? Are you enjoying it? Have you noticed any changes?

    @prpl11butterfly see comments in spoiler

I haven't had any scar tissue after loss but I know doc easily see any issues/scar tissue on a sono. I would push to have one if they don't offer it. I can't speak to HSG but I think it's worth mentioning to the doc. I'll also say if you don't feel like your OB is digging deep enough, I would recommend seeing a RE if you can. Mine has been SO much more thorough than my OB would ever even consider.

    Month/Cycle: 11/7

WAYDTGKU: Benched for now, but still watching my cycle

R/R: Today is my Friday, which I am SO thankful for. I have yoga and reading and acupuncture on my list of things to do tomorrow and I am so excited.

CS/Q: In an odd turn of events, it looks like I'm gearing up to O on an actual CD 14 which has never happened before...I've always consistently been on CD 18.  *TW* This is my first cycle after miscarriage so that may have something to do with it.. But it seems like this cycle would be either delayed ovulation or ann-O *End TW* I'm not reading too much into it right now but it's VERY interesting.
  • @nomangos23 Your Friday sounds absolutely divine! I had my first acupuncture appointment last week, and my next one is Saturday, and I'll be weekly from now on. So far I LOVE it. @sparklingdiamond actually turned me on to it because I know it did so much for her and her cycles. I ovulate but my ovulation is kind of "late" (CD17-19 usually) and my LP is kind of short (9/10 days - usually 10) so my acupuncturist is trying to get my body to O closer to CD14 and lengthen my LP to at least 11 or 12 days. We'll see how it goes but I have heard wonderful things from many people about the fertility benefits of it.

@prpl11butterfly I don't have any experience with the loss part but in my non medical opinion, if you have questions or doubts, a HSG can't hurt.
  • @harrierwife I love the gif!
@literatureandink that sounds like a really fun outing! It's always nice to blow off some steam with your coworkers now and then
@prpl11butterfly sorry I don't know much about HSGs but I hope you enjoy your busy weekend!
@nomangos23 your plans for tomorrow sound lovely and I hope you enjoy it!

    CS/Q: not right now
  • Hi ladies. Sitting at the hospital waiting for my appt so I’m bored. Thank you @nomangos23 @harrierwife @allegram16 for your good thoughts from yesterday.

@Harrierwife you have the best GIFs lol.
@literatureandink welcome back, we missed you! Sorry AF is a biatch. That work event sounds totally awesome.
@prpl11butterfly I have no advice but hope you can find the answers you’re looking for. Even if that is just some reassurance that it’s nothing to worry about.
@nomangos23 I think I’m going to switch acupuncturists (is that a word or did I make that up?) now that I’ve moved. I found a really good, highly rated clinic near the new house that has a specific fertility program that they offer. I’m going to look into it further. Happy “Friday” to you! Your weekend plans sound lovely.

    WAYDTGKU: all the things

R/R: thank you ladies for letting me rant yesterday. I was crabby from lack of sleep and I’m feeling pretty sheepish about it today. Sometimes my SO knows me too well, like there are days I wonder if he can read my mind. He was extra extra sweet and attentive last night. Against our better judgements we did manage to BD too, which we’re paying for a little today lol. We’re not that old but our bodies make us feel that way.

    *TW* babies -

My mom’s best friend’s daughter had her baby on Tuesday and my brother sent me a text this morning: “pls hurry up and have babies, my non-existent ovaries are tingling.” (my brother is gay, and single, so he’s living vicariously through me). Sigh. If only he knew...

    *end TW*

CS/Q: nothing new to see today. Started a modified PCOS diet two days ago so let’s see how that affects my chart over time (if I can stick to it).

  • New to this group of girls but happy to start finally contributing!

@prpl11butterfly I had a HSG when we were seeing our RE when trying for our 1st. Since I had endo, I really thought the HSG was going to show some blockages, but luckily it came back ok. You could try and push for one, as it was a really helpful diagnostic tool in our case.

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 8

    WAYDTGKU: Temping, FF, OPK's

R/R: Ever since I've had my first pp period, my O has been so late. One month I didn't O until CD 45. Lately it's been around CD 18-20. But it can be all over the place so I'm hoping that I can still get some well timed HIO.

    CS/Q: nothing right now.
  • Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 14

    WAYDTGKU: PNVs, temping

    R/R: *TW* child mentioned
I temped when TTC DD and still barely see a pattern looking back at the cycle we conceived. I'm technically TTA this cycle as my OB doesn't want me to get pregnant until at least late August but I figure if I have a long cycle, DH and I could try. Waiting to use the OPKs I bought until next cycle.
I'm completely aware that it's early days but I forgot how frustrating temping was as before I ovulate, my temps are all over the place, I don't have a coverline, just a slightly smaller range of temps after O. I'm just coming off of the progesterone only pill so expecting this cycle to be wonky

CS/Q: Not really a question but I need to take the time to figure out how to integrate my FF chart.

    Babysizer Cravings Pregnancy Baby Tracker

  • Thank for the input @nomangos23 @mrsjqg1024. The nurse said I'd likely be having US too but start with the exam. I dont want to let this go on only to find 6m from now that there was something. But I also know that 4m is nothing in TTC time so it seemed like a big request to make.

@kiki047 I would totally let him know what's been going on. It sounds like he would be super supportive and a great shoulder during all of this.

@kvh22 do you temp orally? I am in my 2nd vaginal cycle and things look so much different. I switched because my temps were everywhere (and too many variables made TWW even worse.....). I'll never look back.
  • @nomangos23 your Friday sounds awesome! I'm jealous

@literatureandink I love those fun work outings, too! I feel like it does wonders for group dynamics. We just had our marketing picnic yesterday but for the first time in 7 years, no alcohol. I had two glasses of wine when I met friends for dinner to make up for it ;)

@prpl11butterfly I'd say do a little more research, then have a conversation with your doctor. If it doesn't line up or appease you, a second opinion might be a good option.

    Babysizer Cravings Pregnancy Baby Tracker

  • @prpl11butterfly yes, I do orally. Vaginally would probably be better. At this point, I should wait until next cycle, right?

    Babysizer Cravings Pregnancy Baby Tracker

  • @kvh22 seeing as you are CD14, yes. Definitely wait until next cycle (if there is a next cycle) and switch. I temp through AF but a few of the ladies here do not. I don't think it makes much of a difference. Here is a link to my FF chart if you want to see the difference. And correction, this is my 3rd cycle after switching.

    https://FertilityFriend.com/home/6c5a2d/
  • @prpl11butterfly thanks and WOW! That's a pretty drastic change. And your charts before look kind of like mine. Now I wish I'd done this cycle vaginally. At least we're TTA unless this is a really long cycle, but I don't think I'll be able to tell when I ovulate. Is there a reason you track your resting heart rate?

    Babysizer Cravings Pregnancy Baby Tracker

  • @kvh22 theory is that it follows the pattern of BBT and can be an indication of impending O (and pregnancy). I wanted to see if there was any truth in that. Last cycle was the first time that it actually seemed to line up.
  • Ok, I've had a couple hours to process things after my appt. Doc basically confirmed what I already knew - PCOS. He said my fibroid is nothing to be concerned about at this point. It's on the outside of my uterus so that's the best possible place for it to be in terms of TTC. It shouldn't interfere with anything, but it will probably grow and is big enough that it may just cause some pain/discomfort during pregnancy. He was really reassuring and understanding, I guess he could see the terror on my face because he took the time to walk me through everything and assure me that lots of women with PCOS can get KU (which I already knew, but needed it hear it). He said he could do further testing himself but suggested I’d want to be referred to a fertility clinic/RE instead. I agreed.

I was heartbroken having to break the news to my SO. He just feels like he can’t catch a break. A bit of history in the spoiler as a refresher of our/his backstory

My SO's ex-wife was diagnosed with IF, low/nonexistent ovarian reserve. They tried for the better part of 5 years, multiple rounds of IUI/IVF, only to find she only ever produced two eggs in all those ERs. Needless to say it was unsuccessful. They decided to go the egg donor route but didn’t follow through because he realized he didn’t actually want kids with her. It was a blessing in disguise as their relationship was so toxic.
By some miracle, she got KU by her new boyfriend without even knowing it. It’s extremely high risk but she’s due in Jan.

We’re trying to stay positive about what the future holds for us as I know there are worst things to be faced with, but it wasn’t what we wanted to hear at this point. He’s still terrified that the reason neither his ex or I have been able TGKU is due to his MFI. He’s been tested before and although he didn’t have stellar results from the SA, they ruled him out as the one with the problem.

@prpl11butterfly now that I've gotten my official diagnosis, I think I'll be looping my family in on it (to an extent). I know they’ll all be super supportive. My dad cried when I told him this afternoon. Bless his heart. <3
