Progesterone Support

I am starting Progesterone vaginal inserts later this cycle. I heard I should expect leaking, plus sore boobs and constipation. Anyone have any tips?

Re: Progesterone Support

  • no tips per se, but the thing that stinks about progesterone is that it can mimic pregnancy symptoms like whoa.  i have had morning nausea and hot flashes as well as the leaking and sore boobs.  Haven't had the constipation.  Anyway, try your best not to symptom-spot, since progesterone muddies those waters.  GL to you.

  • Make sure to lay down for about 20 minutes after. That helps with the leaking and keeping it all in there.

  • Start taking probiotics and fiber supplements...they help a lot on the constipation part! I've been on PIO for weeks...at 1st it wasn't fun, but now things are back to normal. I religiously take them both nightly :)

  • It's been a lot better to take them at night for me. I wear a pad and it helps catch the pinkish gel color that leaks back out overnight. Definitely expect symptoms like @wishing-and-hoping said. Mine so far are mostly nausea, dizziness, and headaches.
